Madison Cleaning Services

My mother in-​law has been using Madison Cleaning Services for years. When it came time for my wife and I to purchase our home, her mom recommended that we try Madison. Her team did an excellent job cleaning the home just prior to moving in. We’ve kept them on a three-​week schedule for regular cleaning. They’re always on time and are very courteous. I also have begun using Madison Cleaning for deep cleaning my rental properties after a tenant moves out. They seem to be a good value and I’ve had tenants leave my places quite a mess!

I’ve had two cleanings from Madison and have been very satisfied with the results. In fact, reading some of these reviews I’m quite shocked to see such polarizing opinions. But anyway, back to my experience:
1. Initial deep clean: For three days following the cleaning I was still finding things I didn’t realize they had cleaned… I’m pretty observant and had given the place a cursory once over to begin with. I couldn’t have been more impressed. Granted, this was not cheap. But the two individuals who showed up worked at least 16 solid man-​hours and, checking in periodically, they didn’t stop. I saw them as they left for the day and let me tell you — they WORKED. I would have that pair back any day (I don’t know their names to facilitate specific requests).
I found the correspondence via email and text to be very prompt, and was pleased that they simply bill my credit card and I don’t have to coordinate a leaving a check. This also provides an added layer of protection for me the consumer.
I got what I paid for. In spades. The house literally hadn’t been that spotless since I moved in.
2. Follow up clean: Different crew — surprised me by being early. I wasn’t able to communicate with either crew as I haven’t had any Spanish since high school, however, they were able to fire up a smart phone and get me someone to translate right away. There was one minor miss that I noticed and they offered to come back, but it wasn’t that big of a deal.
Again, they held to the price, conveniently charged my card, and that was that.
In terms of the polarizing reviews here on Unilocal I would offer the following recommendation as a general course of good business practice:
a) Negotiate and communicate in writing using photographs where appropriate; we all have smart phones.
b) Clearly articulate your expectations and metrics for success.
c) Ensure you clearly understand and agree on steps to remedy mistakes and mishaps — they happen, be reasonable.
If you’re concerned about hitting a specific price or wrapping up in a fixed number of hours, say so. On my second cleaning I didn’t want to exceed $ 150 without express authorization, and Grace made certain to meet my objective.
I anticipate that I will continue utilizing Madison on an ad-​hoc basis and would encourage others to try their services.

My wife and I are very disappointed with this company. We recently decided to sell our house and wanted to do a deep cleaning. My wife, who is in her 3^rd trimester of pregnancy, called Madison Cleaning Services to set up an appointment. She was advised that 2 cleaners would be coming out. Only one showed up and she was late. I explained what I wanted done, but her English was poor. The second cleaner showed up over 2 hours later and stated that this wasn’t her typical job, and the experienced cleaner called out sick. They took a very long time to clean 3 rooms. What was supposed to be a 3 hrs job turned into 7 hrs + hours. We had to tell them to leave because they were taking too long and not doing a good job. Not only did they clean the parts that we did not want them to clean, they also did major damage to the sink and stove. The sink spray was kicked off the sink’s counter because one of the girls was standing on the counters cleaning the light fixture. She definitely kicked it pretty good, probably not intentionally, for the entire spray hose to disconnect from the sink’s counter top. The damage on the stove was extreme, it turned our stove top where the knobs are blackish grey and had stained streaks from their cleaning supply. We were days from our house going up on the market and our stove looked like it had been burnt! It was a pain attempting to contact them to discuss the issue since they wouldn’t return phone calls for days. They eventually agreed to come out and try to fix the stain, but they were late again. They couldn’t fix the stain and added more damage to the stove by trying to scrape it with a sharp object. After over a month of going back and forth with them, Grace, the owner finally agreed to replace the stained piece of the stove which we were satisfied with. We gave them the model serial number, and unfortunately, the piece for the stove was no longer available, so she said that she would replace the entire stove. They came and took the old stove and replaced it with a new one. Shortly after the replacement, my wife received degrading text messages from the owner, saying what a scam artist she is. First off, we did not ask for a new stove, we were perfectly happy with our stove that was in great working condition. Second, her employee damaged our property and your company guarantees 100% customer satisfaction, and is insured and bonded; therefore, Grace-​the owner, needs to be accountable for her employees when they damaged client’s property. We called for cleaners to come over to clean due to my wife’s pregnancy, not come and damage my stuff especially prior to selling my house. Furthermore, Grace text messaged my wife degrading and incriminating text messages calling her a scam artist. My wife asked her to call her as it was extremely unprofessional to text message a client those type of text messages NONSTOP for an hour. She refused to talk to my wife on the phone; however, she had an hour or so to continue text messaging my wife and sending her photos of our stove that her husband tore apart. So much time wasted going back and forth with this company. What a headache! I do not recommend them to anyone. Grace is hard to work with and not responsive. In addition, instead of owning up to problems her staff created she goes on about how perfect her staff is and how they could have never created such damage to a stove. However, in a prior conversation with Grace she stated they had to replace an oven door from a stove that was damaged due to one of her employees. This place and the owner are not professional and do not respect your time or your property. Buyer beware. If you decide to use Madison cleaning we hope you have a better experience. Our sink spray is still broken, but we are no longer wasting our time pursuing Grace for damages as it’s not worth our time to deal with such unprofessional people like Grace and her team.

