Rickenbaugh Collision Repair Center

Moved to Denver a couple of months ago so didn’t really know where to go after being involved in an auto accident. A co-​worker recommended Rickenbaugh so I decided to give them a shot. What a good decision that was. These guys are not only super professional, but seemed to actually care about me and wanted to make the experience easy, expedient and pleasant. Yes I said «pleasant», which I know doesn’t typically describe anything to do with auto repair or insurance. However the fine folks at Rickenbaugh were tremendous in terms of contacting me proactively to provide me with updates on my vehicle and ultimately got me back in my car a few days ahead of schedule. The place itself is very family oriented and comfortable, unlike typical places that are loud and smell like motor oil. Thanks guys!

I was in town on business and borrowed a local coworkers SRX and got in a fender bender on the freeway that required body repair. I chose Rickenbaugh based on their Unilocal reviews and I am thrilled with the service I received!
Having never been in an accident before or used a repair center, I wasn’t sure what to expect and very cynical. Rickenbaugh gave me a completely fair estimate on the damage, I know this because I got a second opinion with another highly rated Unilocal collision repair center who were 30% more then Rickenbaugh.
Their customer service far exceeded my expectations, as I had to coordinate this from out of town. Once I was scheduled, the repair took exactly as long as they said it would. My co worker was very pleased with the work performed on her car and said that she defiently will go back there and recommend this place! They are a little to far from me (California) to use, but my experience will set the standard of what i will look for in an body shop.

I trusted that my vehicle would be well taken care of because of this business’s reputation. After waiting very patiently for many weeks I finally got my vehicle back. There were weeks of excuses, reasons that I was given as to why it was taking so long for my repairs to be completed. When I got into my vehicle there were obvious safety equipment concerns. Things were not put back into place & I never understood how it got by final inspection. My experience goes on and on with these guys. After several months my issues continue & this could have all been resolved with customer service & doing the job right to start with. Never, never again.

Upon the recommendation of my auto adjuster, I took my 2014 audi Q5 to get body work done to Rickenbugh, from a driveway fender bender and hail damage. They were able to get me in pretty quickly for the work (much quicker than Prestige Audi and with a more straight-​forward quote).
We confirmed that they use genuine Audi parts for the repair. I had a good experience having the team communicate with me as to when the car would be ready. When the work was done there was a punchlist of about 5 things (compiled from my partner and the Audi dealership) that needed to be addressed and the Rickenbaugh team gladly fixed them in one day, giving me a loaner car, while I waited. I received good and honest customer service.

I had to trade in my last car repaired Rickenbaugh center because 2 week’s after the repair the car blew transmission and engine! So unfortunately 26 days I got my 2015 dart backed into then few days later someone hit the drivers side rear of my car! The shop did a wonderful Job in fixing the car! But to have this tarnished by the administration side by so far keeping the money I overpaid for the deposit saying to me they would return this to me as soon as the check cleared, but that was 14 days ago but as of the 19^th of July have not received it! I have not heard from them since! I’m hoping they can do their job and not mess up the shops fine work !

Amazing! Perfect! Everything you could ever want in a body shop and more! From Diane, the office manager, who I respect and adore to Nick, the prince of perfect cars, it’s a class act through and through! I have had need of these amazing people way too often –through no fault of my own– for realz! It’s a pleasure to take my car in and know how great they make the experience. They are as close to perfection as it gets. You’re taken care of and your car will be as beautiful as the day it was brand new!

Tim at Rickenbaugh is the BEST! We have used Rickenbaugh for many years, and we always receive great service in a timely manner. Everyone is helpful and nice, and the price is always fair. You can trust them without worry. I highly recommend!

I had a really great experience here. I chose the place because I’m a Traveler’s customer, and they have an appraiser in house. Everything was very streamlined. The appraiser reviewed my damage. I dropped off my car, after changing the appointment 3 times which they were very understanding about, and shortly after Enterprise showed up with my rental car. I only had a minor dent in my trunk from a fender bender, but not only did they fix that perfectly, they detailed my car, as well. Having been swindled by a past big name repair shop in the past, I was a bit nervous, but I am so pleased with the results.

I wish i had read the reviews prior to going there. told to bring in my car on Monday. oops wrong part. told to bring it back Friday. told it would be done Wednesday. out of town so gave them til Friday. Cant find the right paint color for my stock late model Audi (what?). Still not done Friday. It will be done on Monday morning first thing.
Show up at 8a and the travelers rep tells me they ‘hope’ to have it done today.
I got extremely angry and left. Call later that day-​they scratched my door while installing the bumper will be done tomorrow. I call Tuesday at 5p after another day of No communication Nada nothing! l. Grant-​the Traveler’s guy doesn’t pick up.-i expect a call first thing next day NOTHING!!!
Wednesday morning I call them-​car will be ready this afternoon.
After almost 3 WEEKS (to simply replace a front panel), I was given the bill for $ 3,500 with no apology, no discount, no acknowledgment, no communication, NOTHING!!!
I have honestly never experienced such a high level of incompetence and lack of professionalism.

