Not good on so many levels. Sunday evening from 6:45 to 8 pm was the timeframe of our visit to this place. Not another customer in sight. They were very busy with take out and delivery though which gave us hope. Nope. The northeast corner was some sort of messy office space, the booth directly in front of the cashier was filled with so much junk and is where the family members hang. Returned the General Tao’s chicken since it tasted horrible and was clearly frozen dark meat. Ugh. Just bad. The other dishes were tasteless. No water refills, no asking how the food was(guessing they knew not to ask). No music to cover the sound of the phone ringing off the hook or the pots and pans banging around in the kitchen. Glad they are thriving despite the bad food and guess it’s the local college kids on a budget getting cheap food delivered. Cannot understand the great reviews given how tasteless the food was! If you want good Chinese, this isn’t the place.

In a word… YUCK! Not only was the food horrible, but it took well over an hour to deliver… on a Thursday night? If we hadn’t been so damn hungry by the time that the food arrived, I believe that it ALL would have ended up in the trash. We ordered the Mao Tze Tung Chicken & Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. I didn’t try the shrimp, but my roommate didn’t care for it. The chicken was some sorta weird spicy, sweet cornstarch concoction that was not at ALL appealing nor tasty. The chicken tasted as if it had been fried in crankcase oil. On the plus side, the delivery person was pleasant and the food did arrive hot, but if you’re eating crap… does the temperature really matter?

My husband and I live in Fort Collins and I would be thrilled to find Chinese food this good there! My grandparents live right down the street and have been going there for years. The owner is so friendly and I don’t think I’ve had a dish I didn’t like.

So I’m having a hard time finding good Chinese food in this huge city. I figured I’d give this one a chance. Well the chance I took wasn’t a very good one. There were two different meals order and both were less then delicious. The two items were Shrimp with lobster sauce and sesame chicken. The chicken was the better of the two however the chicken was over cooked the breading was hard and was extremely sweet. The shrimp on the other hand had been peeled but not deveined. So the crap(literally) was mixed in my food. Anyone that has eaten shrimp regularly knows they need to be deveined. Never in my life have I had baby corn in this dish from any other Chinese restaurant and the one and only one I bit into(because it was nasty) tasted like a chunk of dirt. Money paid wasn’t worth it. I won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

They came highly recommended to us by a client of mine so I chose to order from them for my sons 13th birthday party at our house. After I put the order in I realized my old address was still in the restaurant ordering system(BeyondMenu) so I promptly called the Red Dragon to give them the correct address. The women who answered the phone never asked my name or what the old address was, just the delivery address, so I gave her that. When the order came to our house it was clearly not ours, by the size of the bag. We ordered enough to feed 10 people. The deliver man figured out the mistake and said he would drive straight back and get the correct order to us promptly. I put the original order in at 5:44 and they didn’t deliver until close to 8:00pm. This is unacceptable, not to mention the horrible attitude I was given by the women on the phone who was trying to blame me for the mistake and letting my know that I was inconveniencing her because our order was backing everything up. I asked them if we were going to get a discount for the fiasco and all they offered was to forget the order or take a 10% discount. We had to take the order because of how late it had already gotten. I don’t normally complain, however this was beyond the scope of pathetic customer service and I though you should be aware of it.

Ordered from here based on a friend’s suggestion. Unfortunately it took forever to be delivered and is the worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Soggy eggrolls, TERRIBLE sesame chicken and fried rice that isnt at all fried rice. If I could give it no stars I would. And the person who answers the phone doesn’t seem to care either. Will never order from them again

Despite their advertised hours, they were not open when we went there for lunch. Hung around for a half-hour waiting for them to open. They didn’t. So we left.

This is the worst food I have eaten from any Chinese restaurant. I ordered the Sesame Chicken, it was fried beyond a point of understanding. It looked bad and tasted worse. we also ordered chicken fried rice, cream cheese ragoons, and egg rolls. All bad. I listed them from bad to worse to deadly. The egg rolls looked like rotten cabbage was used. This place is so bad that the fortune cookies are bad. That was actually the most surprising thing, I thought they would be okay. If I could give negative stars I would.

