Specialties
Signal Behavioral Health Network is Colorado’s largest substance abuse Managed Services Organization (MSO), contracting with 35 counties and 19 substance abuse treatment providers in the state. Signal is a provider-owned, non-profit corporation dedicated to managing a network of providers of substance abuse treatment services that is accessible to, affordable, and efficacious for consumers of these services. Through effective management and coordination of services, Signal aims to increase efficiencies across substance abuse service systems, to strengthen linkages between human services systems and providers, and to more closely tailor services to the needs and strengths of consumers.
History
Established in 1997.
The concept of Signal Behavioral Health Network was created by the three original founding members: Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS), Arapahoe House, and Crossroads’ Turning Points, Inc. By the time Signal was awarded the substance abuse contracts for SSPAs 1, 2 and 4 (in 1997), the Board consisted of the three founding members as well as Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network (ADMHN) and Denver Health. Several years later, the decision was made to add a sixth member, North Range Behavioral Health. Signal is a 501©(3) charitable organization.
