History

Established in 2012.

Substructure was founded by Damon DuPont in an old community church building. After designing and constructing our amazing control room we opened to artists during the fall of 2012. Over our last few years of being open, we have been thankful enough to be able to work with some of the best artists in CO and are looking forward to continuing to produce great CO music! We are dedicated to making the CO music scene bump as hard as LA!

Meet the Business Owner

Damon D.

Business Owner

Damon spent his early childhood years tinkering with old tape decks and stereo tuners. His early recording and musical past developed early with his knack for being able to link tape decks to do multitrack recording at age 9! He soon bought a mixer and introduced himself to the real world of audio and spent his teenage and early adult years developing a supreme understanding of audio and the equipment used to create it. As well as being a top notch engineer, Damon produces many of our indie rock groups and performs in four different bands. Substructure Studios is the culmination of Damon’s tireless efforts to own and operate a recording studio. Substructure’s control room was hand built and designed by Damon and he is consistently improving on the studio and working on something new and interesting.
