We’re new to the area and had been looking for a new salon. I was fortunate to get an appointment next morning with their men’s stylist, Tiffany. Very happy with the cut! Extremely detail oriented and attentive. Highly recommend Tiffany for men’s cut.

Overall impressed and blown away by my stylist Crystal. Not only was I was squeezed in same day for a cut, color, lash tint/​brow wax — but had one of the best salon experiences ever. She understood what I was looking for and knew how to add her professional touch to it. She is a master stylist and for good reasons. She immediately understood my desire to keep my length, trying to grow it out and not cut it. Please trim only. And I really mean trim. Not «ok yea sure just a little» and then woof! I’ve got 2 inches missing. Not crystal — She advised that if are trying to grow their hair out to NOT cut. Words I have never heard from a stylist. Thank you! I am not alone in this world for thinking it doesn’t make sense to cut your hair when you’re trying desperately to grow it out! Trim, sure. So that won me over. She had immediate recommendations for color, was excited and genuinely in the zone working diligently from Start to finish. She allowed me time to mess around on my phone, which was awesome! I’m not a chatty Kathy gossiper. I’m much more of the reserved salon-​goer. It’s my relax time, I talked with people all day for work and just like «me» time when I’m getting pampered. She didn’t try to talk me in or out of any service/​treatment/​product /​she simply catered to what I wanted. On top of this she multi-​tasked liked a pro knowing exactly when to do what treatment. End result: best color I’ve ever had. Best TRIM I’ve ever had and best experience for such a last minute appointment for a stylist I first met. Since she was a master she is the higher treatment fee tier, but well worth it. The only part I thought was silly was charging $ 50 for a cut when it was really 5 snips of the scissors for my trim… But the service more than made up for that. I will be back and highly recommend to anyone needing a stylist. Go see crystal!

This salon is absolutely amazing. I have been going to Caitlin for a while now. She listens to what I want and always makes my hair look amazing. The atmosphere of the salon is nice and they have great customer service.

Very nice people however I received the worst highlights I’ve ever had. I have been getting my hair highlighted for almost 10 years and just absolutely hated my hair. I wanted to go lighter and the stylist put low lights in my hair and it came out almost looking grey. They were very kind and had another stylist fix my hair for free but came it out with very obvious almost zebra type highlights. If you are blonde I would not suggest going here. My hair is now fried and I had to go to another salon to have them fix it. a third time. Again, very kind stylists however I will not be returning.

I purchased a massage for my girlfriend here a few months back and the management here was quite rude to her, and I’m writing this on her behalf since she is too nice of a person to share a bad experience. She is a very shy and quiet, and she works very hard. I thought it would be nice if for her birthday, I got her an hour with the massage specialist there to help her unwind. Upon arriving to the salon the woman behind the counter who I found out later was the manager was quite snippy and quite condescending in her tone. My girlfriend said she was being treated like she was stupid, and more so like a child than a paying customer in a salon looking to be taken care of.
After learning of this, I drove to the salon after work to see if the manager would be willing to maybe offer an apology to her since this was my gift to her, albeit a small one. It really upset me that they made her feel like that, especially in a place where she should be treated with respect and kindness. The manager (who my girlfriend described to a tee later that evening) lied to my face the entire time and said she had no idea who could have done so when she was the one who had spoken so rudely to my girlfriend earlier and ruined her experience. Its just a bad show of character and a poor reflection of the way this place could potentially treat your significant other.

James Taylor is one of my new best friends.
Days before my wedding, I finally got my first professional dye from a good friend who also owns a salon. The color was beautiful, but way too purple. I didn’t have the heart to tell him I hated it (for my wedding), so I looked into color correction and found this place. James took one look and said he could take care of it. A reasonable price and a couple hours later, my hair was the perfect red I wanted for my Irish wedding. I saw him again today for a touch up (I thought about going back to my trusty box color but my roots were so dark… I knew I’d screw it up.) He did a beautiful job and is a fun guy to chat with while you’re in the chair! He remembered details about our first meeting 2+ months ago, I can’t even remember what I ate for dinner last night.
I will be back every 6 – 8 weeks for touchups!

