Mark’s Optical

I was very impressed with their speed, price, and service. I’ve never needed glasses but my daughter had trouble seeing the chalkboard at school and the folks did a great job fixing her up. The glasses make all the difference in the world for her, and they were very nice in explaining all the different options to me. We ended up with two pairs of glasses for her that cost less than many people pay for one, and the kiddo just loves the styles. I’d would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great customer service at an excellent price.

No expertise in fitting.
I purchased a pair of frames and lenses from them, and to their credit the construction of the lenses seems to be ok; however, they have no expertise in fitting the frames to my face! This is something one expects from an optician ;-(
Anyway, when I first picked up the glasses, the lady who was supposed to fit them to me tried to insult me by saying my «…eyebrows were not straight.» Actually, this demonstrated her lack of expertise right away, since no one has perfectly straight eyebrows :-) Then she went on to tell me that «You have to wear them for a week or so before we can do a final fitting.» This seemed odd to me as the national chains I’ve shopped at in the past never made this request.
So, I accepted her inexperience and lack of expertise and wore the glasses for week. It was like wearing some sort of medieval torture device (only a slight exaggeration here :-) After a week, I called and MADE A SPECIFIC APPOINTMENT with the original guy who sold me the glasses (Gennady, I think his name was) to have him adjust them. When I arrived for the appointment, he was not there! Not very good customer service.
I went to the national chain that I normally use and they adjusted them for free and EARNED MY FUTURE BUSINESS. Not sure why I ever decided to NOT use the national chain in the first place!
I will never return to «Marks Optical» and I encourage anyone who reads this to avoid them as well.