Ordered delivery within their range(Wash Park) and the meal was delivered 25 minutes over their quoted time on a Sunday evening. We ordered the Sesame Chicken(advertised on the front of the menu) some Moo Shu chicken and some cheese wontons. The Moo Shu Chicken pancakes were drier than any I’ve ever experienced breaking in half after delicately being taken out of the container before any food was even added. 3 bites in to the Moo Shu there was nearly no flavor, and the flavor there was made me cringe. The Sesame chicken actually had a nice taste in it somewhere, but the problem was you really had to search for the flavor. The chicken came out really dry and rough and was overall inedible. Finding the hidden flavor was a wasted effort most the time and a journey we weren’t ready to repeat many times. The wontons had 1⁄3rd the cream cheese a normal wonton does and tasted just of deep fat fried remnants of other items cooked in the same oil. Fortunately they were free with a coupon on the back. The cream cheese was relatively flavorless, but at least they weren’t crab so my SO could eat them. From a couple that orders Chinese about weekly we found no saving grace or reason to return to Red Dragon. The menu didn’t even make it to the end of the meal before it was tossed. If you’re willing to throw away a meal on subpar late food give it a go, otherwise stay away.

I was hoping that this place would be good. But it wasn’t. The Sesame Chicken was over cooked. It was hard and crunchy, and not even enough sauce to soften it up. Too bad! Then, the steamed dumplings were under done. I won’t be back.

Living only blocks away, I opted to try Red Dragon as it’s the closest Chinese place. It’s a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, located in a shopping center along Colorado Boulevard between a dry cleaners and a home fitness store. I went in near the end of their lunch hours and was immediately greeted in a friendly manner. I decided to order the beef and broccoli lunch combo. The employee offered me a coupon for free soup with a lunch purchase, so for $ 7.45 with tax, I got beef and broccoli, soup, fried rice, and an egg roll. My order was hot and ready to go in less than five minutes. They also have a small, intimate dining area for those who want to dine in. I give four stars although the service was friendly and fast, the portions large, and the location convenient, the fried rice just wasn’t that good or flavorful and the egg roll was a bit too greasy. I liked my complimentary soup, though, and the beef and broccoli was just the right amount of garlic-y with a generous amount of broccoli and carrots.

After reading reviews. I thought, how bad could it be? I called in a simple order of Beef Fried Rice and a Wonton soup. My phoned in order of 10 – 15 minutes turned into 30 minutes with no one else to wait on. I took my order home(finished my review after eating), this is truthfully what I thought. While waiting for my pick up order, I used the restroom. Out of paper towels and just normal unkempt restroom, not a good start as I came in looking through a critics eye. As I sat at a table, the restaurant was empty at 8:00p on a Thursday night. The kitchen staff peaked out and all I heard was Spanish music playing softly. I thought that was strange for a Chinese restaurant, just an observation. My Wonton soup was actually really good. Lots of fresh green onions and a very tasty broth. 3 large noodles, actually very flavorful. Not bad, better than I expected. My Beef Fried Rice was okay. I get a craving for take out and Red Dragon satisfied. I certainly would not say this was the worst Chinese food I have ever had, but it was not the best either, average average is my rating. I really think this place needs to listen to their customers — the reviews are more than likely accurate. I cannot truly share my dining experience as I was just waiting for takeout. But, this restaurant is not really a dine in type, more of a delivery or take out atmosphere with an attempt to bring in guests. Felt a little«lived in,» an unkempt cash register area, cluttered and more of an office than a business counter. My personal suggestion to this restaurant. If the food isn’t being raved about, make changes, listen to your reviewing customers — Unilocalers are truthful, sometime a bit crass. I felt bad for the restaurant(upon reading reviews) and wanted to give Red Dragon a chance. I truthfully ordered to see for myself. I might give Red Dragon a second try, but it might be awhile before I do. Definitely not as bad as others suggest, solid 3 stars pushing for improvement.

Terrible. Literally tried one bite of General and Chicken Chow Mein. I mean seriously, two basic dishes. Disgusting. After an hour wait(which was quoted) and a donation of garbage won tons, we sink our teeth into what may have been something that wasn’t chicken. Too kind to call for refund. Typing a review while scrounging for another meal,…now that delivery is closed. Hoping one bite doesn’t hospitalize by tomorrow.

I decide to come here for my weekly cheat meal. I ordered the pork lo mein, sweet & sour combination(breaded shrimp, chicken, and pork in sweet sour sauce), and an order of crab cheese wontons. Total, not including tip was $ 23.00. Not bad. I enjoyed my food immensely for Americanized Chinese. My only suggestion is that they use the sweet sour sauce from my entrée for the sauce that accompanies the crab cheese wontons. The sauce that came with the wontons was strange and not very good. I dined in on this trip and the atmosphere is casual and I kind of felt like I was hanging out at someone’s house. There were a couple of teenage girls taking orders and serving. In between their duties, they seemed to be doing homework and having dinner. The service was friendly and they came around frequently enough to refill your water and make sure you didn’t need anything. The restaurant itself was clean and there’s lots of parking in the strip mall lot.

