Zoom Room Dog Training

Love this place. New, super clean, great retail and wonderful people.
We’ve been attending agility training with our new puppy and it’s so fun and encouraging. RWBY our terrier mix is loving it.
Tonight, it was puppy playgroup. We’ve been to a few others and while they’ve been fine, this one was on another level – every two minutes we were asked to grab our puppies, treat, pet and let go to play some more. Really added some nice structure to what has been a free-​for-​all at other places. After «half time» we were asked, not only to collect our puppies every two minutes, but also invited to try more commands.
I’m sure there are a lot of top notch places in town, but Zoom Room is at the top of our list. Thanks guys!

We are so excited to have our loves in training here! Kathy was so kind to take the time to notice the anxiety, what we thought was aggression, of or little one and allow him to be a part of group training rather than private because he never makes a peep in the class, maybe he likes his time away for his sister? He is getting better weekly and we are learning right along with him. The agility training for our other is so much fun and I get a work out, too. Kathy takes the time to explain to me how the training works and why we do and say what we do in the course. We look forward to being a part of this training as long as we can and are so happy we didn’t have to move to a private trainer who charges so much we thought your little one was lost forever. Yuppie! Check it out and have some fun!

We have been taking our golden retriever Bodhi here since he was 9 weeks old (he is 8 months old now). He went through puppy preschool, puppy obedience 1, puppy obedience 2, and now he is in obedience 3. He will be taking the CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test soon through the Zoom Room. Our dog is incredibly well trained, we get compliments all the time, and it was all through the use of positive reinforcement at the Zoom Room.
We also take Bodhi to puppy agility and rally, which is the best part of his day. You can see him light up when we walk in and it tires him out which is great for us! It is nice in the summer too because sometimes it is too hot for Bodhi to run around outside, so it is great for him to get some exercise in at the Zoom Room where there is A/​C.
The trainers here are wonderful. They are professional and genuinely care about all of the dogs. This is a program that works and I have recommended it to friends who have adopted dogs from shelters and the difference between when they start and after a couple weeks is huge. As some other reviewers have also said, it is very clean, which is definitely important. Bottom line is, Bodhi loves the Zoom Room and so do we!

This place is super clean and easy to find. Good amount of space indoors. Very comfortable and places for people to sit and observe the classes going on (also wifi and tables and coffee if you want to bring your laptop). They provide water to your dog during the training. Would be nice if there was a little more parking but it is the city after all. If you can’f find a spot in the lot you can usually find one on the street. My dog came in for agility 1 and absolutely loved it. She was very in-​tune to me and listened great because she was excited to be there and loved what she was doing. The trainer was very nice, calm and collected, and helpful. She knew what she was talking about and was very patient. I feel like the agility class will even help with the CGC training I’m doing with my pup because it has built a stronger connection between us. I love that they have you make your dog sit on a table while they’re waiting their turn because it gives them something to do mentally. My dog acts up most when she’s bored and becomes impatient. This had her working the whole time (even if it was just putting her in a sit). We will definitely be back for more classes and probably some private gym sessions so we can practice the agility training.

This place is great! I’ve been taking my one year old dachshund here for the past 8 months or so. You purchase class packs and can use them whenever, so you don’t have to worry about missing a class. We’ve don’t their obedience and agility classes. My only complaint is that agility classes can be kind of crowded and you may end up waiting awhile for all the dogs to go through the course.

I have been going to agility with my dog for a few months. Margo, my little terrier mix,
seems to really enjoy the challenge and LOVES her treat rewards.
The instructors are patient, knowledgable and help each dog overcome any fears or inability with the various course obstacles. It has been a fun bonding experience Margo burns off energy on the course.

We haven’t been to many sessions yet but we have really enjoyed our interactions at Zoom Room. They spent a lot of time talking through my dog’s strengths and weaknesses with me in the evaluation. Then when we went to the first class, she was very attentive and hands on with us. We may not 100% agree with every thing she taught, but even my stubborn husband learned something.
Do note that they are 100% ONLY positive reinforcement. So when our dog was barking out of control, we had to sit and wait for her to stop to reward her. This is counter to what we have learned elsewhere, where we cue her to be quiet and make a sound to make her stop. Not making a value judgement on this, but it’s important to know.
We are very excited about their agility classes and our dog’s potential there.