This is an update to a previous review of Rickenbaugh Collision. Shortly after posting my review, I was contacted by Rickenbaugh’s VP Nick Pacifico. He was very apologetic for my experiences, took responsibility, and insisted upon correcting and remediating the issues that I had experienced. He has been prompt to respond and address the issues at hand and make sure that his service staff took care of any needs or concerns that I had. The experience has been far different and much more positive. I have since taken my car to the Volvo dealership to be serviced and had the same high quality of service that I experienced at my home dealership in California. While I am disappointed that it took a Unilocal review to get things corrected and the service I have grown accustomed to as a Volvo owner, I am pleased to see the outcome. If things continue this smoothly, I will be leasing many more cars from Rickenbaugh and they have a life-​long customer.

Recently I had a horrible experience here but within minutes of communicating my problems with Nick Pacifico VP, he was able to find a solution to rectify my issues. This company is truly blessed to have him working for them. He honestly cares to provide great service and my Porsche was returned to me in mint condition.

We originally wrote a poor review but I have to say that once the issues were identified– Nick Pacifico (VP of the group) was quick to respond and made certain that my vehicle was repaired to my satisfaction. It is obvious that They do care about good customer service.

I was recommended here by a co-​worker who knew the Pacifico family. After talking with Nick Pickens, the GM of the collision center, I scheduled to have my car repaired here with over $ 10,000 in hail damage. The team did a great job restoring my 2014 back to original condition which required replacing a tire, hood, and roof and PDR’ing the entire driver’s side and trunk. Over 50% of the car required to be re-​painted due to the damage as well.
Only one issue came up, which was my windshield cracked upon re-​installing it, and it was taken care of promptly. Rickenbaugh ordered the new windshield and had it fixed within (2) days.
In all the car took three weeks to repair, which I had expected to take a month as a large storm had just passed through and rickenbaugh had a large influx of cars coming in at that time.
I would absolutely recommend Rickenbaugh to anyone as the team was very responsive, answered all my questions, and thoroughly reviewed my repairs with me upon completion.
Thanks so much to Nick Pickens and Nick Pacifico for doing such a good job and getting my car back to me so quickly and professionally done.

I am in shock and ah. I can’t believe what an awful job they have done. I know people who can use a rattle can better than this body shop. I feel sick to my stomach thinking abut my car. I can’t understand how an outfit like this doesn’t try to do a good job. i am even more sick that i listened to other parties and had my car painted there. With so many bad ratings on Unilocal and other sight. How can they keep hitting bottom. They have the means to be a great and awesome shop. I believe that there involvement with other businesses and insurance and dealers. It is sad. I had my car there and it took about a month for them to get it right. They had overspray pain all over. It wasn’t smooth the areas had to be redone. I just don’t understand. Maybe the general public doesn’t know what a good job should look like. Really bad when you have to get a white crayon and show them. Get real! It was terrible what they tried to give me as a finished product.

I was a little hesitant to bring my vehicle here after reading some of the reviews but after discussing with my insurance company it eased my concerns. I brought my vehicle here to have my insurance company look at the vehicle and write an estimate. After discussing the damages with the Travelers appraiser who is based out of the RIckenbaugh Collision Center I decided to schedule my vehicle repairs at the shop. Travelers was ready to put me in a rental that second and have me on my way so I didn’t have to make more than one trip, but due to my scheduling I was unable to leave my vehicle. A few days later the other insurance carrier as accepted liability and I ended up going through the other carrier to avoid paying my deductible. I ended up working with the shop directly vs. Travelers and to my surprise the service was more than outstanding. The shop accommodated all my needs and concerns. Once the shop got my vehicle into the shop they found additional damage that wasn’t on the initial estimate which caused a delay in repairs since the insurance company had to come back out and approve these items but they worked with the other insurance company and got all the hidden (missed) damaged added to the estimate and got my vehicle looking better then ever!
I know there are plenty of negative reviews on
but after looking into Unilocal more I found 8 other reviews that are not currently recommended on Unilocal and five of the 8 reviews were 5 stars!!! Also when you see the size of this shop I’d imagine they are doing 100+ cars a month and with 4 – 5 bad reviews? I’d take my chances here again and again… It worked for me. But I was patient. I wanted my car done right.
I guess its true though… one bad experience you tell the world, one good experience you tell your mom.

Seeing the reviews, I immediately got a pit in my stomach. Like others, this was also my insurance company’s preferred «concierge shop.» Without going into too deep of detail — and making my blood boil for the millionth time — Rickenbaugh should not be in business. I just started typing everything out and caught myself, and hit delete. I really do not want to go into detail on the internet, but if you are in need of collision repair and have the choice, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

I got rear ended and was sent here by my insurance company, travelers. This place is a joke. I feel like its run by five twenty something men who are not really sure what they are doing.
From the minute I got there and met with the appraiser I should have just left. It has been nothing short of confusion and frustration.
If you have the option to go somewhere else I would highly recommend it.
I read the bad reviews but was unsure on how to go Through another company. I wish I had taken the time and figured it out.
It would have saved me time in the long run.

