Love this crew! I moved to Colorado recently from San Francisco area and a longtime commitment with my beloved hair stylist for 7 years… I had no idea where to turn and found Kenneth through Unilocal. He and Karlyn work together and made me feel good about my experience and not to mention my hair! He did a great job helping me acclimate to the new climate and my hair reaction with both color and cut… I am writing this after my 3rd visit, I am committed and found my new home. Check them out!

Kenneth is the best! I have been to many salons at every price point. I had given up hope that I would find someone who would make me feel like a rock star. My hair is long and naturally curly. He gave it a great shape that actually gets better as it grows out! I love his vision of natural hair. Which is exactly what I curly headed girl needs. Also he cuts my hair in a way that I can wear it straight or curly, unlike the Deva cut at other salons. The only downside, it’s gonna hit your wallet pretty hard. $ 115 for a cut and color is $ 150. I get a cut about every 3 – 4 months and I have only had him color my hair once. If you can afford him GO! Also you get 50% your first visit.

If you go, ask for Kenneth. He’s 10 years into the industry and it shows. A delicate scalp massage, aromatic hair products, and a forward-thinking haircut make for quite the experience here. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but there’s a definite reason you’re paying $ 115 for a haircut. This is my new salon.

Disclaimer: I’m friends with the owner, Kenneth. But I did switch salons(last chica was also my friend and fabulous, but Kenneth is kind of a hair GOD) to go here, so that’s not the only reason I go. It’s in a really cool, old building. He said it is(was) the newest salon in Denver and in the oldest building, so that’s fun, and also the most green with lots of hand-made furniture. Really great décor, great style, and I think that matters a lot for a place that’s about to redo your mane. Hair is a big deal to me. Like most unreal blondies, I’ve been to tons of places around town. Kenneth treats hair like a living magical creature that must be nurtured and deeply loved for it to shine. He’s a baliage expert and teacher, a technique that makes it look way more natural than regular highlights, although it looks like it grows out faster. But, overall, I take longer between appointments because it always looks great and it’s a lot healthier. With longer, layered hair that’s kinda wavy and kinda curly, I like a versatile cut. It’s brush-wavy-able, straighten-able and great for lazy days when I just let it do its thing. I’ve definitely found my hair spot.

I couldn’t be more thrilled by my recent haircut and color from Jessie at City of Seek. The salon is amazing, walking in I literally felt like I was walking into this peaceful, artsy space. .. definitely not your cookie-cutter salon! The scalp massage was amazing, I was in heaven. And, probably the most amazing were the highlights. I went with blond and red and they turned out amazing, and the roots aren’t all even, so as it’s growing out, it still looks great. I will be back for sure!
