Nuvo Modern Rentals

This is a review based solely on the customer service, as I did not live in Nuvo. I lived in Dwell apartments which apparently is run by Nuvo Modern rentals (if you call them, their VM says Nuvo).
Here’s the deal, no one will ever call you back .Ever. I have literally called 5 times already without a phone call returned. They owe me money for my security deposit, and refuse to call me back! When I was trying to move out, no one would even call me about a walk through, or how to leave my keys. I ended up having to just leave them in the mailbox. It is literally the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere in my life.
There is one lady who I think actually works for Nuvo who is very nice, but she always says the Dwell person should call me, but she never does. I can’t imagine what a hassle it must be if you actually need something fixed in your apartment but my suggestion is to not deal with this company in any shape or form.

I’ve lived in many places, in many cities over the years, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to write a negative review about an apartment (chiefly as a warning to others.)
Pros:
— Great balcony.
— Cool neighborhood (by park/​bars/​etc), dog-​friendly.
— Street parking was plentiful.
Cons:
— Absurd price for the sq. footage, nickel and dime for anything extra. Read your lease.
— Extremely tiny, faulty elevators. Mini-​furniture only, and I got trapped in it for about 20+ minutes on one occasion.
— Very expensive, very unclean laundry facility in the basement.
— Poor maintenance, lights out and spills/​stains in the stairwells for long periods of time.
— Entertainment room closed at 6pm (right around the time people got off work and might want to use it.)
— Old, dusty building. If you have bad allergies, be very wary.
— But my main complaint: UNBEARABLE heat when the A/​C went off in October! They ran A/​C from about May through October. I signed a lease in August, so the A/​C situation seemed ok at first. But the moment it went off, our unit (top floor) was sweltering. We kept our sliding balcony doors open all winter, and still woke up sweating and miserable. There were surreal nights where snow was literally blowing in on us through the wide-​open bedroom balcony door, yet we couldn’t sleep due to the absurd heat. Management essentially told us «it’s an old building, there’s nothing we can do», and «we’re sorry you don’t like our answers.» I’ve lived in some pretty sketchy places, but this is the first time I’ve EVER had to move out over a month early (and still pay the incredibly-​high rent, since management were utterly unflexible and unhelpful.)
I don’t know if it was just our unit, our floor, or the whole building, but regardless of fault, it was truly unbearable, and nobody seemed capable of doing anything about it. I genuinely feel sorry for future residents. Nuvo seem to be going for the illusion of ‘luxury living’, but my experience here was more like that of a very expensive nightmare. I would never, ever live here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone (needless to say.)

I lived at Nuvo for about two years. Great building about a block off Cheesman Park.
Selling Points:
— Gut renovation, all new carpeting, flooring, and Stainless Steel GE appliances.
— Next to park, which is really nice.
— West facing apartment’s have mountain and park views.
— Underground parking garage
— Building management is located onsite and very responsive. Cindy is very responsive and helpful. Maintenance issues were resolved quickly.
— Option to pay rent online via check or credit card
Not the cheapest building but a very good value given the location, views, and finish out.
