Description

Specialties

Wild Yarns is a yarn boutique that specializes in yarn and notions from artists, ranches, and mills in Colorado and the West. We offer knit and crochet classes as well as design classes to give you the tools to get creative in your projects. We share space with Thread, a handmade boutique which also focuses on products from Colorado and the West.

History

Established in 2011.

Wild Yarns started out in the Highlands Square neighborhood of Denver, and in 2013 moved to the Ball Park neighborhood (just 5 blocks away from Denver’s 16th Street Mall). We love the uniqueness of hand-dyed and handspun yarns and have carried these yarns created by local artists since the beginning. We’re also happy to offer notions from local artists such as stitch markers and buttons. Wild Yarns is also proud to be a charter member of the Yarn Along the Rockies yarn crawl.

Meet the Business Owner

Kelly D.

Business Owner

As a former art teacher and current knitwear designer, Kelly appreciates the inspiration and dedication it takes to create. Because of this, Wild Yarns supports local artists by offering their fiber-related products for sale. When given the opportunity to share space with Thread, a handmade boutique that works with many local artists, Kelly was excited to become further immersed in Denver’s creative community.
