History

Established in 2003.

We started as a small home based service business and most of our jobs came from home owners. In 2004 we started working with Friedman Properties in down town Chicago and we completed several projects for them since. You can see some of the work we did for them on our website. We also have had great collaboration efforts with several contractors and we’re completing more and more projects on new buildings.

A+. Had Paul and 3 crew out late November/​early Dec (2015) for 1300 sq feet of New floor on first floor. Tear out of carpeting/​linoleum & subfloor. Installed red oak wood floor/​stain & door/​window molding. Incredibly showed up at 7:00 am every day including Thanksgiving. Also, later came back over the same day to follow-​up on concern/​question I had.

Zudor did an amazing job on our floors. Paul the owner was great; he explained everything in detail and got the job done BEFORE scheduled. As a bonus, they used some sort of dustless method so clean up was very very easy. I’d hire this company again in a heartbeat.

We had a tight timeline to refinish the old floors in a 4-​bedroom fixer-​upper we bought, and the Zudor team got to our house not only on time but early, on a Saturday, before 7am. Paul and his team worked past 9pm that night and were back bright and early the next day to finish, ensuring they met our timeline while also doing beautiful work. The floors look amazing! And he even got under the radiators. He may not have officially guaranteed they’d be done on time but he clearly intended to finish on our schedule, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
When Paul had come to the house before we had closed on it for the estimate, he was very respectful of the elderly woman that we were buying from who was present. For example, he whispered and didnt let her see him measuring or inspecting. This considerate behavior put his very reasonable estimate over the edge as the winner for the job.

I got quotes from three flooring companies and I choose Paul Zudor Flooring for my floor refinishing work. Paul was extremely friendly and answered all my questions. I decided to have him do two jobs. One at my condo that I’m renting and one at my home. The condo had some flooring that needed to be replaced and floors refinished. My home just had to have the kitchen floor refinished. Both jobs were done extremely well. I can’t tell which boards he replaced. And the flooring for both places match existing flooring. He is very timely and gets the job done ahead of schedule. He thoroughly cleans up after the job is finished. I will definitiely use him again!

Showed up early, quoted a good price, and recommended a good tile contractor on top of it. Work was done on time and priced right in line with everyone else we talked to.

Paul did a very good job on our floors, they look great. He was very flexible when it came to scheduling and dealing with the fact that we were unable to clear our unit of the furniture completely. After you meet him, you will have no worries about giving him a set of your house keys (which I cannot say about every contractor that I’ve hired).

I recently called Paul at Zudor to investigate why my engineered hardwood floors were warping. Paul came in and investigated and found that my dishwasher had been leaking for a while and was causing the floors to warp. The Zudor team assessed the damage, pulled the flooring up so it could dry and replaced with new flooring. I was so happy with the service and pricing that I had them also replace the carpeting on my stairwell and landing with hardwood as well. The whole crew was professional and very detailed (and they put up with my dog following them in and out). The floors looked great — better than when originally installed by another contractor. I wish I would have called Zudor when I was installing the first time (their experience really shows). Lastly, one very important item to me when hiring a contractor is that they are on time. Not only did they start at 7am the days they were there, they were there 10 minutes early! Well done!
I will definitely be calling Zudor again when I want to complete the rest of the house.

We needed to have our hardwood floors refinished and re-​sanded for our new house. We received several quotes and Zudor flooring not only came in the fastest, but also the most reasonable. Paul came to quote the job and was prompt and pleasant. He took his time inspecting the job and asked all the right questions. We decided to use him for the work and could not have been more pleased with the finished project. His crew was on time every day and the job was perfect. The crew spent hours on their hands and knees inspecting every inch to make sure our floors were exactly as we wanted. He let us choose from several stains and mixed the colors until we found the perfect match. He was patient with us and a very fast worker. He kept the dust out of the rooms they were not working on and we could not be happier with the way our floors turned out. We get compliments from every visitor in our home and are happy to refer Zudor flooring!

We needed to have our hardwood floors sanded and refinished as we hadn’t done so for 15+years. Paul Zudor was prompt in his response to my request for a bid, took time to walk around my floors and point out possible problems (such as a severe pet stain). He gave a verbal quote but was quick to provide a written proposal when I asked for one. He was courteous to put up plastic at entrances to keep dust down, he also vacuumed on a regular basis, again to keep dust down. His price was very fair and the workmanship fantastic, we couldn’t be more pleased.
