The Highline on Cherry Creek

The highline on cherry creek, what a scam!!! I lived there for five years, that’s a lot of money to spend on a apartment. When I moved out, no one made the time to do a final walk through of the apartment. Six months go I apply for a new apartment and get denied! I call onsite the company that checks your rental history. I was late paying rent once, one of the years that I lived there and they put evicted on my rental history. I call to talk to Jessica who seems to be helpful until she tells me that I had a balance with them I say ok, not ever once saying I wasn’t going to pay! (They never sent me a bill/​changed me for things that I shouldn’t have to pay for).i ask Jessica to write me a letter saying I wasn’t evicted so I can move, she agrees. I had set up a payment plan to pay the bill. But Jessica never told me I couldn’t just pay what I could afford so Jamie calls me asking when I am going to pay I tell her I paid for the month where my letter they lied to me over and over saying that had sent it and never did I can’t get apartment due to them putting evicted on my rental history I also spoke to Michelle who is rude not helpful and acts like she doesn’t know how to do Customer Service. I am going to have to go to Court now to try to get this taken care of and will be asking for the company to pay for court fees and putting me and my family pretty much without a place to live! So if I could give this apartment no stars believe me I would!!!

I filled out a rental application and paid $ 50 for the application fee and $ 300 for the deposit. After completeing the application I was told by Jessica Epstein that I needed to provide proof that I had paid back a previous landlord. I told her this was not a problem and she sent over an apartment hold form. This happened on a Friday. The next business day I emailed her to find out how quickly they needed the letter and she did not respond. I sent another email on Wednesday with still no response. By Wednesday I called the office and spoke to Jamie who informed me that they would need the letter any time before the move in date. On the following Saturday Jessica finally responded and said that if I did not produce the letter by Monday that that would cancel my agreement. It was not possible for me to get the letter by Monday, which I told her and I let her know that the previous person I spoke to said it could wait until my move in date. Jessica did not address this and the application ended up being cancelled and she refused to refund the $ 300 as it had to be cancelled within 24 hours. Which would not have been possible because she was not in the office and did not respond to my emails. Jessica was also not upfront with the time frame in which she needed the information. I asked her to have her manger call me and have not yet received a response.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! Beware! Went to rent their «immediate» move in apartment and they use some BS program to screen you. I make 43k and have a monthly phone bill. Nothing else and they wanted TWO times rent for deposit stating my debt to income ratio is low!!! WTF?

Transitioning to an apartment was going to be a mental challenge for me personally. However, I rave about living here! When I need maintenance they respond same day. When I want to cool off the nice, clean and quiet pool is right there. My dog Elli has plenty of areas to do her thing and especially the daily runs on the Highline Canal and Cherry Creek Trail. Michelle, Jessica and Jamie at the clubhouse office are always available, helpful and smiling. A stellar team they make and I am so grateful for the pup treats, espresso/​coffee/​tea bar and inspiration board. Thank you for making my house a home.

I waited a while to write my review to make sure I could give an honest, well rounded opinion. Please notice the poor reviews are old. I absolutely love it here. Jaimie is a delight. All of the people who work here are completely kind, respectful and helpful. The location is very close to everything I need. Having the paths so close is a huge advantage. I feel very safe here. The rent is what everyone else is charging in the area. The apartment is good, but the staff makes it great.

Michelle, Michelle, Michelle! The community manager at Highline on Cherry Creek is nothing short of a delight! I work at another property in the area and regularly call her for pricing and availability at her property. It is always a highlight of my week being able to talk to Michelle. She is always very helpful and entertaining. If I am not able to help someone I am sure to send them to Highline on Cherry Creek.

