History

Established in 2015.

The story of The Greedy Hamster begins in a little bar in San Francisco, where a simple observation took place… Out of all the places we lived, from England, Miami, Phoenix, Southern California, and now the Bay Area, there was one commonality, we always ended up at the same place in every city… it was our local, the neighborhood joint, the bar down the street from work. It was a place after venturing out and experiencing what each city had to offer, we kept going back to. There isn’t any real tangible reason, of course the food was good and the drinks were cold, there was a sigh of familiarity and fraternity when we walked through the door. In each place, new friends were made, drinks were passed around and stories shared. Most importantly, each night ended with a fond farewell and a promise to see each other soon. After a hectic few years of constant moving, and finally settling in Denver, it was time to take advantage of this city’s vibrant cocktail and food culture.

Business Owner

Jim and Tay love dogs, and are proud parents to three rescue dogs: Zsa Zsa, Pocolio and Begbie. Jim is renowned for his ice cream making abilities, is a self-proclaimed rockabilly hero and sock connoisseur. He is veteran of Desert Shield/Storm and hails from Phoenix. Tay has an abnormal obsession with Real Housewives and has a weakness for a good show tune. She is an avid stained glass artist and skier, which considering she comes from Miami, makes tons of sense.
