Rocky’s Autos Inc.

So I went to Rockys looking for a new car, I had a very pushy sales person. I told them my budget and what I could afford and they were trying to sell me something I couldnt afford, they wanted me to put all my cash down and then make payments. I told the guy what I needed and that I didnt have money that day to buy the car. He told me that if I liked a car that I needed to put a 500 $ deposit down to hold the car as the next time I would come the car wouldnt be there.
The guy was really desperate to sell me a car and I told him that I would have to do some research and get back to him, he kept bringing the manager over and they tried convincing me that I need to buy a car and everything.
I finally said I needed to go and I ran to my car and got in and left, I will not be back, they are extremely pushy won’t work in your price range and are rude and it’s like they have to make the sale that day or else.
Do not trust rockys!

I did not appreciate this business running a «credit check» on me when it was paid for in cash, from my company’s funds and with a tax ID number to prove legality. The vehicle was used, very clean and in great shape for having 60,000 miles on it. It passed my mechanic’s check over.

What a circus! My mom is looking to buy an AWD vehicle, and we stopped in there out of curiosity. The place was packed. Crazy packed.
We went inside, found a manager guy, told him we were actively looking to purchase, and not just kicking tires. He said he would try to find us an associate to show us around, then disappeared. No associate later, we walked the lot, and left.
My impression is that they cater to buyers with credit scores in the low 400’s, and the more you look like a meth addict, the more you’ll fit in there.

Total high pressure. I was just going to drive in and walk around but just as you turn into the lot you become surrounded literally buy salesmen. They swarmed my car. I did not want to talk to anyone, but just walk around and browse. They wouldn’t let me do it. So… I had to park the car and listen to some idiot guy pretend to be my buddy. Then when we were looking at a truck, he tells me they put new tires on it but I could clearly see a screw sticking out of the tire. Not good. Just no time to think there on your own. If they let me just wander around I probably would have bought a truck today.

While I’m sorry to hear the stories of those below, I had a great experience. I suppose it just depends on who you get and the day, but here was my experience.
I was skeptical of Rocky’s at first. They make you park when you arrive and walk you around with a salesman. I don’t like this, but the salesman was very polite and not pushy. We test drove numerous cars and finally fell into a great deal on a Jeep. We’ve been very happy, had great service and enjoyed the experience. Not a bad way to go if you need a good car at a discounted price.

At first, Rocky’s seemed like they had some great deals. They have some good cars on the lot with what seemed like reasonable prices. However, that’s where the appeal stopped for me. I found a car I liked, I got a test drive, and the salesman I worked with was somewhat professional. However, I had forgotten my driver’s license so I couldn’t talk numbers that day. (My friend gave his drivers license for the test drive, and the salesman let us pull over and switch drivers.)
When I went back to talk numbers, I got a different salesman. I entered the building and was surprised by the dozens of plastic picnic tables in a huge central room — where the «dealing» was done — no fancy desks or separate cubicles here! I stated my maximum offer, and they did the typical bargaining. They must not have been expecting a woman who has a head on her shoulders, because they kept giving me the same pricing, just moving some of the numbers around. I got frustrated with their games, gave them a bottom line and told them not to call me until they got it worked out.
Two hours later I received another phone call saying they had the numbers I wanted, and asked me to come back in. So I went, reluctantly, and heard them out. While our bargaining went on, my salesman decided it was time to chew tobacco and grabbed a Styrofoam cup for spitting. I was repulsed. The manager came out, unfazed by the salesman’s chewing, and continued to try to confuse me. The car I was looking at had been in a wreck, but the dealer refused to acknowledge the fact. (I took the car to MY mechanic to have it checked out, where he discovered this.) He refused to budge on the price, then decided to lower the price but jacked my interest rate up. I was not impressed, and at a late hour in the night I told them I was done trying to bargain and said I was leaving. At this point the manager got up, started yelling at me to buy the car, and blocking my way to the exit.
I was VERY disappointed not only by their lack of professionalism while dealing with me, but also the immaturity held by the so-​called managers. I would not recommend going to Rocky’s Auto at all. And remember if it seems to good to be true, IT IS!!!