Remember that show Boiling Points? The one where they would put unsuspecting folks in situations and escalate annoying/​infuriating events until said folks lost it? Well I kept wondering if we were on that show throughout our experience with this place. Seriously.
Long story slightly shorter:
We brought the car in for some repairs because they were a «preferred vendor» for our insurance company. Blunder, apparently. We were originally told it would take 4 days to repair. which we knew was impossible. We did not, however, anticipate that it would take over 5 weeks… Starting about week 2 we were told it would take 2 – 3 more days… every few days… for weeks… it was awesome. Perhaps one of the highlights of this particular brand of joy was towards the end, when we were told it would be ready by 4:45 on a Friday. Since we weren’t going to be able to get over there to pick it up that afternoon, we told them we’d grab it Monday morning. Called Monday to make sure it was cool to pick it up, and were told they were waiting for parts and for paint to dry and it would be a couple more days. I still can’t figure out how it was ready at 4:45 on Friday while missing parts… But wait, it gets better! Finally pick the car up and… there’s new damage to the car. That’s right, dents/​scratches/​missing parts that were intact when we dropped the car off… it was SUPER AWESOME. Oh, and don’t worry about the seatbelt that they failed to reattach to the vehicle. That’s cool fellas, safety last and all. Bring it back a few days later so they can repair the new damage, and they break a piece trying to do that. So we bring it back yet again… finally pick it up… and just go with it in defeat…
Seriously, that’s the short version, I promise. Plus, I can’t decide what was worse — the swarmy fake nice sales people type dudes that pretended like they wanted to help us but really stood around confused and clueless as to what had happened to the car. or the angry clueless front desk lady who was just pissed about having to do her job. (Side note — Steve, the manager type guy, was actually quite helpful and nice, and probably saved some people’s lives… or their faces at least…).
In conclusion — Awful. Just terrible. Beyond bad. I can’t even. just don’t.

I have taken my Jaguar X-​Type, My Porsche CayenneS and my Cadillac Escalade here and have had NOTHING short of impeccable service. Between things that come up and arrival of parts as well as your place in line… those are variables they try hard to control. They always have exceeded my expectations. They do not «nickel and dime» you either. I found a better deal on parts online and my rep did not hesitate for two seconds to offer to order it and pass the savings on to me. When he gave me the time frame estimate it included overnight shipping of parts. So it was either save $ 20 and waiting a week for parts or paying the difference and having my car back sooner. This was something I was comfortable talking to my rep about. Typically people get annoyed — you know they do! He even asked me for the website where I saw the cheaper parts to see if using them in the future would be beneficial. In 3 different people I’ve dealt with here as repair reps, all of them were nothing but helpful, informative and on time. As a repeat customer, I came to them withs something SO minor that a dealership wanted to charge me money to help me with. I came by RCRC and they took care of it for outrageously discounted price… Because it was that small of a deal! They keep it real with you. THE ONE thing I would say is that the older woman who works the front desk could use an attitude adjustment but I would still bring my car back, I’ll just pretend I’m at my g’am g’ams house.

I took my 2005 Pathfinder here after a Hail storm ⁷⁄₂₀₁₁. My insurance company recommended them as they are a preferred shop and they fix high end cars. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday afternoon it was only only to get PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) and some buffing of some scratches where some branches got blown into it. Fast forward to the next Tuesday, Yay my car is done, I went to pick it up and when I walked by it in the parking lot there was still hail damage, the scratches were still there and now there was a blob of paint? on the fender. I went in to talk to the estimator, she was not there and had to be called by the receptionist. Mr. K… is here, WHO? …you know the Nissan (like it was so belittling to work on anything other then Cadillac’s or Volvo’s). So Steve the manager went out and walked around the car with me. He agreed the car was not ready to be picked up and he would have it ready in 24hrs.
Next Day, Went to get my car, still hail damage remains, scratches remain, but are now filled with touch up paint. Paint damaged on roof where the PDR guys pushed too hard and broke the paint. Also buffed through the paint on the fender where the blob of paint was. The hood insulator was only hanging on by 4 clips. I was frustrated so I took my car and called my insurance company, They told me had to take it back to Rickenbaugh but they would repaint the hood, Roof and Fender.
Here comes trip number 3, I dropped it off on a Monday morning, I got it back the next Friday, to my surprise it was worse. Over spray everywhere, pock marks in paint, along with dust and runs. It looked like they took my car to Maaco. They used Thinner on my plastic headlights and it etched and fogged them. Their cut lines are horrible.
Trip number 4, Steve is awesome, however his crew sucks, once again I drop off on Monday and pick up on Friday, This time they replaced my hood since there was still hail damage and the PDR guys had damaged the bottom so bad it was beyond repair. Still have foggy headlights and poor cut lines. Air bubbles in the paint, dust and pock marks STILL in the paint and OVER SPRAY around the windshied. The GM of Rickenbaugh was there his name was Nick. When I brought up these issues he got angry, told me they don’t get paid enough by the insurance company to fix it correctly and that it was within industry standards. Then when I brought up the foggy headlights, he said those were rock chips, I said no thats from thinner he turned around threw the key at me and said «F$%& YOU, I don’t have time for this». That the GM of the dealership, I can’t imagine what he is like trying to buy a car from.
STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