Just finished up shy dog classes for my shelter dog and overall it was a good experience for him. The last class he was walking over a jump that he was too scared to approach a couple of classes earlier. The shy dog classes comprises of 6 consecutive
classes once a week. Each week you build up to different tricks and add in some agility exercises. They send you home with exercises to work on with shy pup. The classes are small intimate, only offered when they receive enough interest. Each of the dogs in our class had their own little shy trait that was different from the next but the trainer provided exercises specific to each. Overall, we are very happy within the results.

For a place that’s full of dogs & dog treats, this place doesn’t wreak at all!
They sell awesome dog treats/​toys that of high quality. The place is clean/​well-​kept and modern inside and is located in an equally modern/​new building.
I took my dog here for an event and my dog was able to learn how to walk thru a tunnel, jump over a hurdle, and walk up and down a ramp. She also learned to sit on pedestals. They give you treats to guide your dog and they’re quite professional and knowledgable. I felt very comfortable with my dog here.
They have bags and hand sanitizers for if your puppy has an accident. They have skateboards and hoola hoops & peanut butter kong snacks. This place is decked out in dog stuff!

This is quite a place. I recently was given a sneek peek in to the training program here. The instructor was very patient and attentive to my dog. We did a number of agility training exercises including jumping and running through a tube. I was impressed with how professional the staff here is.
Aside from the training there is also a wonderful store as well. They offer a selection of locally made and organic treats for your pet. The shelves are full of fun and colorful toys. There are some really creative ways for your pet to play.
A great sustainable message too.

My giant lab mix and I got to check out the zoom room during a Unilocal event. The facility was super clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgable. I didn’t get an opportunity to take a class there but they seem to have a lot of great options between obedience, agility, and puppy classes and more specialized classes such as «shy dog,» «tricks,» and «calm down.» (Can we get that class for kids, too?) For the super dog lovers amongst us they have private doggy birthday parties (it’s true). They also have a private gym that’s like an indoor, off leash, puppy playdate.
The prices are a bit expensive in my opinion, at least for the classes. The private gym is really reasonable, especially since you can split the cost with a couple of friends if you like. I need to try that sometime.
I appreciate the opportunity to check it out, Unilocal and Zoom Room! It’s a great facility and a great option for Denver dog lovers.

FOR PRIVATE GYM: Can’t say enough great things about this place! I booked private gym time for my little dog and his best doggie friend. We needed somewhere to let the dogs get some exercise during a stretch of days with wet, sub-​zero weather. Zoomroom was perfect! Reasonably priced, super clean (with all poop cleanup supplies neatly provided), ample room for our 10lb dogs to run run run at full speed, and plenty of toys already there to play with.
But I have to say the best part is the staff. Each employee was nice, polite, friendly, and relaxed. We felt very welcome at Zoomroom, even though we were newbies. Thank you so much!
We bought plenty of gourmet treats before leaving. They sell toys, treats, and the basics. All healthy, natural, or local it seems like. And as soon as I got home, I bought a package of prepaid private gym time blocks. We’ll definitely be visiting again. Thanks again Zoomroom!

Love love LOVE Zoom Room! Such a great option for city dog lovers. Great range of classes that are perfectly structured with achievable challenges and levels. My dog loves all the trainers and is improving by leaps and bounds. I would go everyday if I could!

This place is GREAT. First of all — they love dogs. It seems like a silly thing to say, but I have been to animal care facilities that seemed to be annoyed at their clients. Not at all with Zoom Room.
Their info says «we train people» and that is absolutely true. As an example: while going through a sample agility class with my adorable yet high strung shepherd mix, the secondary trainer noticed my pup getting a little excitable during the «stay/​table» posture while waiting his turn. My attempts to correct him were getting a little off, so she walked up and gave him a treat to catch his attention (step 1) then a second treat that she used to focus his attention on her (step 2) then gave that to him. He was immediately calm and willing to focus back on mommy instead of all the things going on around him.
I noticed this particular training method because I have used it before, but with less success — it’s called «doggie zen» by some trainers. The trainer didn’t tell me what she was doing — she *showed* me what to do. Modeling ideal handler/​trainer behavior is a GREAT way to show the human in training how to understand/​monitor/​moderate their dog’s expectations.
The prices here are great, the facility is clean, with easy parking. They require your dog to be leashed at all times. They offer party packages (good for a controlled environment for dog socializing) and rental times for the gym.
My not-​so-​little man (65 pounds of pure energy) had SO MUCH FUN and was so well behaved. We are going back, for sure.

