They are lovely people, but the organization of this office is atrocious.
I casually suggested during a cleaning that I would be interested in Invisalign. The office was very nice and got me setup with a follow up appointment to talk about it. The Invisalign appt was done at the same time as a cavity fill (the only cavity that I have ever had. I was a little surprised). Some key things that I will mention:
— I was not given any real explanation about what Invisalign would do for me or the cost.
— I got to the desk before the Novocain from the cavity had even worn off and ended up signing a credit card slip while still a little woozy. It was only later that I found out the receipt was for over $ 2500. A little communication would have been nice. Or maybe wait until I wasn’t doped up.
— Communication is terrible — Multiple times I would be told one thing at an appointment and then three weeks later told something completely different. This resulted in me having to take multiple days off that I thought had been validated would not be necessary at the beginning of treatment. Stamm Dental made it impossible to transfer to a different dentist or orthodontist.
— Getting a call back is impossible — If I did need to talk to the office about anything regarding my treatment, it required three days of calling twice a day before I would actually be able to get an answer.
— Additional cost — Only one person seems to actually understand how Invisalign works in the office, but everyone would try to answer my questions. As a result, I had the wrong information almost every time I asked a question. This resulted in it costing more than I anticipated.
In the end I was not happy with how my teeth turned out, but I didn’t want to go to this office anymore, so I just called it done. If you want to try Invisalign, go to an orthodontist!

tl: dr: Get a second opinion if Stamm Dental tells you work is needed. Easy and honest as that — get a second opinion.

It’s been years since I was a patient at Stamm Dental, but I never forgot the place. Now, with enough dental history to be sure I wasn’t dealt with honestly, I’m writing this review. I highly recommend that, if/​when you feel uneasy about a quote from Stamm Dental, you seek out a second opinion. And don’t just rely on my review — read the many others who confirm that «over diagnosis» and tough upsell is a pretty common issue here.
On my first visit, Dr. Stamm told me I had FOURTEEN cavities. YIKES. I was terrified, as prior to that I’d only had one cavity in my life (I was 28 at the time). It should have been a huge red flag, but I had been out of work (in college) for the previous 2 years and hadn’t been to the dentist. I wondered, had things in my mouth really gone so wrong? Anyway, one of the women from the front desk came back into the exam room to explain what I needed, and said she had talked to my insurance company — it was covered.
I immediately made an appointment to have four filled. Dr. Stamm did that, and — credit where credit is due — it was pretty painless. That is, until I got up to the front desk. The woman there, who had previously told me that insurance WAS covering the fillings now said they weren’t. The problem? The woman who came back and quoted me while I was in the exam room had quoted me on silver fillings — not porcelain, which is what Dr Stamm did (and, of course, what I would have wanted — but I also would have wanted an honest quote… ie, your insurance will cover silver, but not porcelain — silver is covered, porcelain is much more expensive. It will cost you $XXX.xx — I would have spaced out the procedures if I had known it would be so expensive). So, if you decide to have work done here, know exactly what you want and GET YOUR QUOTE IN WRITING. Find out what they’re planning to do, and compare it to what you want done. Then, definitely DON’T TRUST Stamm Dental to call your insurance company and verify coverage — you MUST do it yourself. I expressed my concern over the bait-​and-​switch to the front desk, but they weren’t concerned. They were flat out rude. Oh well, enough with this place. I paid, I left, I never went back.
In the seven years since, I’ve had two different dentists and ONE cavity, and one old filling that had to be replaced. So, those other 10 cavities Stamm Dental wanted to fill? I guess they went away on their own… magic.
I would really recommend staying away from this place. Based on my experience, it feels like I was scammed.

Excellent care. Every time I’m there, the treatment is thorough and personalized. Very knowledgable staff who are continually going to training to grow professionally. I would recommend to anyone.

Let me first start by saying that I am a normal person, I hate going to the dentist. I have had some oral issues in the past and I’d really rather do almost anything other than get my teeth cleaned — much less have work done.
With that said, my experience at Stamm Dental with Dr. Green and my hygienist has been a seamless one. I have had a cleaning and work done and they have made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. The compassion that they show is not often seen in the medical profession. I really appreciated all that they have done for me.