Planet Laboratories is definitely my favorite place for my haircuts. The staff is always super friendly and the facility is really clean.
I’ve had my haircut done by several staff members and I’ve had great experiences with all of them. You can’t really go wrong with any of them. All haircuts come with a hair wash which is nice. And the best thing about this place is that they offer their clients free bang trims! It’s perfect for me since my hair grows so fast!
Definitely give this place a try if you’re in search of a good hair salon.

I have never had extensions before as I have always kept my hair long but as I have gotten older I have noticed that my hair is thinner and all the color I have done over the years plus Colorado climate has left it dry. So, I decided to try extensions to add volume and color without chemicals. My hair is brown with an ombré. My stylist, Danielle, added brown and blonde tape in extensions. They look so natural! I love how they flow with the texture of my hair. People compliment me on my beautiful long hair all the time and when I tell them they are extensions they are shocked! Danielle is professional and a sweet heart. She really cares and you can tell she’s a perfectionist! The salon itself is clean and the other stylists and front desk staff all seem genuinely happy to be there. Thanks Danielle for my luscious locks!

Try a new salon? You’re scared, you say?
Not here, you will be just fine. I usually love going to an Aveda salon, not sure why. Maybe it’s the awesome scalp massage and little extras that come with the haircut!
That alone makes it worth the trip! Honestly, it’s what lured me. How great is it to have someone help you just relax and feel good and then freshen up your ‘do to boot?!
I had Katie, who was completely awesome and hilarious. She was professional and friendly.
They have all levels of stylists here, was a bit confused about who to go with at first, but glad to have Katie. I shall return!

I’ve been seeing Jessica «JD» since she first started at Planet Laboratories over a year ago and I simply cannot bestow enough praise on her. I keep my hair short so I need frequent cuts, every 4 – 5 weeks and every single cut that Jessica has given me has been perfect. I let her decide what direction we’re going in every time because I trust her so implicitly and it pays off every time. Jess/​JD spends her free time studying old Vidal Sassoon videos and does most of her cutting dry, after she’s cut the basic shape wet. The end result is hair that you don’t have to fight to style! I spend five minutes with the blow dryer and my fingers — no brush required. And I am constantly complimented on my hair — by other moms at school, by the men whom I date, by my clients (many of whom are becoming Jessica’s clients!) and by complete strangers! Just do yourself a favor and put yourself in her capable hands for your cutting and coloring needs (I might have to write a separate review about her colour skills).

I booked an appointment after a referral from a friend. The salon is an Aveda salon which I am always a fan of. I had my appointment with Alex and she is very friendly and kind. When I walked in I was greeted by the staff and offered water or tea. I asked for tea and was given a nice large glass. When Alex came to get me I told her I wanted to cut several inches off and add some highlights. I told her to go with what she would think would work for me. I walked out LOVING my hair. It has body and volume and the color of highlights is perfect, not too dark or too light. I have received many compliments and will return. The only down side of this place is there is not a parking lot and the meters are for 3 hours max, which was shorter than my appointment.

For some reason whenever I get highlights in my brown hair, and I ask for natural looking carmel colored highlights, the stylist hears — give me fake blond highlights that will soon turn brassy. So for a while I grew them all out. And then I had that bad hair amnesia and asked for natural, carmel highlights but got… Well, you know what I got.
So fast forward a couple months and I get a call for a job interview. I need to look a little more conservative and I could use a trim but the problem is, the job interview is the next day. So I take a chance and walk into this place hoping someone can fix this head of mess.
So I meet with Alex who is one of the fresh talents or whatever they call them there at Aveda. She’s super sweet, but serious about her hair business. I told her about the brass and I suggested maybe an all over color to fix it. She nixed that idea, told me that she could fix it with a different color highlights and she said all this with such confidence that really, who the hell was I to argue with her?
Oh my gawd, Unilocal,I got the deal of a the decade with her being a new talent. My hair looks amazing — not gonna lie. It’s waaaaay more natural, shiny, and healthy looking. I have had a lot of compliments and several people ask me if it’s my natural color — brass no more!
I really shouldn’t be telling you all about my new stylist because I don’t wanna make it hard to get in or anything. I’m doing it for her — cause she rocks and deserves it.
Oh — and by the way — I got the job. Coincidence? I think not.

