Uptown Wax

This is one of the best waxing experiences I’ve had! I came here after another salon did a terrible job of waxing my eyebrows. The lady at Uptown Wax did a great job of fixing the other salon’s mistake. She is probably the fastest I’ve ever had, but was gentle, thorough, and friendly and my eyebrows looked great! Going back a second time and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed :)

BEST WAX EXPERIENCE EVER! Ive been getting waxed for a long time and after moving to Denver this was the first place I tried and I love it! Not only was the staff welcoming and warm, the esthetician and I joked and laughed the whole time! The place is cute and clean and had mimosa to boot, not even trying other places.

It’s was my second time at Uptown Wax and I can honestly say it’s the best waxing place in town! Excellent customer service, clean, knowledgeable, good pricing and fast service. What more could you ask for? You also get 50% your first wax too. Check them out and support a local Business.

Living in a state where the majority of the people you run into feed into the corporate America side of things, it’s always nice to support a local business. Daisy is doing one hell of a job doing just that! I went in for a wax and left with a connection that you simply can’t write. She’s a powerful woman with a plan and a huge heart. Keep on building your empire girl, you’ve got this! If you are looking for a waxing experience with heart and no script, I highly recommend Uptown Wax!

I ended up finding Uptown Wax when I googled my usual place to make an appointment online and they came up as well. I’m so glad I found them! My old place charges $ 60+ for a brazillian which is way too much for me to afford going as often as I’d like. Uptown Wax is so affordable and Shane (female) was great. They offer beer or wine before your appointment (yes please!) and your first wax is 50% off, which came to $ 27 for me. If you pre-​book your next appt it’s $ 10 off so I will finally be able to keep up with a good waxing schedule. So glad I found them!

This is definitely 5 stars. I’ve been here several times each time I was greeted and offered an adult beverage. I had my back done and the results are always great. The staff is always friendly, this is a cozy place and as a male I always feel very comfortable here. I highly recommend Uptown Wax.

I never had a full brazilian before. In fact, I’d never had anything more extreme than dipping my fingertips in the melted wax from the top of an extinguished candle. Nothing could have prepared me for this. They do give you a wine warmup. You are intended to drink it.
My wife got a living social deal, and I’d wanted my junk cleaned up for a long time (particularly the old brown eye). We went in and discovered that men’s brazilian waxing (manzilian?) is considerably more expensive than the feminine variety. They honored the voucher anyway, and we tipped accordingly. Keepin’ it classy.
The owner was the one to perform my wax while my wife watched. The procedure was «kind of painless» … more «shocking» than anything else. We exchanged humorous banter as she ripped out my entire pubic patch.
Fun, as they say, was had by all.

I’ve been coming here for about 4 months and I plan to keep coming here for a long time. In addition to the great services mentioned by other reviewers, such as the free wine, the wax used here really is less painful. It is also the only wax that I don’t have an allergic reaction to on my face. I really like the «free brow Fridays» (free brow w/​a Brazilian) and the $ 10 off brazilians when you re-​book.

Five stars for sure! They made a relatively awkward experience very normal, care free and comfortable. They are welcoming and have a very clean and put together studio. I would highly recommend Uptown Wax to anyone who asks!

Every appointment I have had here has been on-​time, quick, and efficient. I am always given extra care to make sure my waxing is done exactly the way I like without any leftover hairs. They also always provide a small tablet of Vitamin E for your waxing to prevent ingrowns and low moisture. I love this place, and have been coming for half a year now! Thank you!

I’m a notorious Groupon finder, and nothing gets me more excited than finding a Groupon for a $ 20 wax at a decent salon. That said, I came to uptown for the first time with a Groupon, and then returned a second and third time without. Definitely worth the full price, and they give you a discount if you book your next appointment then and there. Never again will I go anywhere else, or even peek at Groupon waxes. Uptown uses hard wax, making brazillian waxes a much more tolerable experience, they offer you a free glass of wine before your appt, relaxing you just enough, and everyone there does their best to make your experience as pleasant as possible.

I bought a Groupon for a Brazilian, but saw on the website that the first visit is 50% off, so I booked and will use the Groupon next time. This place is great. Very convenient location, lots of free parking, near some cool restaurants. Small and intimate, they offered me a glass of wine upon walking in. Steve (the «receptionist») is super entertaining, and he and Chatman (hope I’m spelling that correctly) and I had a great conversation while I drank my wine. When it was time to get down to business, Chatman was very professional, quick but did a great job. I will definitely be back to use the Groupon, and probably again (if you book your next appt same day, you get $ 10 off). Highly recommend.

Super friendly staff makes you feel comfortable and not a bit self conscious. Plus, the complimentary glass of wine or cup of coffee and loyalty punch card makes it a great place to return to again and again!

You know, as far as getting your hair ripped out, this place rocks! Greeted with an adult beverage, super friendly and knowledgeable staff and the prices are great. They have a really fantastic loyalty program too. They most certainly have a new customer in me!

Uptown Wax was pretty much as fantastic as anyone can make having your hair ripped out. Daisy was phenonmenal – easy to chat with and professional and I couldn’t be happier with the job she did on my wax. The receptionist was super cool and helpful, too. I’m also a big fan of when a salon offers me a drink upon arrival, which they did. Since it was my first time in, my wax was also half off! Though regular prices on services looked comparable to other places around town. I will definitely be back!

A lower star. Great location. Awesome they use hard wax and offer you a drink. Less pain and less irritating. Daisy is amazing. She’s so friendly and efficient with her waxes. It’s a local business not chain and I like that. I will most defiantly be back. I can walk there so that’s fantastic.

As a new Denver resident I am so glad that I found Uptown Wax. They have great and friendly customer service – offer a variety of complimentary beverages (I had a glass of wine!) as well as free product samples! The space was a clean and professional atmosphere. Great prices for services too! Daisy did an excellent job providing a very comfortable experience. I will continue going to Uptown Wax regularly!