Stamm Dental… truly, I should pay rent there because I am there so often. The thing is, I don’t mind. I love their office, I love their staff, and I am always given the best quality of service… ever. I feel so welcome and at ease every time I am there. I have been «screwed over» by many a dentist in Denver and when I was finally referred to Stamm Dental, I discovered honest and incredible work and advice. All they want is to make your mouth healthy — nothing more, nothing less. No one is trying to drain you of your money.
From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave (even when paying for your service can sting sometimes if your mouth was as screwed up as mine), you feel happy and healthy. Truly, you can even make a few friends in the process.
I can’t recommend Stamm Dental any higher than I already do — go here. You will find your new dentist home. I love them!

I hate the dentist. And as luck would have it I have inherited soft teeth from my father so I’m there much more than I’d like. I’ve been seeing Dr. Stamm for 4 years now and she has always been pleasant, has listened to me, and not made me feel crazy for needing nitrous to soothe my anxiety every single time I see her. Most recently I went in because of some pain in an upper molar. They saw me right away, did an xray, and informed me that I need a root canal. Dr. Stamm made sure I wasn’t in pain in the meantime and I scheduled the root canal with her associate Dr. Greene. I ended up having to reschedule the root canal due to a sick child and requested a refill on the pain medication they gave me. I had to go in and see Dr. Greene who checked and made sure I didn’t have an infection or abscessed tooth. He was very kind and got me in right away. All the doctors there are great. There’s some other rotating staff that leaves a little to be desired but I have never been anywhere where this wasn’t the case. I’ll go here until Dr. Stamm retires or until I have no teeth left to fix.

Great place, great work. In the past month, I’ve had a cleaning, filled two cavities, and a whitening. The experience is always fast, painless, and straightforward. I feel like the hygienists and dentists really care about me – they are nice and did great work each time. I will continue to recommend this location to all of my Denver-​based friends.

Incredible customer service here makes the dental experience something I look forward to instead of dread. Definitely use Stamm Dental for dentistry and Invisalign services– and tell them I sent you there way as they have a fun referral program too. :)

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years. I had a bad experience with my last dentist and they have totally redeemed going to the dentist. They give me great care and have good expertise and technology to help you with oral hygiene. Julie, my hygienist is awesome and takes such good care of my teeth! They are warm and welcoming! I would highly recommend coming here!

I visited Stamm Dental during Fall of 2014 and my new patient exam was informative, friendly, welcoming, and thorough. I’ve seen a dentist every year for the last 19 or so years and received the same feedback from the dental hygienist at Stamm dental and from the Dr. as I had at my previous dentist. His analysis seemed consistent with my understanding of my dental health and I enjoyed their focus on my long term dental health.
My only critique is there seemed to be some confusion as to what room my exam should take place in and as a result other hygienists were constantly in and out of the room grabbing tools or files. Overall good experience and I will continue to see them.

You know, I did really like my dentist as a person. He is educated and relatable. I loved being able to watch TV during procedures, but I’m just not sure. I know they really work to protect your teeth long-​term but I had been going to a dentist routinely for 4 years and transferred to be with someone closer to home. After my initial visit, I was quoted with thousands of dollars worth of work they wanted to do. Where as my last dentist said everything was good. Every dentist has told me that they were amazed how I had enough room for my wisdom teeth, this one told me I needed to get them pulled. I’ve never been told that in my life. All that wasn’t the biggest deal, I don’t have great teeth and I think they are educated dentists. When I initially called to set things up, I asked the obvious question, do you take my insurance. They said yes, we take all insurance. I just found out after getting billed hundreds more after the quote that well, yes, they take my insurance but they aren’t in my insurance network. Who knows to ask that question? This is the second run in I had with them in regards to finances and we are not in a place where we have thousands to spend on preventative work. After talking with them about the situation we were in, they weren’t really phased, said I still needed to get in ASAP to finish re-​doing the cavities. Also, though the were thorough, I did spend almost three of my precious free hours on a Saturday getting two cavities done. Both appointments were very slow. I hate the dentist, no matter how great they are. Both appointments were ridiculously long.

