One City Block

One City Block is a great place to live! The amenities are fabulous, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. I lived here for 15 months, and would move back in a heart beat were I to be back in Denver.
Uptown is a sweet neighborhood with great shops, restaurants, and even a local grocery store. The grills are one of my favorite amenities, and with so many scattered throughout the property there was almost always an available grill to use!

One City Block is the absolute best!!! Location is phenomenal (no need for a car), amenities are out of this world (fantastic pool, herb garden, dog wash, bike storage, underground heated car parking, great gym, and much more…), and the staff is absolutely amazing! Jackie Olsen originally showed me the property and helped me figure out exactly what I was looking for. She is knowledgeable, smart, funny, and an all-​around fantastic person. She’s still my «go-​to-​girl» and everyone who works here is professional and always willing to help! Yes, Denver has become expensive. But I’m not sure you’ll find a better value for your money than OCB. Come see Jackie… and I’ll see you at the pool!!!

Living at One City Block has been an even better experience than I imagined it would be. Not only are the amenities wonderful (parking garage, top of the line washer/​dryer in each unit, great gym with a free yoga class every week, etc.)but the staff is also friendly and you can tell they care about the residents and take pride in their roles at OCB. The leasing staff is friendly, helpful and puts together some really fun events to bring the community together. The grounds always look beautiful and the buildings are clean and well maintained. Maintenance always shows up quickly and goes above and beyond. The apartments are very nice and modern but most of all the residents are happy to be here and are a nice mix of all ages and professions. Also, there is no other area in Denver I would rather live in. So glad I live here!

While pricier, One City Block has great amenities and service: the gym has modern equipment, the courtyard/​pool is lovely and busy in the summer, and the underground garage is great. The free wi-​fi in the building works well! The staff has been pleasant and helpful — Geoff even noticed that my electricity bill was too high.
The unit itself is quite snug: I haven’t turned the heat on once yet this winter. My only complaint would be that I often hear the footsteps of the tenant above me, which is irksome but can’t be helped/​prevented, short of living on the top floor.

Expensive but good location

Moved here from Austin in April 2015. Lease signing was smooth, all online with docusign, move in was easy with the freight elevator and loading dock. My apartment was spotless moving in, sweet little welcome gift with vino, and good communication/​followup from management. Ask for Mike Martinez.
Neighbors have been pretty quiet, but friendly when we meet in the hallway or at the gym. My dog is very happy, easy to walk in the mornings/​evenings. Close to groceries, bars, restaurants, coffee, dry cleaners, pharmacy, 7 – 11, etc. If I didn’t have to drive to the burbs for work, I wouldn’t drive at all. 5 minute über ride to LoDo, on route to RTD 20 and 28, near light rail: 3 – 4 blocks.
Packages will be delivered to the front office. There are several homeless people living in Benedict Fountain park, but they don’t bother me. The garage parking is included, which is so wonderful and they keep up with snow plowing before I wake up. There are certainly cheaper options in the area, but you get what you pay for.

I work for another property management company in Denver and often have to shop area apartments for pricing, value, etc. It is hard to come by community managers that are dedicated and helpful as the new manager at One City Block, Geoff Roth. Although I was not looking for an apartment he was happy to answer my questions and take the time to talk to me. I love finding other buildings in the area I can recommend if I can’t meet the needs of someone. I highly recommend stopping in One City Block and asking for Geoff, he is sure to make your visit pleasant!!!

I have lived here over a year. I liked it. They never answer the office phone when you need something tho and never call you back. Jason, the older man is uppity and you can just tell he thinks he’s better than you.

moved here from Florida sight unseen about 2 months ago and could not be more pleased with my decision. had originally signed a lease in the lodo area, but found out my building was out of parking spots onsite, and i would have to pay for public, outdoor parking while i was placed on a waiting list.
that was a deal breaker. i found OCB through Unilocal and while it only had a few reviews at the time, all were positive and they each kind of said the same thing and supported each others claims. new building, friendly staff, great area, awesome amenities.
moving across the country to a building you have never seen can be a little bit of a risk and trying experience but my agent, Carl, did everything possible to make the move as easy/​convenient/​fast as possible. all paperwork and payments could be made online, they accepted personnel checks online, so i did not have to mail a cashiers or bank check. Carl was always available to me. Answered my texts/​emails IMMEDIATELY, even on his off days as he understood my apprehension and concerns about the long haul.
my flight did not get in until after hours (9pm), so Carl made arrangements with another property Redpeak owns just down the street (Glennarm Place?), with an on site concierge, and left my keys, fobs, and garage door remotes there. the concierge, his name escapes me, at Glennarm Pl. was amazingly friendly as well and gave me excellent directions back to OCB.
once i found my parking spot thanks to fantastic instructions from Carl and got to my apartment, i found it sparkling clean, clocks set, and everything ready to go. Carl was even nice enough to stock my fridge with some snacks and sodas as he knew i would be getting in kind of late and was new to the area.
since moving in ALL staff members have been amazing courteous and helpful. each has gone out of their way to introduce themselves to me, and re-​assured they were there to help me out with anything at all.
with all of the available upscale apartments in Denver, i feel as though i really lucked out selecting OCB for my residence. now that i have been here for a little bit and have visited or seen the other buildings i was considering (Skyline 1801, The Douglas, Skye 2905, BP Lofts) if i had to do things all over again, i would absolutely choose OCB again.

