Wichita Riding Academy, Inc teaches lessons in horsemanship at all levels. Starting at age 4, we offer group instructions, camps, and clinics.

We want others to learn the responsibilities of caring for a horse and equipment, as well as still and pasture life. You can ride either English or Western in an outdoors or indoor arena.

Our instructors are selected for their experience in horsemanship and abilities to properly instruct students. The Owner, Cheryl, is ARIC Certified and has managed Wichita Riding Academy since it was founded in 1982. Our other instructors are top of line, and have been hired from equestrian colleges.

We offer birthday parties, summer camps, spring break camp, and camp over the holidays! We show our horses locally as well as nationally. We also have an intern program for adults that want to get into the horse business.

History

Established in 1982.

Wichita Riding Academy was founded in 1982. The facility it is in now was built around 20 years ago. Owner Cheryl’s passion can be see through the amazing work Wichita Riding Academy has provided to horses and riders. We hope for many more years of success.

Business Owner

Cheryl Manahan started Wichita Riding Academy, Inc. 1982. In 1995 build our current location. She attended William Woods University Equestrian Program, is a rated USEF judge, American Riding Instructor Certified in Saddle Seat Instruction and Barn Management.

She believes horses are good for kids and a great way for them to learn about life, successes and failures.

A member of United Professional Horseman Association for over 20 years, Lifetime member of the United States Equestrian Federation and a Lifetime member of the Kansas Horse Council. Her riders have won numerous state and National Title including 3 separate riders winning the coveted UPHA National Challenge Finals Championship in Saddlebreds and Morgans.