Geeze. Where do I begin?
Stamm Dental has been my regular dentist out in Colorado for the past few years. I always got a weird feeling when I went in there, but pushed it aside because finding a new dentist can be a pain. Besides, I’ve never had complicated dental issues and how could anyone mess up a routine cleaning?! I wish I had listened to my gut.
I agree with everyone here — they are a sales office that does dentistry on the side. I feel like I had unnecessary procedures done (I’ve never been told I had this many cavities in my life) and was «upsold» on extras (hand wax?) all just to make them money.
Of the fillings they have done for me (and there are many), one in particular has caused me trouble ever since, and now I fear I’ll have to have some over-​the-​top procedure in order to fix their poor work. The first time they redid it (on their dime) they conveniently found another cavity to fill «while [they’re] already in there.» It felt sketchy, but I just wanted to get the work done and get out of there.
Now, again my tooth is aching and my gums bleed every single time I floss. To address what I assume they will comment on this post — yes, my current filling was done by dentists in VA when their work chipped a day before Christmas. (So, they did the original filling, redid it the first time, it chipped at home so my home dentist redid it, and now here I am in pain again). My dentist at home told me the work was horrific, sloppy, and that they shaved out too much of my tooth. They told me they would do their best but that the tooth wasn’t quite fit for a filling and that I’d likely have to have a crown put on at some point.
Against better judgement, I called Stamm about getting it redone again. I’m in pain, it’s their work, whatever over-​the-​top measures we need to do to fix it should be at their cost. Well, the receptionist told me she had to wait to speak to the office manager before booking me. Her exact words were she needed to speak to him/​her first to see how all of this was «going to play out.» What? You all did poor work. Fix it and stop shuffling me around. Cherry on top: I still haven’t been called back. I guess I was costing them too much money?
I am finally going to listen to my gut. Going to Mollner Dentistry today.

Horrid experience with Stamm Dental. Avoid at all cost.
Be prepared to be aggressively pushed into services/​products you don’t need. In my case, it was getting the Invisalign (which i could use, but far from needing), as well as special fluoride toothpaste, whitening options, etc etc etc. Be prepared to repeat «no thank you» over and over and over again.
It gets better.
I made an appointment in march of 2015 for a dental cleaning and a PROBLEM-​ORIENTED exam (i knew i had a cavity). First thing upon my arrival, they proceeded with a FULL-​MOUTH-​XRAY (unnecessary for the type of appt requested). Note that the additional costs associated with this procedure were not mentioned, nor did they discuss a different type of x-​ray option with me (this becomes important later). As the dentist looked at the x-​rays, he found something along the lines of 12 or 13 cavities. I wish i had the exact number, I threw away their quote. I was pretty baffled by this fact, i haven’t been to the dentist in a couple of years, but I was surprised my mouth would deteriorate that fast. I got a second opinion and while my new dentist found some issues, only about ¹⁄₃ of the work needs to be done as Stamm suggested.
It gets even better.
My insurance refused to cover the full mouth X-​ray, as it turns out I am not eligible for this type of xray coverage until May of 2015. I was not aware of this, and clearly Stamm didn’t look into this prior to performing this super-​expensive procedure. They came after me for payment, which i absolutely refused for reasons described above. The girl I spoke with, Melissa, was nice, and after speaking with her office manager they agreed to wave the x-​ray cost. They did insist that I still owed 50 dollars for the exam and the cleaning (which my insurance covers 100 percent). I called my insurance immediately and was told they DID cover Stamm’s bill 100 percent. The insurance rep called Stamm directly; not sure what conversation they had, but she was able to resolve this for me.
Triple check everything they tell you. Better yet, save yourself the money, time, the phone calls and bill disputing, and go elsewhere.

If there was a possible lower rating I would give it. Just had to have the tooth that was «fixed» here pulled and will now have to have an implant… my $ 10,000 phantom tooth. This has been a three year ordeal, and we’re not talking a haircut. This is something that I have to live with every moment.

I’m not normally the one to write a bad review, but my experience is one that seems to frequent Stamm Dental.
I came to Stamm Dental in July 2014. The last time I went to a dentist was June 2013, but before that, I had been visiting a dentist every 6 months.
Stamm Dental told me that I had 13 cavities. THIRTEEN. I am 22, and have only had 1 small cavity my entire life. They sat me down, told me how much these 13 cavities would cost me, and then told me that if I scheduled an appointment for ¼ of my cavities to be filled the next day, they would give me 10% off. ($ 150 off $ 1,500! Score!)
HUGE red flag.
I went and got a second opinion from a different dentist — he informed me that while I had a few soft spots that we would need to keep an eye on, it was nothing I would need to get filled.
I suggest if you go to this dentist for the first time and they say you need a plethora of cavities filled — go get a second opinion.