Service was good. Delivery time was as promised. Sesame chicken was DISGUSTING! Egg rolls were horrid, and the vegetable side was awful. My wife and I were simply hoping for a decent meal and we were sorely disappointed. Maybe others have had better experiences but I’m being very honest. Sorry

After watching one too many documentaries about the way animals are treated in factory farm system, I decided to try to eat more vegetarian and humanely raised animals. I don’t know if the animals used at Red Dragon are humanely raised or not, and I don’t need to. Because they have an excellent vegetarian menu, I eat lunch here regularly. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The hot and sour soup is vegetarian, and the meal also comes with a vegetarian egg roll. I especially enjoy the garlic vegetables, which they make for me without celery. The vegetables have always been fresh, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I have never tried their delivery, but for a vegetarian alternative, I recommend Red Dragon.

Friendly staff and decent Chinese food. Be warned that they do not always open right at the 11AM promised time but are usually opened by 11:30 or so. Decent lunch specials!

Low prices but you get what you pay for. My sesame chicken was soggy and the pieces of chicken were bite-size, but the delivery time was reasonable. The bottom line: If it’s just a cheap meal you seek, this place is okay, but if you’re sitting here reading Unilocal reviews trying to find the best Chinese restaurant in the southwestern United States, move along.

Moved across the street from here 45 days ago — it’s literally a 3 minute wok(ah haha) for me — and decided it was time to throw down here and see how they stack up to Ming’s, Jaya and Thai Pot(my 3 favorite Asian places in the area to chow down). The answer is…*once again*…validating my need for the half-star markings. This place is 3.5 stars. There are good things about it and not-so-great things — nothing immediately«bad» though: The place: 44 – 5 person booths and 64 – 5 person tables. Pretty small. Homey feel to it. The staff: Very pleasant taking my pick-up order on the phone, although entertaining she didn’t know 1 thing I asked for on the menu(shrimp and chicken soup) and discussed it with a cook, who got all kinds of animated with her — she had to explain«it’s ok – I was just asking!» VERY entertaining. ;) The web menu: Severely outdated. Front page says copyright 2005 – 2006, others say 2007. To their huge credit, their menu prices are largely the same(soup was a dollar more). Their portion size: Generous for what you are paying — no question about *that*. The cuisine itself: You get a generous carton of pork in BBQ sauce with shredded cabbage for $ 5 — same cost at Ming’s although it’s served up differently there(more baked in and swims in thin sauce there). Nice contrast here, but utterly nomable. I think they said they use hoisin sauce here. Big plus for you. The shrimp/chicken soup is served in what looks and tastes like chicken broth with some light oil in it. It’s too hot for me to really go to town on it right now — beware if you recoil from baby corn, I was greeted with 2 floating pieces when I opened the large drink container it was swimming in – and sadly but not surprisingly, it has that musty/earthy/moldy baby corn taste. So beware. The rest is nicely chock full of ingredients — shredded chicken, sliced celery, thin carrot strips, broccoli florets — and eventually, digging around, 2 shrimp. Seems a little sparse in shrimp country — good on everything else. I wanted to try the wor wonton soup but Charlene K’s review scared me off it. The combo lo mein: I’m kind of a snob, connoisseur, whatever when it comes to lo mein(just like brownies, cheesecake and shakes). I know when it’s good and I know when it’s bad. The noodles appear to be spaghetti noodles. The ingredients are all there and in generous quantities. The end result itself… somewhat of a let-down. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad at all! It’s just… sort of there. Especially with the noodle part. It needs about 20% more stir-fry sauce/sesame oil/*something* to make it really pop. Until then, it’s just a nicely thrown together carbo dish… but a little *bland*(I know, that’s a black word to utter here on Unilocal, heh). Just sayin’. If I were to rank noodle dishes of the places I mentioned, Jaya better than Mings better than here. Sorry guys. Still, for what I paid for everything(a smidge over $ 20), you get an amazing amount of food — and when you cross $ 12, $ 15 and $ 20 thresholds, you can get even more food if you ask — there are coupons on their website and menus. I point blank asked for it and the server didn’t even bat an eye as she smiled and said«of course». 4 chicken skewers — nothing phenomenal, but tasty enough. I’m at a bit of a loss how they manage(d) to stay afloat paying rent in a strip mall since 2005, 8 years ago, charging this little overhead and still manage to stay in business. I sincerely hope they hang on. And put maybe 10% more inspiration into their combo lo mein. Whatever the quality of your lo mein and BBQ pork determines how well your fate will reward you in the Chinese restaurant industry. ;)
