My partner and I love this place. Staff is great and their 9pm to close happy hour has the best sushi deals in town. Their sushi is great and they have some tasty rolls. They have escolar, a personal favorite of mine. Again, I highly encourage you to swing by their late night happy hour for some great and affordable options.

I ordered take out for the Broncos game and didn’t realize they overcharged me by about $ 12. Won’t be back there again!

Fish is so-so and no real special flavor to the rolls. Staff is very eager to get you out the door. One of the staff dropped off the check before the last roll was delivered and kept checking on it to see if we were ready to leave while we were still finishing our drinks. Not very hospitable.

So I’m a bit of a sushi snob, and previously would only eat at Sushi Den here in Denver, but I was beyond pleasantly surprised to find that Sushi Bay’s quality has often surpassed my more recent experiences at Sushi Den!(crazy I know). The fish at Sushi Bay is fresh and flavorful, more often than not, it’s like butter aka amazing and delicious. Not only is the quality amazing, but the prices can’t be beat!(Especially happy hour from 3 – 6 and then again 8-close everyday). What would normally cost us over $ 100 at Sushi Den only sets us back about $ 35 during happy hour!!! How can you not love that? If you love sushi give Sushi Bay a try!

This is a much better place then Okinawa down the street. The wait staff is attentive, the sushi is fresh. They make very tasty rolls and food. This place is definitely family friendly and not stuck up. You can take a date here as well as a group. Just a great place to enjoy food.

Very good sushi. The Snow White appetizer is amazing. Perfect for lunch not very crowded. The service is very good also. The prices are reasonable.

Awesome sushi. Awesome lunch specials! Their miso soup is so spot on! Very friendly staff and very authentic. These guys not only know how to properly cook sushi rice but they get the proportions right as well! Hamachi Kama appetizer is so delicious! We usually go for lunch and get the specials that come with 2 or 3 rolls, soup and salad. Never disappointed. Really wonderful tea as well! We have only been for dinner once, but found it just as impressive! Really love the food here. Perhaps our only complaint would be the music at times. Would prefer traditional japanese music or classical etc over pop music. haha. But seriously, we love the food here and that is what keeps us coming back.

This sushi place is very close to me and looks like nothing special from the inside, but once you walk in you will change your mind. The interior is very nicely decorated with nice light features and art work. However, the tables are super close together! I’m pretty crazy about that only because I like to hear my own conversations. The service was excellent throughout the entire night and our waitress asked multiple times if we were enjoying the food… that’s a plus! Before entrees, my guests and I started with the chicken dumplings– they were average. For dinner, we decided to share a plate of the California rolls, the Las Vegas rolls, and the Philadelphia. Everything was pretty good!- would I say it was the best sushi I ever had?- no, but it was still fairly good! At the end of the night, we were satisfied! I probably will return in the future!

Pleasantly surprised. Not much to look at but the food was amazing. We went early 630 on a Saturday and didn’t have a wait. Parking was easy as well. The super white tuna was the best I’ve had. The rolls are creative and extremely tasty. I would have liked better wine choices but could deal with the beer offered. Service was good — not as good as the food. I’ll be back — especially on an all you can eat night. Definitely a hidden gem.

My wife and I have been coming here for a few years now every other week since they opened. The fish is very tasty and no matter when you go, the maki and nigiri are consistently made the same regardless of the chef. They don’t overload you with rice like most places and they don’t use wasabi in nigiri which my wife appreciates. For those that like maki, they offer a wide variety of special rolls. The service is most always great. I usually come Fri — Sun. If you sign up on their email list you will receive an occasional coupon for $ 10 or 10% off. Each time we go and try a new sushi place in the area it only cements the reason why we keep coming back to Sushi Bay on Tennyson. Quality, consistency, and a great happy hour.

This is my absolute favorite sushi joint in my neck of the woods(and one of my favorites in this landlocked state — I am a California transplant). The fish is always fresh, the service is reliable and the diversity of the menu allows me to drag my non-sushi loving boyfriend(the horror, I know) here without issue. As a testimony to the non-fish items, both my 35 year old boyfriend and 2 year old nephew are enthusiastic fans of their chicken gyoza. Said 2 year old nephew has a record of 8 gyoza in one sitting. He likey! In addition to the solid, consistent food, they are super accommodating about special orders(subbed raw items for cooked when my sister-in-law was pregnant) and they now offer delivery. Yay! My only complaint is that they don’t have a loyalty rewards program for people like myself who frequent the establishment on a regular basis. If they did, my visit frequency might increase from once or twice a week, to twice a week or more. Listen up, Sushi Bay Management!