I called because I’m selling my house and wanted a ‘deep cleaning’ before our open house. The woman I spoke to was nice, cheerful and knowledgeable. Fully understood what I needed assured me she could help.
She wanted my credit card to secure the appointment.
I think I got the «B» team. Very little English spoken, they were there an hour early, I was not dressed yet. They did an adequate cleaning if they had been coming weekly, but I didn’t think they got the deep cleaning concept. I mopped the floors and vacuumed after they left, re-​cleaned the bathroom walls and floors. A mediocre job. Oddly, they didn’t ask about money, they just left.
My card was charged without my permission or knowledge. I did hear from the original woman I had spoken to, she offered to send them again, but the open house was in progress. I just chalked it up to way too typical service where just getting by is good enough.
I wouldn’t use Madison Cleaning service again nor would I recommend them.

I was very dissatisfied with this service. The only positive thing I can say is that they were able to come last minute (maybe because no one else is using them?) I specifically asked the receptionist what I could expect to be cleaned, it included dusting, floors, cleaning appliances including inside the refrigerator and generally making your home spotless. To my understanding, I was paying for an initial deep, detailed clean, but that is very far from what I received. When I came home, my house did not even smell clean. They didn’t clean the bathroom floors, they didn’t clean/​dust the baseboards, they didn’t dust the ceiling fan or the walls that very clearly had dust bunnies, they left a mess on the basement carpet and they did not clean the refrigerator as I was expecting. I was left wondering exactly what they were doing here for 4 hours. I spent 2.5 hours cleaning after I hired them to do the job. This company is NOT worth the money.

We recently switched from a big-​name cleaning service for our office /​warehouse (mixed space) cleanings. Some areas were very, very dirty from neglect over a 2 year period. Grace and her team did a great job of deep cleaning (initially) and keeping up with a thorough cleaning regularly.
I am very happy with the quality of the work, and the flexibility of this local business to work with us effectively.

I had a rental property I was going to put on the market for sale that looked like it had not been cleaned since the renters moved in. The Madison crew totally transformed the appearance of the inside of the property by providing a much needed .deep cleaning. .Scheduling was easy and result was great.

My husband set it up for me to have a cleaning service come to the house. He said whatever I need to relieve some of the stresses. I came home from work and was very pleasantly surprised! I have a house full of people, sister living in the basement and a 18 month old boy. The house was clean and smelled clean! It’s been awhile since it’s been that way.
As I walked through the house they didn’t miss a thing. The bathrooms cleaned, kitchen clean. They pulled all of the books off the shelves to dust and even re-​organized some of our crazy messy shelves. My husband has now decided after seeing how happy I was, that we will be having the cone every month! I can’t complain!

