Established in 2008.

Mike Schmisek is the owner and founder of the Mike Schmisek Insurance Agency. Mike decided to start the Mike Schmisek Insurance Agency after a successful career in business management and leadership. Mike was frustrated with the limits of service that he could provide to his clients while working as an employee. Mike saw a service void in the insurance industry and looked at it as an opportunity to grow a successful business built on service, value and trust. In 2008, Mike saw his dream come true when he started the Mike Schmisek Insurance Agency. Mike’s dream of an insurance agency dedicated to the client has proven to be a winning idea. His agency has earned many awards and distinctions for the quality of business as well as the rapid growth of the agency including Toppers, Presidents Council, and Championship.

Mike was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. After a brief stint in Woodbury, Minnesota, Mike moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado with his parents as a high school student. Mike graduated with honors from Highlands Ranch High School in 1997. Mike went on to Colorado State University, in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 2001, Mike graduated from CSU with a degree in Political Science and a minor in History. Mike resides in foothills of south Jefferson County with his wife, three daughters, two cats and dog. Mike enjoys camping, hiking and fly fishing during the summer months and racquetball and swimming during the winter months.

Nobody knows the insurance industry better than Mike Schmisek. I’m sure everybody knows an «insurance guy/​gal» or has one in their network but Mike’s Agency is more than that. I don’t think you’ll find somebody more committed to their agency than Mike and it’s obvious with his knowledge of the industry and powerful team that he has built around him.
I know many people shop around for quotes to see what the best rates are and having the best coverage. Mike is the perfect person to delegate all of that to so you don’t have to worry or make a bunch of phone calls.
Mike has been helpful and responsive to any questions I’ve had for him which I appreciate. I recommend making Mike your first and last call.

There are so many great things I can say about Mike. His ethics and integrity are above reproach.
He most recently wrote a policy for my business. After asking questions and evaluating my situation, he recommended a policy that made sense and that was affordable. Additionally, he took the time to thoroughly explain the coverage so I was more than clear about how the policy worked.
In regards to our homeowners/​auto policy, our current situation was better than what Farmers could offer. He was honest and up front about it, and actually recommended we keep what we have, while highlighting a few things we should consider to make sure we weren’t over covered.
I would recommend Mike to anyone. He is by far the most knowledgeable and honest agent I’ve met.
