Plaza Cleaners

Walked in to ask for pricing and the guy laughed at me under his breath. Then he went on to tell me 5.95 for a shirt, 10.95 for a dress for dry cleaning? Are you kidding me? Do NOT recommend.

I have been going to them for over 12 years. They do an excellent job. Always friendly and on time.

I recently moved to cap hill and got a coupon in the mail for $ 10 off. I had recently taken in a wool coat to Frontier cleaners where I paid $ 11 without a coupon so I was so excited about the $ 10 off coupon. I took the same coat to Plaza Cleaners. A man who could not speak english pointed to my receipt that read $ 11.74. I figured that was the cost before the coupon. Turns out that Plaza Cleaners charges $ 22 to dry clean a simple, small coat when you are a coupon holder. I found that this was very dishonest. Their prices are double what other neighborhood dry cleaners are when you are a coupon holder. I will not be returning. I would rather do business with an honest business. TOTAL SCAM!

I wear a suit to work every day, and have for years, so I’ve had my fair share of experience with dry cleaners. Plaza Cleaners is, by far, the WORST I have ever used. I tried five times, just to give them the benefit of the doubt… Every time, multiple shirts came back with missing buttons. They cannot press a shirt… My clothes always came back looking MUCH worse than they looked when I dropped them off. I simply couldn’t wear my shirts to work after getting them back, and the wrinkles were so set in that I had to have Dependable Cleaners re-​do them for me… All five times. Additionally, I do not appreciate that they wrote my name in permanent marker on my shirts. I have 12 shirts with my name written inside now, and the ink has started bleeding, which really angers me. Whatever you do, not NOT trust this place with your clothes, especially when there are two other very competent dry cleaners within a one-​mile radius.

I’ve been going here for, oh, probably five years, and the service has always been outstanding. I have alterations and repair sewing done here, too, and the work is always professional, fast and inexpensive. I’ve tried fancier cleaners before… and paid WAY more… and I keep coming back to Plaza Cleaners. Cho and Soon Ha do a FANTASTIC job! I prefer their work to that of the large chains. Over the years, I’ve brought them comforters, blankets, tons of shirts and slacks, and many, many sewing repair jobs… even odd ones on tough material (a repair job on a weight belt wasn’t too tough for them! Saved me the cost of buying a new one!). It’s great having a place like this in the neighborhood. I’ll continue coming here for years! Tom M.

I was at first dismayed about the price to have a single coat dry cleaned. However, When I got it back, not only was it fresh and clean, but the loosening buttons had been resown and a ripped belt loop had also been repaired. The friendly clerk mentioned nothing of this to me. Instead, it was provided as a natural part of their service. I will be back.

$ 2.10 for a Laundered Shirt, you must be joking

this place is awesome. they not only did a fab job the first time i went in, but also the second. so their fabulousness is definitely a consistent thing. the thing that sold me forever was when, on my third visit, i brought them my white winter coat. i’d gotten some kind of mystery ink/​mascara stain on it that i thought would never come out. i figured it was ruined, but that it couldn’t hurt to let these guys give it a go. it took them a couple of tries, but they got the stain out, and my coat looks brand effin’ new. (yes, pardon the faux profanity, but i’m totally, totally pumped about this.) i sing plaza cleaners’ praises to whomever will listen. they’re friendly, offer better prices than anywhere else near me that i know of (especially if you’ve got a giant down comforter to get cleaned – those can be pricey to have dry cleaned, but here it’s totally reasonable), and they do an outstanding job. love this place!
