Excellent service from this local business. A good citizen, supporting local groups. Friendly staff and excellent work. Always a pleasure to visit them.

This is my go-​to cleaners. I’ve been coming here for almost two years and they do a great joYb getting my clothes dry cleaned. They also have great customer service, I live in Glenview and never hesitate to do the drive to drop off my clothes to this cleaners.

Went there cause I needed one my clothes fixed up before a important weekend. When I went to pick it up they had done nothing with my clothes. Luckily management saw nothing was done and gave my money back, but what’s the point of having a tailoring service if you’re not going to do any work…

Have been coming here for over 8 years, the staff is great and very friendly. I recently moved out of the area and had a few unsuccessful attempts at finding another dry cleaner (think ruined shirts). I know travel 15 mins out of my way to come back. The service is great!

Excellent service. The owners and staff go out of their way to service both their costumers and the community and are not afraid to give something back. I had a very large dry cleaning order and everyone was accommodating and eager to help. I would definitely recommend this cleaners to anyone.

How rude… can you believe the owner had the nerve to call me and he screamed at me for posting a negative review about his cleaners, he yelled so rudely at me and then he stated, «Since you posted a negative post of my cleaners and my staff, «We are not going to repair your dress!» My hubby picked up my evening dress the very next day. He said he wasn’t there at that time and I said he was probably hiding in the back of the store. My dress was partially repaired. I was never refunded not a cent for the botched job alteration that I paid for. The Asian seamstress was the (only person) in the store who seem concerned and was very apologetic. I don’t blame her at all. I feel that she is not an experienced seamstress. The Owner probably will only hire and pay for cheap labor and refuses to pay a decent salary to his employees. «You pay for what you get». His behavoir is totally unacceptable. Inside the cleaners there is a sign on the wall requesting for customers to please Post your review on Unilocal of your experience at The Cleanery and that’s simply what I did, where is the problem?
How can an Owner treat his customers this way and why should I just let him get away with it — without warning prospective customers?
This place is horrible! They will NEVER EVER get any more business from me again, my family or my friends and if he has the balls to ever call me again, I will add «Harrassment» to my current Case that I have already filed against cleaners. I continue to ask myself, «Are they really worth my precious time in court for a lousy, petty $ 85.» They must be starving for business or just plain dirty greedy. Stressing over their lousy service, they’re NOT WORTH IT. God sees and hears all.

WARNING! Unprofessional, very poor customer service. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

I brought a shirt to be cleaned and starched on a Wednesday, and was promised by the lady at the place if it would be ready by Friday. (I needed it for a wedding that Friday.) On Friday, when I went to pick it up, the same lady told me it had not come in. No apology, no explanation, nothing. I asked to speak to the manager, but he was not there –I was told. I went the following Tuesday to pick it up again, and I got my shirt. Same lady working-​no apologies or anything. As another reviewer said, they have a sign asking customers to review them on Unilocal.But if your service stinks why put a sign like that up. I went there becasue I want to support local businesses, but I will never go there again. You have been warned!

I’ve only used them a couple times and both times we had problems. First time was with a work coat. We got the coat back but w/​o the liner. When we finally got the liner back it wasn’t cleaned. We had similar problem with my wife’s leather coat. It was a very expensive cleaning and was returned w/​o detachable hood. In both cases the problems were resolved but two for two on carelessness.

This place is always been dependable and fast with my dry cleaning needs. I had some drapes that had some candlewax spill on them and they got the stains out beautifully. They were fantastic.

This is a warning to anyone who is considering this place. Do not give them business for the following reasons. As a cleaning service, they may be fine as are most of the plethora of drycleaners in close vicinity to this one. However, if you have any type of problem, their customer service is in the least unprofessional, rude and I’d go as far as to say abusive. I brought in a pair of Ugg boots that I told them to call before cleaning because there was nail polish on them and I didn’t want to pay the (crazy) price of 40 dollars to have them cleaned if it couldn’t be removed. My husband went in to pick them up after I told them not to clean them because they said they would not be able to remove the nail polish. Notes on the receipt and the boots said DO NOT CLEAN and the boots were in the same condition they were in when I brought them, with dirt on the bottom and salt and other verious marks that would have been removed if they were cleaned (they were obviously never touched). However, my husband didn’t know this and paid them. I came back in to explain what happened and to get back our money that we paid for no service to be done, and the girl behind the counter got the manager on the phone. Within a minute of attempting an explanation on the phone, this man was screaming at me, saying I will never get my money back and that no one there would give me my money back. He ended up hanging up on me after an unstable rant and I don’t want anyone else to have to deal with such a horrific experience with a drycleaners. Most small business owners are wonderful and make an effort to survive in a world of chain businesses via their reputation and good customer service. The Cleanery does not even make an effort to do this and I highly recommend to go to any of the other various drycleaners around because you don’t want to go through what I went through if something does go wrong.
