APPALLING service, inspiring view. I am absolutely flabbergasted by the intensely rude attitude of the completely absent waitress. After calling ahead, we brought a party of fourteen historically cheerful teachers to enjoy what we heard was the most magnificent view near Denver. The view did not disappoint, but the negative service reviews posted here should be heeded and multiplied. We arrived with our group of 14 for happy hour on the patio. At the time, there was another three top on the patio and four patrons inside on stools. Essentially, we had the place to ourselves. When our waitress finally made it to our table, she asked, «What can I get for you?» I smiled, opened my mouth to speak and, before my words could even form, she impatiently said, «I’m really in a hurry. We’re very busy.» Having NEVER been addressed by a waitress in that way, I was shocked, especially when I turned and looked at the lack of business. Determined not to allow her negative attitude to bring down our end-of-year teaching staff celebration, I smiled again and ordered. After three new members joined our group, fifteen minutes passed with no waitress in sight. Finally, the waitress appeared to deliver drinks to the three-top. We waved our arms, but no eye contact could be made. One of our group members stood up, good-naturedly and walked over to order for the three new arrivals. When our colleague returned, she had the look of one who had been slapped. «What happened?» we asked. She replied, «The waitress said, ‘I have to go inside.’ it was really weird.» eventually, we took to going inside to order. The waitress never returned. She never approached our table to explain, apologize, or invite us to order inside. Finally, after several members of our group went inside to order, I decided to talk to a manager. The manager listened and said, simply, «We’ve been really busy.» I turned around and took count. Aside from the 17 people in our group, and the the three-top outside, there were eight people sitting inside – all this in a bar that easily holds 50 people. It was empty. It was odd. Perhaps the employees here are from another planet, a planet on which there are no restaurants, no bars, and no customer service. Go to this bar for the view, but until they realize they are a bar, bring your flasks and brown bags. I look forward to hearing about a change to all of this.

The view is awesome. The [happy hour] beer prices are good. 16 oz Flat Tire for $ 3. Regular price for PBR is $ 2.25. If you buy 5, the 6th one is free. That is just $ 1.88 per beer! Sat on the excellent patio and enjoyed the clouds on a hot August [2011] day. Very good service from the bartender. Convivial. Did not eat any food.