I despise having to write a negative review, but this business deserves every bit of negative publicity that they receive. They really should be renamed Scamm Dental. I found a Groupon for a cleaning here. While the office ambiance and the service seemed outstanding initially, things began to change upon check out. First of all, you can’t schedule any follow up appointments without giving them a credit card number. Next, while one office staff member is telling you about the services you will receive during your next appointment, there is another office person telling you that the Dr. has a special «deal» they can offer, if you pay for all of your services upfront before leaving the office. It felt very reminiscent of purchasing a used vehicle. Tacky.
I ended up canceling my follow up appointment, and called 43 hours ahead to cancel, instead of the 48 hour cancellation policy requirement. (Fine. I missed it by 5 hours). Their policy states that there is a $ 50 cancellation fee.
The person whom I was speaking to, (named Courtney) said that there was a $ 50 fee per hour that was scheduled for my appointment. (WHAT???) My appointment was scheduled for three hours. That minor detail is not mentioned ANYWHERE in their cancellation policy. Needless to say, they lost yet another customer, and I certainly will not be paying them $ 150.00 either.

I really hate to have to write such a bad review because the people working here were lovely, but I feel like I got scammed. I purchased a groupon for teeth cleaning, X-​rays, and whitening and set up an appointment to come in.
I showed up and everything was going great. I felt super at home and got my X-​rays done with no problem. It started to go downhill when the finance woman came in to have me sign forms while the hygienist was about to begin cleaning my teeth and my mouth was numb. This weirded me out not only because I couldn’t read the forms but also because it seemed as though she chose that moment particularly because I was likely to sign whatever she put in front of me. interruptions like that lead to me being at the office for over three hours for a cleaning.
I didn’t get whitening in the office, but a take home kit of whitening strips, and my groupon ended up being basically useless as I had to pay way more money by the time I left the office. All in all, I feel no bueno after my visit to Stamm Dental.

SCAM dental.
No matter what health your teeth are they WILL find a way to do some work on you.

So, I just had my first appt. at Stamm Dental. I found them through ZocDoc which was cool, but apparently the appts. don’t actually line up like they should so they called me and cancelled my initial appt. because it had given me a slot that was already booked. A couple days later a random looking package arrived for me in the mail– it had all of my new patient paperwork, directions from my house to their office, a pen and a note saying they were looking forward to meeting me, which was nice.
When I finally went in, the office was really nice, clean, comfortable and contemporary– there’s a nice waiting area, drinks and a cute kids corner. The gal who greeted me, Courtney, was adorable and super nice– she introduced herself with a handshake and thanked me for filling out my paperwork. I arrived about 5 min late and they were super nice about it and told me not to worry. The Dental Hygienist, Julie, came to get me, again she introduced herself with a handshake, and she showed me around their office, explained a little about the dentists’ backgrounds and then took a few to get to know me and go over my paperwork. In the exam room she handed me a gift bag with a note from the practice thanking me for being there and choosing them, toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste, chapstick and whitening strips.
Julie was very professional and super friendly. She did an exam, took a bunch of pictures, took 18 x-​rays and then went through what the findings from both were– never once was I chastised for taking so long to go to the dentist, not being as good of a flosser as I should be or made to feel uncomfortable– she explained everything very clearly and made it easy to understand. She did my cleaning and got me all set up for the Dr. Stamm. Dr. Stamm also introduced herself with a handshake, was very professional and friendly as well and did a quick exam and then went over options with me. Shortly after I was whisked away to the finance department to get Invisalign set up, which was a bit surprising in how quickly they were looking at doing it (a little overwhelming to be honest). The finance gal was very friendly too.
Everything had a very personal touch– the package sent to my house, the greetings, the gift bag, the service, the friendly staff… it was a great first experience! As long as I have future experiences like this, I will be a customer for a very long time! :-)

There’s two sides to stamm dental. The work and the sales.
The work for me was great. Cleaning went well, and had a few cavities filled and it was one of best I’ve had.
The sales/​billing are like dealing with used car salesmen. They will always quote the lowest estimate, even when they know they’re not in network of your plan.
