This 5 star rating is brought to you by the«bang for your buck» category. This is a small family pizza joint located in a somewhat dilapidated strip mall. So expectations should be tempered. I had the lunch special which is: YUGE Slice of pizza, small side salad, and drink for $ 5.75. You get to compose your own salad at the salad bar. They quickly heated up the mammoth slice. It was a busy place filled with local workers who are in the know. If you like simple NY style pizza, you can’t go wrong. Their crust was spot on!

The Pizza we picked up today was not hot and the crust was terrible. This was a good place to get a decent Pizza for employees until this Pizza. The general consensus fromm all employees: No way, not ever again. We called and complained, they apologized but basically blew us off. One regular customer lost…

I really enjoyed the pizza! Great prices and tastey pizza! Our pizza was HUGE! The Cannoli were excellent as well. Great place to go before the candy tour.

Decent pizza, for 3 bucks they gave me the biggest slice I’ve ever seen! It was like equivalent to 3 big slices! The place has a weird smell and the salad bar looks… Less then AppetizingThe girls behind the counter were very nice.

Went here on my lunch break for 2 slices. I saw them put it in the oven. I waited and waited and waited. Nothing. I go to check in on my pizza and they claimed they called it, but no one came so they«put it back». I had to take the pizza cold to-go because I wasted over 20 minutes there for no damn reason, and didn’t have more time to wait again. Maybe if I was mexican or spoke spanish they would’ve gave a shit about me and my order. They could’ve offered me a free drink or something for ruining my lunch break, but they didn’t. Fuck this place. Never spending my money here ever again. They use way too much sauce on the pizza. Oh yeah and their salad bar looks terrible. All the pasta looked cold and hard, sauce looked cripsy and gross. It was all picked over. Don’t waste your money or precious TIME! What a joke.

Ok. So I tried to give this place a shot. It stinks in here and the pizza is falling apart as I … Oh wait a fly just landed on my food. WTF … Oh no I just wasted 14 $ … The part that is New York style is the boxes the pizza come in.

First off, the sign on the front of this place says«Papa’s Pizza», so I don’t know where Pappas came from, but the address is right, and the pix of the food look like what comes outta this place, so this gotta be the place, OK? I usually have to park across the street if I wanna get a slice from this place, and that’s an exercise in dodging homicidal drivers who actually SPEEDUP when they see a pedestrian. Even better when you’re trying to get back to the truck with your food. What, did they all watch«Deathrace 2000» recently? Food is so-so, although the slices are monster. As has been previously noted, it’s a bitch to get a truck in and get something decent for lunch, but a guy can only take so much McD’s, Subway, etc., et al, al barfo. So I drop in here every so often when only a slice will do. It’s too bad these guys don’t really get the concept of «Lunch», and«To Go», and«Time», as in, «Limited». EVERY freakin’ time I’ve been here, I’ve sat there for 10 minutes or so, then had to go remind them about my slice which has been cooking away in the oven, getting even more crispy and burnt, or sometimes hadn’t even been made yet. Which is exactly what happened yesterday, the crispy/burnt part. Ah, whatthehell, I hear carbon’s good for the bloodstream.

the first thing i need to give a place a good review is their ability to get my order correct. I specifically asked for a sandwich with mustard. Instead i got mayo, which was part of my soggy bread turkey sandwich. The pizza was cold upon arrival, which makes sense since their delivery time of 30 minutes was more like 50. even if warm i would consider it on par with gas station pizza, or maybe cafeteria food. all in all would not recommend this pizza place to anyone.

The food is good, a little salty and dry. I really get turned off when«the management«posts a sign on the fountain machine. «One refill please» Really? How much can a beverage refill be?

I have lived and worked in the Denver area not too far away from Papa’s on Washington St for almost 3 years now. I feel strongly about giving business to the local businesses in the area so we’ve been ordering pizza from Papa’s for our orientation classes almost weekly. We love Papa’s pizza. The crust has a unique flavor to it and the sauces and toppings are always fresh and very tasty. The service is quick and friendly. The prices are very good in comparison. We occasionally will order pizza from one of the chain pizza restaurants not too far down the road from us here too and every time we do, it reminds us how much better Papa’s Pizza really is. We have never had burnt crust or underdone crust. It’s always spot on and some of the best pizza around!

I have been to Pappas several times, and have eaten the enormously large slices of pizza, and their comparably sized calzones. Both items are gigantic and are more than enough to fill you up! The calzones can be a little spicy, and the pizza slices are New York style, so they can be a little greasy but overall I have enjoyed each and every meal there. As my friends and employees seem to like their food also, and it being relatively close to my shop, we will continue to eat there on a regular basis.

Not good at all. I’ve tried this place about 5 times over the past year and its always pretty bad. Its amazing that in this area there is a pizza place and I don’t go to it everyday, there is a very limited selection for food up here.