This is a great salon! My stylist Thea is amazing… I highly recommend her! I’m not very creative with hair styles and color so I let her create what she thinks will look best! I get complements on my hair all the time…
Even yesterday when I walked out of the salon by a stranger! Thea rocks!!!

I’ve been to Planet Laboratories for haircuts since I moved here two years ago, and I love it! My stylist, Caitlin Ditto, is friendly, kinds, efficient, and always gives me a great haricut. If I were raing on this alone, Planet Laboratories would receive five stars, no doubt!
Yesterday, though, I tried the new nail lab and was incredibly disappointed. My nail stylist seemed to have no idea what she was doing. Even though she received me early (which I appreciated), my nail appointment took an entire hour for a gelish manicure. My normal nail place takes 40 minutes tops. In addition, the quality of my manicure was sub-​par. You’d think after an hour appointment, my nails would come out perfect. Not so. I had extra gel stuck underneath my nail that made it peel easily and uncomfortable. The edges of my nails are not smooth, so after a day I’ve already snagged one and it took part of the paint off. Unless I had a different nail stylist, I will NOT be back for any of the nail services offered at Planet Laboratories.

The name of this place is a little strange if you ask me, but Planet Laboratories offers a good haircut that won’t break the bank… especially if you go with a new talent stylist.
This is an Aveda salon, so it’s nice to get a scalp massage with the shampoo, conditioner, cut, and blow dry. The neck and shoulder massage is not my favorite, but whatever.
I’ve seen Gloria twice, and I’ve been very satisfied with my cuts; the first was good, and the second was even better. I have long thick hair that takes a while to cut, but she remained patient and enthusiastic. She also did a good job with layers, double checking the lengths and thickness on each side, and correcting the slightest imperfections. I recommend Gloria for a haircut… just book in advance for the best dates and times.
If you look closely, this place can be a little cleaner, and the mugs they offer for water or whatever seem a little icky. I’m really just there for the haircut, so it’s fine.
Parking is tough to find, like everywhere else in Cherry Creek, so allow extra time to find something… and remember parking rules are especially strict (over estimate parking time on meters, be sure your plates are not expired, etc.).

I just went in this afternoon for a haircut. Jessica was my stylist and she did an AMAZING job on my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it was seriously like magic how well she replicated the style. She was really helpful in helping me decide how I wanted the style to look for me and was really friendly too.
Aside from that, the salon is really nice and I always feel pampered when I leave an Aveda studio.

This has been my salon for the past three years, after moving from Texas and leaving my beloved hair stylist behind. I have had nothing but the best haircuts and color jobs from Katelynn Jackson. She is amazing and honestly, my hair has never been better. We’ve gone from light to dark to in between and my hair always looks amazing when I leave the salon.
I get a ton of compliments on my color and would recommend Katelynn to anyone looking for the best. More like a trusted friend, she interprets what I like about other styles and colors and makes it make sense for me and on me and always takes the time to listen and make sure I am happy with the final product. and she makes the process fun and is always very friendly, personable and hilarious.

For any man who has watched Frasier and thought «You know, being sophisticated, well groomed, and a bit less masculine than the Brawney paper towel man is ok» the Planet Lab in Cherry Creek will do you just fine.
Yeah, I know its not your neighborhood barber with a stack of playboys sitting next to the chair but the cute hairdressers and superior quality cuts make up for it. When was the last time you went to Don’s Hair Barn and he washed your hair, gave you a neck and scalp massage and a cup of soothing tea? Probably never, but I get all of the above every time I come to Planet Lab.
Just like you can’t look like Ryan Gosling shopping at JC Penney, you can’t get a hair to look like Johnny Depp without putting in the time at a quality salon. Give it a try your social life will thank you.

I will never change my stylist Katie — she has never done me wrong. The cuts, the color, the blow out. I wish I could go every week. She rocks.
The prices are very reasonable.
The only issue in this area, in general, is parking. It is cherry creek.
The entire staff is accommodating. But Katie is my hair goddess!