We love the Zoom Room so far! It is a clean and well-​maintained training center with wonderful trainers and positive training techniques that don’t condone choke collars or alpha rolls or anything negative like that! Classes are kept small, so it’s a bit hard to get into some of the puppy classes, and I wish they offered more options in the evenings or during the week, especially for puppies, but I love the classes they do offer. Also, the prices are a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Quality is certainly appreciated! We love our pup, and she deserves the best — which is definitely the Zoom Room!

My 2 5 month old puppies attended their first Puppy Agility class and it was a BLAST! The facility is clean and the trainer was wonderful. Jack and Riley were quite the tuckered puppies that afternoon. I simply can’t wait for future classes.

My husband and I recently adopted a dog from a local shelter and he has very strong anxiety/​fear/​aggression when any other dogs or people are around. We were having a very hard time finding ways to work with him because he never displays this behavior to us, just to other people and situations and it was getting to the point where we were nervous to have guests over. Just in our first session with Kathy, we left with lots of great techniques to work on this issue with him but not too many where we felt lost in where to begin. She helped calm him and she helped calm us. We had gotten to a point where we wondered if we would be able to help him at all. Kathy gave us a great foundation to begin working with him and was able to get him to exhibit behaviors that showed us we will be able to work towards calming this behavior so our dog and we can all have a better relationship with each other.
We will definitely be back to the Zoom Room!

Zoom Room is awesome!
My four legged child has done both obedience classes and all four levels of agility. He did he CGC testing here and Kathy worked really hard in the classes with him on his jumping. Jess was so great at teaching agility too– my dog loved walking into Zoom Room knowing that he was going to have fun (and a lot of treats)
Zoom Room is super clean and their product selection is large.

I love the Zoom Room! I work with a dog rescue and our dogs come with a training class and I always recommend the Zoom Room.
The classes that are offered cover basic training but also a bunch of cool fun training. Literally any dog can learn something at the Zoom Room. Who doesn’t want to teach their dog to ride a skateboard, or how to do agility?! The dog are having fun but the people are too and that is the best part. They also offer one of my favorite classes ever, Shy Dog class. I have fostered some really shy/​terrified/​unsocialized dogs and this class was exactly what they needed. It is a safe environment that builds confidence for the dog and for its human too. I brought my foster dog Niji in for the class and days before hand I had to carry her into a pet store just to get her rabies vaccination. She would pee when someone raised their voice and would melt into the ground anytime she was in a new place or saw a new person. Only a few weeks into the class she was a huge ham going from person to person taking treats, JUMPING into my car to go to class. She became a different dog. After fostering her for about 6 months and worrying she may never find the perfect home, she was adopted just a few weeks after Shy dog class ended.
I also love that all their methods are based on positive reinforcement. It is always a welcoming happy environment. The inside is really cool and clean. A lot of dog places get… well…a bit doggy. The Zoom Room is modern, clean and really cool. The staff are friendly and they also have some really awesome products in their store section.
Parking is easy. there is a lot behind the building that even has some covered spots. I have come for classes in the middle of the day on Saturdays and never had any issues finding a good spot.
Pricing is a little higher than Petco or Petsmart but man is it worth every penny. I have saved $ 30 and done a Petco class where the class was in the middle of an isle with people shopping all around and other dogs butting into the middle of class. The training room at Zoom Room is HUGE. I would say maybe 20×40. All padded floors and enclosed so your dog can relax.
Long story short. BEST PLACE!

Kathlyn Ross worked with me and my 2.5-year-old goldendoodle to train and test for the AKC Canine Good Citizen and AKC Public Access exams. Kathlyn proved experienced and extremely capable. She’s unflappable in any training situation, and really helped instill confidence in me, my dog, and her training. Highly recommend!
