Royal T’s Car Wash and Detail

Guy lost my interior piece to my car and coudnt find it yet still charge me for the horrible car wash that didnt even look like it had been washed! I would rather wash it for myself as I am a car guy! Def not the handwashed service I was looking for Cleanmonster offers alot better services in the area id check them out and they are alot cheaper for the same hand wash. Never Will return again.

I have a convertible Mini Cooper S. I took my 2 dogs to the dog park a lot this summer. I live on 102, about 4 blocks from the dog park but I drove there so as to not have to walk the dogs on Fordway. I have a standard poodle and an english lab.
Because of the sand and gravel at the dog park, there was a lot of sand in the car. I wanted to drive home to Alabama and thought I’d get a professional cleaning before leaving. I was quoted $ 170.00 for inside and out detailing of the car. Yikes! I asked if that was for any size vehicle. I mean if I had a gargantuan SUV, would it be the same? The guy thought my Mini was a PT Cruiser. I told him what it was and he said it was still $ 170.00. For this price, they clean everything: wash, wax, interior, upholstery/​leather seats and even grease the door hinges. Probably the trunk too.
I asked if there were anything cheaper because that was very $$$ and he said they have an «express interior» cleaning for $ 40.00. For that price, they don’t clean the upholstery/​leather seats. No shampooing rugs or upholstery or cleaning the leather but clean dash, etc. It sounded like a good deal.
My two dogs (both 60 pounds each) were with me, hanging out of the window, watching everything. I told the guy I’d take my dogs home and be back in a few minutes. He requested 30 minutes to finish the car they were working on. I left there at 3:45, went home, dropped off the dogs, cleaned out all loose papers, removed the radar detector, etc., from the car and drove back. I asked if them if they would vacuum the leather seats and car mats off even though they weren’t washing them. They said they’d vacuum the seats and blow off the mats with air but would not wash them. I told them I was concerned because there was sand in the car from the dog park. The new guy (who wasn’t there initially) pricked up his ears. «Dogs? Does your car have dog hair?» «Not much — it’s mostly sand.» The original guy (who saw the dogs when I was there before; not sure why he didn’t tell me this then) came over and looked in the car and said, «Oh yeah, dog hairs. It’s going to be more money.» Me, «How much more?» Him, «$ 25.00 — 40.00.» Me, «No thank you.»
Then the other guy asked if I wanted the $ 170.00 deal. I inquired if that deal would include everything (the sand and dog hairs) and he said, «No, you have to pay the extra because it’s a bigger job.» Hmmmm… $ 210.00 — $ 225.00 for a detail? No thank you.
Now listen up! Standard poodles do NOT shed. My lab shed some but the biggest problem in my vehicle was the sand from the dog park and most of that was in the mats. I mean if my car was pretty clean, then I wouldn’t want professional help.
So I spent about $ 15.00 at Royal T’s vacuuming and using their self serve car wash. I went back home, put about a tablespoon of dish washing detergent in a bucket of hot water, took a wash cloth and proceeded to clean the seats, the dash, the windows, the rims, etc.
From the time I left Royal T’s at 3:45 to the time I got completely done with everything, it was about 5:30. That’s to drive home, empty the car, put up the dogs, drive back, vacuum, wash the car, go back home, clean the seats, tires, etc., etc. I figure the entire time I spent cleaning the car was about one hour and fifteen minutes. I only spent $ 15.00 to vacuum and use their self serve (the wand, not the touchless) and the dish washing detergent I used on the interior cost practically nothing. And the car looks pretty good!
Now I feel like Jimmy Fallon and want to write a Thank You letter to Royal T’s: (music plays) Thank you, expensive car wash guys at Royal T’s for quoting me such an outrageously high price that it motivated me to do the wash job myself. Thank you!
Thinking about it, I decided that if they paid four young guys $ 10.00 an hour to do the job, that’s $ 40.00 for 4 man hours. Let’s say the equipment, overhead and supplies cost another $ 40.00 per hour. The total for one hours’ work would have been $ 80.00. At that price, they would have made $ 90.00 to $ 145.00 for one hour of work. That seems kind of high for this type of job. If they would have quoted me a reasonable price, say $ 150.00 for everything (including dog hairs and sand) they would have made $ 70.00 in one hour and I might have come back next time.
So thank you Royal T’s… my 60 year old body may be a little sore from bending over and crawling around cleaning everything but my wallet is very happy and my car looks great!
Save yourself some cash and avoid this place.

Great visit to Royal T last week. They are already my go to place for propane refills ($ 15 for grill size). Ordered a full detail of my car in preparation for a work meeting since I’d have clients in the car where normally it’s my 2 year old. Royal T delivered — next day the client asked if I just bought a new car. (It’s 5 years old and 76K miles).
The «full detail» included an exterior wash and wax. The leather on the inside was treated and the floors shampooed. I could not find anything inside that was dusty. They cleaned everything. My junk from the seat pockets and center console was collected in a bag allowing me to get rid of some old stuff. They also found a couple lost items I had forgot about. They even removed the residue on windshield from my old Mass state inspection sticker.
I dropped off in the morning and the guy at the window came out to review the car and discuss the plan. This was unexpected and instantly I felt like they cared about their work. I was surprised it took all day but the end result was worth it. Now my wife wants the same for her car. The full detail is reasonably priced so I’ll be back again.

We thought new cars were clean! They did a fabulous job on our VERY, VERY dirty 1999 Toyota Camry. We are giving this car to relatives and they will be extremely happy. Highly recommend Rob/​Chris/​Joe!!! Wrapped junk in trunk even.

These guys are fantastic. I have be coming here for years without any problems at all. Brian and his crew are always professional and courteous. We have our vehicles detailed about every three months. If you have any issues they will immediately address it and fix it. I had a minor issue with an unclean door jam. This was taken care of and corrected without any questions.
They have been here for years. Brian changed the name, it was similar to another local car wash in Londonderry, which is not even close to the quality of service.
RoyalT car wash always has the latest equipment and is kept in great working order an condition.
RoyalT car wash offers a range of services and many choices of car washes. They will always make sure you are happy. They will fix it or you do not pay. They do great detailing here with very reasonable pricing. Others retailers in the area are more expensive and do not do as great a job. Do yourself a favor and come here for your cars cleaning and makeover.
