Whats this? Another 5 star review for Pillar to Post and crew and I’m not surprised at all to see all the other great reviews.
We hired them to do our home inspection when buying our first home in 2014. This year we’ve noticed an increase in cracks along inside walls and not knowing where to start, we contacted Lee at Pillar to Post. He was gracious enough to come out the same day and take a look around and will be referring us to an engineer to follow up on the potential issue.
Service for the original inspection was top notch and we still refer to the print out of our inspection for things to watch for in our home or to follow up on. The inspection caught that the roof was not up to code, which ‘surprised’ the sellers as they’d already almost closed with a previous buyer, which means previous inspectors had missed this!
It is really refreshing to be referred to a company (by our realtor originally) and come to find they truly are as honest and thorough as suggested.
In short, we highly recommend Pillar to Post for any home inspection needs. Thank you Lee for taking the time to look over our place!

Being that I am a first-​time home buyer, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Marshall certainly exceeded all my expectations and put our minds at ease about this big decision. He was was extremely responsive & communicative. He showed up early to the inspection, so by the time we got there, he had done the initial inspection and took the time to walk us through the entire house and pointed out all the great work the remodelers had done, and helped us discern what was worth bringing to the seller’s attention and what was likely best addressed on our own. It was incredibly helpful to have his perspective and insights. He made us feel really confident in the home we are buying and couldn’t have been nicer, more helpful or more thorough. Highly, highly recommend.

Marshall did a great job. I’m moving into an apartment rather than a home, so Marshall spoke to the building manager about aspects of the entire apartment building. He inspected the boilers in the basement and the garage too.
His knowledge and thoroughness were of paramount help to me as this is my first time as an owner. I didn’t know much about the whole process, but Marshall explained everything to me patiently and articulately.
He was happy to answer some questions I had when I called him a few weeks after the inspection. He is also a very nice guy!

Marshall was very professional and thorough. We were buying an older home, and there were certainly some areas we were concerned about. Marshall assuaged our fears, by pointing out every little flaw (including broken light switches and a missing handrail) and by helping us negotiate with the owners so that we got what we were paying for. He really saved us down the line from larger issues by pointing them out ahead of time and giving us the proper information to have the owners fix everything before we purchased the home.
