History
Established in 2013.
The Guild Academy started three years ago in the Denver area and has since expanded to the Colorado Springs area as well. We’ve had tournament fighters, and have a deep passion for the art of sword fighting.
Aindreas, the Lead Preceptor (teacher), is working all the time to better his teaching methodology, himself as a sword fighter, and enjoys making sure all Scholars (students) are receiving high quality education, and having fun during their studies.
We started three years ago training individuals in the historic European martial arts with our sword fighting lessons. Before the official launch date (roughly eight years) those involved with the business were studying sword fighting from around the world, and didn’t click with any system until we found European sword fighting and fitness there in. We have and continue to run workshops and trained roughly 500 beginners at those starter workshops.

Aindreas D.
Business Owner
He has been instructing traditional European combat styles for five years. Interested in various martial arts across the world, he soon became involved in European combat specialties. In 2004, he began to enrich the knowledge of historic European sword combat by researching the ancient treatises and manuals (primarily Fiore dei Liberi, and Johannes Liechtenauer). Utilizing this research practically, he has led the academy now for three years, trained/sparred in the Texas Medieval Fight club, began the enrichment program for new instructors and reached out to the community through a host of Introduction lessons, and the New Sword Fighter curriculum.