Where to start;
I have known Grace from Madison Cleaning Services for some time now… recently had my house cleaned for the first time with the company.
My house;: 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, a loft and finished basement. We have 4 adults, a baby, a dog and a cat. Needless to say my house has its share of messiness… However its not a pigs-​sty and just has normal cleaning needs, or so I thought.
I made arrangements with MCS to have a deep cleaning done on the house, Grace said it would take about 3 hours for 2 of her staff to complete… seems like a reasonable amount of time for the job at hand.
We scheduled for a week or so out, on the day the girls were to come it had snowed like 8″ in Highlands Ranch and I didn’t wanna have the girls come and drive thru a snowy hell, so I called Grace, asked to reschedule; she was cordial and understanding (although she says the girls don’t get scared of snow!). We rescheduled for a week or so later.
The day comes, 9am on a Monday. Erica and Perla show up on time in uniform. They had some serious cleaning equipment with them, ready to clean and conquer. Both were very nice… asked me what cleaning needs we required, and being that this was the first clean, I said whatever you think! Basically just walked them around the house and they asked a few questions here and there. pretty painless.
I took my son to the park for a couple hours, and my sister in law was still in the house getting ready for the day. I left about 9:30 and my sister left about an hour later. She said Erica and Perla were cranking away at the house when she left.
Ended up leaving my son with my Sis and she went back to the house about noon, to find the girls still cleaning.
They ended up staying for a long time, probably 5 hours!
Now the important part– the cleaning…
As I said earlier, the house isn’t terribly messy but definitely not white-​glove approved. The girls did fantastic job… when I came home about 7pm that night the house smelled clean, kind of like fresh cut grass but different ya know?
First thing I noticed was the kitchen— the dishes were done and any that had been left to dry were put away, my countertop appliances were sort of rearranged but nothing major, in fact they are still in the same places the girls left them. They cleaned the glass stove top very well, stainless steel, and countertops were spotless. Even put my tortillas in the fridge, lol.
The hardwood floors were cleaned, and carpet vacuumed perfect.
Living room was dusted, couch pillows organized, and blankets folded. Entertainment center was cleaned and organized. Sliding glass door was cleaned inside and out.
All the bedrooms were vacuumed, beds made, night stands and dressers were dusted and cleaned.
As for the bathrooms, my lady is kind of particular about bathroom cleanliness, she came home and was impressed… normally her area of cleaning and she had no complaints. The showers were are cleaned well, mirrors wiped and cleaned, floors dialed in, and toilets sparkly-​fresh! Toilet paper even folded nicely. Great feeling to have a clean bathroom!
The basement is a particular part of the house which needed much more care; doesn’t get cleaned very often, if ever. The girls really did a number in the basement… went as far as organizing the space and putting everything in a place, instead of the normal everywhichwhere. The basement bathroom, which hadn’t been cleaned in a year at least, looks like new again! They definitely spent some time in the basement and it shows!
To summarize; my family is very happy with Madison Cleaning Service. We plan to make the cleaning service happen a couple times a month. I will definitely recommend Grace and her crew to my friends and family. Give them a shot, you will be pleased!

I agree with Jaime — Grace is a wonderful person and cares about her customers! They do a thorough job, are trustworthy and friendly! They are one of the best in town, trust me I have tried numerous people from Group On and Living Social!

Grace and her cleaning ladies do a great job cleaning my home that gets very messy. When they arrive, my house is so messy w/​clothes and books and various things laying around. My house also gets dusty. We love going back to our home after the cleaning ladies are done — the house smell so fresh and everything looks so clean and they even organize!!! The work they do for us is worth the money because they work hard and do a very good thorough job. Having gone through 4 different cleaning companies before, I’ve been very satisfied w/​Madison Cleaning Services.