First time here. Went on Sunday for AYCE but we were told the chefs were tired so they were not offering it anymore. They did allow us to order off of the happy hour menu. We enjoyed our sushi but next time hope to try the all you can eat.

If you get the all-you-can-eat deal, here are the specifics: anything you cannot eat, you will be charged $ 1 each for. They aren’t sneaky about telling you that and I honestly understand why they would do it, so I have no hard feelings about it. I ate 50 pieces of sushi and rolls before having to stop and pay $ 8 on top of the $ 30 for the all-you-can-eat deal. So, all in all, I was in pretty good shape. And since I am against wasting anything, particularly food, I think this is a good policy. By the way though, you have to order sushi or rolls with this deal – no sashimi. On top of that, you have to eat the rice and the fish. I liked the sushi. As soon as I got to the rolls, either the law of diminishing returns hit me or the rolls just weren’t that good. I will not specify at this time which it was, but I was unimpressed enough to probably not return. And this is not because the food was bad by any means, so I suggest you check it out, it just wasn’t spectacular in any way to me. If you go on sushi Sunday expect long wait times. Not incredibly long, they were actually good about seating us relatively fast, but ordering and receiving our food took some time. All in all, I suggest eating the sushi and steering clear of the rolls, but I’m kind of a purist when it comes to fish, so go for what pleases your pallet…

We just had take-out from here for the first time. Overall the rolls tasted good so that’s the most important thing. However, I was stunned at the small size of the special, aka pricier, rolls! When you spend $ 10-$ 15 each on a special roll you expect it to be a certain size. Ours were as small as the basic rolls. Just surprising and we were left a little hungry and felt somewhat ripped off.

We’ve been to Sushi Bay twice now and prefer it to the other sushi restaurant on Tennyson(Okinawa). You’ll find the typical assortment of rolls made from spicy tuna, salmon skin, cream cheese, soft-shell crab, avocado, etc. We have not been disappointed. Our first visit the jalapeño yellow-tail was a standout appetizer. When ordered the second time it was doused in a sickly sweet sauce. The sashimi dinner is served in a large platter illuminated from the bottom with twinkling lights. It’s like a rave under there! The quality of ingredients is good enough for what I’d describe as a «Chinese run Japanese Restaurant». Yes folks, that’s Mandarin being spoken by the wait staff and the guys behind the sushi counter. That is not to say that non-Japanese can’t serve up good sushi but don’t expect a super-authentic experience.

I really like the location, décor, and food here. The service was fantastic and the prices were not terrible for a sushi restaurant. Look forward to going back and trying new things!

The best thing on the menu is the stuffed jalapeño. It’s a fried jalapeño, stuffed with spicy tuna and cream cheese and drizzled with special sauce. It’s amazing. Make sure to get that. The crispy spicy tuna is also good. I also love the roll that has the peppered tuna on top and the spicy girl roll. They also have some good rolls that are«low carb» wrapped in soy paper and cucumber and those are also really good. The staff is always super friendly and they get your order and meal quick. Although I’ve never been, I heard the all you can eat sushi on Sunday’s is good. Happy hour prices are really good too.

Sushi Bay is our go-to sushi spot when we’re looking for an affordable fix. Quality vs. price is a good balance; they’re not a high-end or low-end joint, so you can come here weekly without a lot of wallet pain. We have lately been coming in for AYCE on Sunday nights. It’s $ 27.95 now, but worth every penny. While it’s nigiri /rolls only when it comes to sushi, they go surprisingly light on rice, so you don’t feel like you’re getting carbo-stuffed. The offering is extensive, and includes most of their rolls and nigiris, including things like surf clam, eel, sweet shrimp(ama ebi), etc. Also included is many of their apps, like seaweed salad, yellowtail collar, mussels, and more. THEAYCE really a fantastic value for the price, and nothing tastes like it’s past its prime. The sushi chefs have skill and know what they’re doing back there; the rice is consistently some of the better rice I’ve had; always balanced flavors, never under– or over-sticky. We’ve never been disappointed here. You should try it, too.

My husband and I love this place. They have excellent service, even when they are busy. We always request mayonnaise to be removed from the rolls, and they never mess up orders like this. The food is delicious. Our favorites are Seaweed Salad, Crazy Girl Roll, and Kobe Beef Roll. Would recommend Sushi Bay over Okinawa up the block, because Sushi Bay seems to have more meat in their rolls.
