I recently purchased my first bass boat at Granite State Dock & Marine. I looked at a number of boats at different places including Bass Pro and Cabela’s. Scott’s customer service was the biggest reason that I decided to purchase here. I never felt like he was trying to sell me a boat. Scott answered all my questions professionally and respectfully. He never bashed a competitor, he simply went over the differences. The most important factor to me was that Scott was the only person who offered to explain everything on the boat to me and even offered to go out on the water with me. Being a first time boat owner I truly appreciated the offer. I would recommend Granite State Dock and Marine to anyone.

So today I went to purchase a snowmobile here. The snowmobile would not go into reverse. A big indicator that it has low compression. So I went and grabbed my compression tester. One side was 135psi. The other was 90psi. They should be within 5lbs from each other. I was still interested in the snowmobile so I went in and talked to the owner. He was very upset that I told him it had low compression and said it was fine and it just needed to warm up. Anyone that knows anything about small engines knows each cylinder shouldnt be that far off. The owner was very ignorant to me. I later called back and offered a lower price due to it needing a new top end. He was very ignorant to me again. I do not recommend this place to anyone. He plans on trying to sneak this by someone, its very clear!

It’s too bad that business owners don’t think twice about how they conduct business these days with all of the ways reviews can be made online. We had a pretty good experience with this place when we first went — the owner seemed very knowledgeable about the trailer we were looking for and told us if he didn’t have one that he could order one right away and have it within a week. We called him about a week after we first went by to ask him to order the trailer. He said sure, let me make some calls and I will get back to you. Two days go by so I decide to call him back and see if he has found anything. He tells me nope, I didn’t forget about you but I have not heard back from my contacts yet. Seemed odd since when were were there a week previous he said he could just pick up the phone and order one. Anyway, he told me he would give me a call back as soon as he heard. That was over a week ago and we have not heard back. Unfortunately there aren’t many options for marinas in the Derry/​Londonderry area so we were happy when we found this place but after this experience we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Great experience. Owner has always gone out of his way for us. He even came to my house after hours to help us with a boat repair. Very knowledgeable and has always answered questions with complete satisfaction and professionalism. He has been honest when work didn’t need to be done. Honest, trustworthy and always quick to help. I will continue to do my business there as well as recommend him to anyone I know! Thanks for being a rare honest businessman!