Wow… was I surprised to see some of these comments. My boyfriend and I just signed our lease to begin our third year of living at the Highline on Cherry Creek. We love living here! Here is what we love:
— The property is nice and well kept. If there are issues with people not picking up after their pets, the management team sends out emails and sends letters to people around those buildings affected.
— We always received plenty of notice about our rent increases. Our rent has only increased by $ 11 a month each year that we’ve lived here and we received $ 100 off in April for signing our renewal AND the apartment company will pay to have our carpets cleaned for FREE every year.
— The only neighbors that we ever hear is the people above us when they are stomping or making a lot of noise but once we spoke to management about it, the problem was solved and now we only hear them every once in a while.
— Our apartment is very well insulated and we often don’t have to use our heat because its already warm in the house.
— Haven’t had any big issues with maintenance because nothing has needed to be fixed.
— The management team is friendly and accommidating.
Give this place a try. Its one of the most reasonably priced apartments in the area and its a great place to live!

Avoid this place! First of all they advertise as «luxury apartments» but the fittings, appliances, and construction of the buildings are the cheapest possible. Even my «newly painted» apartment had only touchups rather than a full painting when I moved in, and leaks in the windows and doors were never repaired properly. I constantly suffered from appliance breakdowns and noise coming through the walls and ceilings.
However, even worse is the staff and policies: it’s all about them. One day, someone entered my apartment (with a key) and put both my dogs on the deck on a hundred degree day. Fortunately my partner came home early to find both dogs suffering from heatstroke and dehydration. The management never owned up to the unapproved entry and abuse of my dogs. I never felt secure there again and had to move out, but they wouldn’t budge on giving me relief on the remainder of my lease — and never returned my phone calls or got back to me if I went into the office to discuss the matter. Their office staff rotates so you can never establish a personal relationship: there is no gratefulness for your being a customer. My lease is over today — I’ll let you know if I get the deposit back, even though the apartment is completely clean.

I actually really enjoy living here, the staff has been great. However the one negative is that they increased my rent over $ 100 a month with barely any warning.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. The apartments themselves are ok. But the staff is a nightmare. They have no customer service about them what so ever. Once they have you on the lease your screwed. Rent here has changed, they fail to cash checks when given to them (which isn’t a crime just a curtsy failure), they are always late with the water bill, and as stated before the staff are jerks. PLEASE LIVE SOME WHERE ELSE. THE APARTMENTS AREN’T THAT NICE. o they do take credit card payments but only if you want to pay 25 dollars every time you swipe your card. I know a fee is normally associated with that service but 25 bucks? From the other two reviews it looks like I cant wait to move out fun fun

I lived here June 2009 — 2010. I enjoyed the interior of our apartment and the rent was reasonable — but in 2010, the rent was raised more than $ 100 a month without warning AND after being told that there would be no price increase at renewal.
What bothered me most about these apartments was the management, unfortunately. Our apartment overlooked the community pool and, although the pool ‘closes’ at 10 p.m., there were loud, yelling, splashing, drunk residents who would go to the pool at ALL hours of the night, most nights in the summer.
When we called to ask the management to address this issue, they told us that they couldn’t do anything to stop them or address the situation and that we could call the Arapahoe County police to file a noise complaint. Rather than the management either locking the pool in the evening or sending their own team to kick people out, they prefered that we call law enforcement to take time away from their busy shifts and important jobs to kick people out of the pool. It was infuriating.
We continued to call and email the management to keep letting them know how often this was happening in hopes that they would address the issue. We spoke with other neighbors and they also had complained to the management to no avail.
My roommate had decided to stay for the 2010 leasing year (I moved out), and experienced the same depsoit issue as Kristine R below. She cleaned, scrubed and hired a cleaning lady to do final touches before the final walk though and the management team STILL found reasons to not give her deposit back.
I’d suggest looking for a different apartment home if you’re looking in this area.

First of all, don’t expect to ever get your deposit back. They will keep all of it and then some, even if you repaint your place at your own expense. Second, the reason why I moved is that I had an upstairs neighbor who had 4 dogs that barked all the time. I complained several times and nothing was ever done by management. The residents who live there are mostly surly and believe themselves to be living in Cherry Creek, when actually it’s southeast Denver.
