Nope. I wasn’t impressed at all. I ordered a smothered chicken burrito and it was full of bone fragments. Every bite I took I was pulling little bone pieces out of my mouth. My girlfriend ordered some grilled chicken. They didn’t even grill it fresh, and it was cold. I also ordered a 12.5 ounce bottle of Jarritos and they charged me $ 2.25 for it. That’s ridiculous. The rice was flavorless as well. To top off our poor experience, the dining room was a disaster. Food and garbage all over the floor and dirty tables. I will never come back here again.

This place is average at best. There is no consistency in the food. You will see fresh chicken being grilled and when you order you’ll get food that have been over grilled and dry from a drawer next to the cook. That will be chopped into 13 PCs(be careful with children there is lots of shards and broken bones) along with greasy green onions and pretty good rice and beans. And a variety of hot sauces. You will get half a pack of off the shelf corn tortillas. For about $ 20.

Worst customer service ever!!! I used to love that place but the girls that work there are a piece of shit! I called and placed my order by phone I repeated my order and I told her I’d be picking my order up later on that day I told her the time and I told her 3 times and when I got my order it was cold and the girls got an attitude with me when I told them from the beginning what my order was going to be and at what time Id pick it up. I don’t recommend this place at all!!!

Fast and friendly service and staff. This was my second visit… I ordered wings and a half chicken. Didn’t realize till I got home that I didn’t get my hot wings, instead received rolled tacos. With no hassle, they told me to return and gave me my wings and told me to keep the rolled tacos. They were apologetic for the mix up. My only complaint is that the dining room needed more attention. The floor was very sticky from what appeared to be a large trail of spilled soda. I will definitely return as well as recommend to others. Might I add that I appreciate the way they are constantly cleaning the kitchen floor.

Don’t waste your time on this place. About the only positive I can say about it is the service is fast and the green chili LOOKS good… I wouldn’t know how it tastes because the spice burn overwhelms any flavor. The portions were large, I will give them that but maybe they do that to try and offload the canned chicken they use in their burritos. The refried beans actually left a powdery/pasty residue in my mouth. Service\speed: ***** Atmosphere: *** Food quality: * Food value: *

Saturday, October 5th2013. Time was about 15:35hrs ish. Sorry Rico Pollo, N Chambers Road location… ain’t you have my love. Err in this case NOTTOMYLIKING. ***PERIOD.*** *Sad Face Indeed* * ¼ Chicken($ 7.99) * Hot Wings 6 Pieces($ 4.59) * Chicken Quesadilla($ 6.49) * Burrito Smothered Polo($ 6.49) Overpriced, Small Portions, NOT so good quality food. So pissed at myself spending almost $ 30 for food that do not fill me up. aka Unsatisfying. Late. Lunch. Meal. Ever… aka LEFT Hungry… Yes, you order at the counter. Get yourself seated. Then they will call your order, and you pick it up. Nothing fancy, nothing stellar, nothing to talk about… Though I cannot deny, Hubs bet to differ… He said he smothered burrito was A-Okay. @216/2013

Came here since I live close by and the Unilocal reviews were good. I figured it was worth a shot, but it was the nastiest burrito I have ever eaten. The rice has mixed veggies in it and had a weird taste and the chicken was hard and not full of much flavor. I asked for sour cream and they put it on the outside and even asked if I wanted the rice and beans INSIDE my burrito. Doesn’t a burrito equal all the filling inside of the tortilla? and why is every burrito smothered in green chili in Colorado? My quest for a San Francisco style burrito continues…

This is a perennial stop when I am in that neck of the woods, wither Green Valley Ranch, or Montbello doing real estate work. The food is fresh, care is taken to make you feel welcome, and everything is made fresh to order. Servings are generous, and tasty always. I once tried to eat a combo of flautas and a smothered burrito, and though I have been known to gorge at times, I thought food would ooze from my pores. It was a delightful kind of pain, and after a food induced coma I proceeded to work of the largess of my meal. I have never been here that I haven’t been greeted with a smile, and polite conversation, and a thank yo for coming. Granted, this is not fine dining. It is comfort food, the kind a Gut Fieri would be proud to show off. I can understand why they have grown to so many locations. I have eaten at many of them, although this is the favorite, because I have grown to know the owners. The price of the food is a great value. When you combine this with the generous portions, and rich, explosive taste and mouth fell of the food, you get nothing less than satisfaction. It is great comfort food. I have eaten nearly everything on the menu at least a dozen times. Food quality and service is consistent in all locations, quick, efficient service along a buffet style line, self serve on the condiments and drinks. Rico — Rich Pollo — Chicken, The first word describes the flavor and the way you feel eating here, and the second is the perspicacity of the house. Come here one and you will be a repeat diner…

Great chicken, good salsa beans and rice. The Piccadillo of corn(small side lightly pickled salad) was good too. Very nice people. This is a find. Real food like from home in an area with a lot of chains.

Chicken. That’s all they do, and they do it well. The will serve it to you several ways but they have stuck with what works. $ 20 for a whole chicken, rice, beans, tortillas, grilled jalapenos, onions, corn, the works. It’s a good place with a solid product that’s worth trying out. Everyone likes chicken and this is a good spot for it. A nice break from the usual fried meal. You can literally watch them grill the chicken you order. The decorated interior leave something to desire, but once you have the food, its head to toe legit.

Rico Pollo is very delicious and I would recommend eating there for those who love authentic Mexican food. The burrito is my favorite, smothered with cheese and green chile with pork. It is spicy for those who enjoy eating spicy foods. There regular chicken is also really good and comes with rice, beans, tortillas, onions, pico, and chile sauce.

The chicken is definitely different, this is no KFC or popeyes. It come out super moist and succulent. The grilled onions are tasty as well. the burrito is also quite tasty with plenty of chicken. The chili tends to be quite hot. Wash it all down with a cold horchata!

Rico Pollo mean«Rich Chicken» in Spanish. And rich in taste it is. Also try out the horchatta. There are a few of these around the Denver area.