I’m shocked by the poor reviews of Grace and her cleaning company! All I can say is that some people enjoy being terribly difficult and perfectly awful customers. And I’m guessing they’re internet trolls. I NEVER had a problem with Grace or her crew. Then again, I am direct and I speak up when I’m unhappy with something without yelling or being disrespectful.
Grace and her cleaning crew did our move-​in cleaning when we moved to Denver in June of 2012 and came every 3 weeks to clean until we moved back home to Minnesota in October 2013. They did our move-​out cleaning in October 2013. I trusted Grace and her team so much, I didn’t even stick around to check their work before I turned in the keys and headed out on the road!
Grace and her crew always did a thorough job. I trusted Grace 100% to bring safe, qualified people into my home regardless of age, sex, race, etc. I had our daughter in December 2012 and I’m a neurotic new mom (really neurotic). Not once was I ever concerned about Grace and her crew working in my house with myself and my newborn baby girl. Grace even worked with me when money was tight as my husband transitioned jobs.
I don’t look at having someone clean your house as a luxury, it’s a necessity for me to be able to focus on my career and my daughter. My husband and I both work full time and if we tried to do it all ourselves, we’d probably fail at everything. The peace of mind of having a clean house done by a reputable, licensed cleaner with a thoroughly vetted crew was worth every penny. Grace was always direct and easy to deal with.

I have been happy with all three times we have used Madison Cleaning Services. Grace has been great at communicating with me and we have nothing to complain about. Our house looks GREAT after each visit. I highly recommend it to anyone. I am pregnant and this is my splurge. So very worth it! Prices are right in line with other services we have used and researched. The deep clean service we started with was amazing, even our toaster oven was cleaned inside and out! WOW!

Grace and her crew do a fantastic job of cleaning the house. The thing I like about MCS is that they will put in as much time and effort that’s required to get the house clean. She is flexible with the scheduling and always follows up to see how they did. They are also open to feedback and will follow any special requests as long as you notify them. All around a great value. Highly recommended!

Grace is a wonderful business owner and knows how to offer the best cleaning services in Denver. She works hard and so do her employers. She pays attention to details and values all her customers. She communicates well with you about what cleaning needs you need. She has been cleaning my home for almost 3 years!!! I trust her and she does the best job. I have had other cleaning companies work for me but she is the best. She once cleaned a friends house for me last minute for a very important family/​emergency. She came at 5 in the morning just to help me out. She is a friend and I value what she brings to my home and to my family. I highly recommend her and trust her and her employees.

I’ve used Madison Cleaning for over a year now, and cleaning day is one of my favorite days of the month. I like the company and Grace because it is a small operation (not like the big name companies where they rush through and leave a lot of details to be finished), and Grace is always concerned about my satisfaction with the job done. Grace and her staff have been understanding of my schedule and lifestyle, and it’s nice knowing that I don’t have to worry about getting the cleaning done! They have been able to come last minute if I need as well as schedule out a few weeks so I can look forward to it.
I honestly don’t know what I would do without them. I’m so glad I found them so I don’t have to deal with 1 – 800 numbers, tight company schedules, and companies who just rush through the job. I’ve recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so!

Grace and her crew have always pleased me and do everything I ask. I would say that I am picky and more discriminating then the average person. The crew has always done an excellent job and cheerfully follow my instructions and special requests. We have used Madison for over a year and are very satisfied. I would highly recommend them, in fact my next door neighbor hired them after my recommendation and have been happy as well. I love coming home to a clean house!

If you are looking for a professional cleaning service I suggest you look elsewhere. Horrible, horrible customer service and the cleaning job was so bad that I actually had to clean the house myself. Grace (the owner) does not deserve to have any repeat business as she treats her customers like dirt.

I’ve had a lot of cleaning services come and help and and this is by far the worst. It took many tries to reach Grace and when I did, she was abrupt and rude. When her crew showed up — -very late — -they were the creepiest bunch I’d ever dealt with. They did a horrible job, many of the basics were left undo — i.e. cleaning bathroom mirrors, sweeping in places, etc. I didn’t feel comfortable having this service in my house and you could tell they were terrified of Grace… who they had to sit and wait for to get a ride. Just really a bad experience, even with my Groupon.

This place has horrible customer Service.
They dont call you back or respond to requests online.
