I would highly recommend John’s Roofing & Construction. They replaced our roof, soffits, Fascia, and gutters and did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. We received several other quotes and their’s was the lowest. Work was done in 2011. A+

Part of our gutter fell off(heavy ice) the second story of our house and it was just hanging, blowing in the wind and dangerous. I called several roofing companies and many could not come out for days. John’s roofing called me right back, came to my house that afternoon, and emailed me a proposal all on the same day. They were at my house the following afternoon, and replaced the gutter. Such excellent service needs to be recognized. Thank you Roman, co-owner of John’s roofing!

We’re really pleased with our experience with John’s Roofing. We had multiple quotes to repair gutters that were in really bad shape. Roman from John’s gave us a quote to replace all our gutters that was honest and reasonable. The work was done in lightening speed and best of all the gutters no longer overflow and dump out right next to the foundation of our house!

Our roof sprung a leak around a skylight. Almost every roofer we called was not interested in doing any work unless it was a complete re-roof job. Roman from John’s Roofing returned our phone call and came to our house in a timely manner. We agreed to a reasonable price, but the weather turned before the work could get started and we had to wait until the next spring to get the work done. JR answered every phone call and e-mail during the delay and honored the previous year’s price the next spring. The JR workers were prompt, completed the work in just a few hours, and cleaned up after themselves very well. Since then, the northern suburbs where we live have received downpour after downpour — some with tornado grade winds — this summer. We have not seen a single drop of water around the skylight. So kudos to JR for doing a terrific job. The reason for not giving them a full 5-star rating is twofold. First, I think the repairs need to go through a winter-to-summer cycle(aka freeze-thaw) to be completely evaluated. Second, JR did not provide a warranty for the work. I did some research at the time and found that this was not unusual for repair work. So we took a chance, and it has paid off so far. However, roofs are very delicate installations that can domino into big repairs if done incorrectly. I think JR, and the roofing industry in general for that matter, could do a better job meeting their clients halfway by sharing the risk somehow. Despite this, JR acted within industry standards and their repairs are holding up well during a record rainy Chicago summer. Would definitely hire them again. PS: They are listed twice on Unilocal, with diff contact info. Not sure why.