My girlfriend and I moved in to One City Block a couple weeks ago, and we absolutely LOVE Uptown. Such a fun neighborhood complete with its own personality, and honestly a nice change up from the downtown /​LODO area.
Little mom and pop shops, and local restaurants anchor down these neighborhoods, which make it an ideal location. But your still within walking distance of 16^th street mall and Coors Field when you need to have your fix of the city. City park is only a ten minute bike ride away.
Underground parking, beautiful apartments, and amazing amenities make OCB a great place to call home. I also just found out that DBar Desserts is literally moving into the retail space downstairs! How much more awesome can it get !
You’d have to be crazy not to enjoy living here. Great job red peaks.

Had an awful pre-​lease experience. Ditzy agent with little to no follow-​up. Misquoted prices. Red Peak kept adding on fees — key fob fee, garage fee, pet fee, utility connection fee and the list kept going on. I ended up not moving in — the flaky agent made me uncomfortable and my roommate and I changed our minds. I did have a friend move-​in who said he had to re-​sign his lease three times because the agent kept making mistakes. If Red Peak is going to be so strict and have so many fees, then they better get leasing agents who are on their game. The property was nice, a bit expensive, just beware of Red Peak and their agents.

Great staff, gorgeous apartments – everything is new!, very responsive to resident issues, maintenance, etc. Beautiful rooftop pool, cool, fun residents, parties occasionally thrown for residents by staff but not a «party building» by any means.
Pretty quiet, but full of people who like to have fun (quietly;).

Great company, awesome staff, very friendly and helpful. My husband and I were moving across country and in Wyoming when we got a call from the place we were suppose to move into and explained they didn’t get their certificate of occupancy. What? We are on the road and suppose to move in 2 days later. Insert panic attack.
We toured this place on our scouting trip and found the property to be clean, amenities awesome, helpful staff, and a HUGE section of storage lockers if we needed the extra space. We called them from the road, applied that night, got approved the next morning. Driving through Wyoming in 65mph winds and feathering laptops to spotty cell coverage, we submitted a few documents, signed an online lease, and arrived to find our keys waiting for us. Perfect!
The layout is awesome and while we have one closet in our bedroom, it is the size of a walk-​in because it is so long. Plus there is a hall closet. Plus 8×8×8 extras storage in the enormous garage if you need it.
Thank you for making our chaos very easy to handle. You guys are pros.

My boyfriend and I moved into One City Block this week… so this review is what I’ve seen thus far. Extremely helpful leasing staff, from start to finish of the leasing/​moving in process. We mainly worked with Jaci, but Tria and Sabrina answered questions along the way as well. For the amenities, location, and quality — this apartment is priced VERY well. Anything around the area is much older, and in the same price range. Now, let’s talk space: My boyfriend and I moved into a one-​bed, one bath from our previous two-​bed, two-​bath at our last complex. Going from 950 sq ft to 612 sq ft, is scary. I was worried about the space and storage (as you can imagine.) But this place gobbles storage, it’s amazing! The kitchen cabinet space is fantastic — we have multiple sets of glassware, dishes, etc. and still have four large cabinets for food storage. We went from 3 closets to just 1 here at One City Block. But the closet is massive — and maintenance was willing to work with us to make the very most out of our space by removing or adding any shelving. The first initial walk-​thru made me a tad nervous, but actually putting furniture into the space, I’m blown away by how open it feels. I move around a LOT and this is one of the best spaces I’ve lived in. So far, I’m an impressed and happy resident!

Awesome amenities, great leasing staff. Dissapointing floor plans, apartments have NO storage.
