We’re skim coating our walls, and I searched all over Denver to find a certain primer. They’re the only place that had it in stock! While I was there, I talked to the guy in the paint sprayer department. He was super-knowledgeable about tip sizes for spraying high-build primer(in case our skim coat turns out less-than-great). They rent paint sprayers, and I’m thinking it might be better to return the one we bought from a big-box store, and if necessary, just rent one from Lucas. For now, I’m crossing my fingers and working hard on the skim coat.

These guys were fantastic. I’ll ever go elsewhere for paint. Fun, friendly, and actually cared.

A great neighborhood place! The staff is friendly and helpful. We are preparing the arrival of our daughter and needed to get the nursery painted. Because we were worried about the toxicity of the paint we found that this place is not only close by, but also carries no VOC paint brands like Natura and Eco spec. We went in and they were super helpful, offered great suggestions and were able to get us what we needed. They were out of one gallon type that we needed and let me know they would have more in stock in two days, that they would even hold it for me to come pick it up. Great customer service and even better that I can get what I need without having to go to a big box store.

Yup. Just adding another vote. They’re attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, cheaper than hardware stores, and much more helpful.

Ask for Shane if you’re not sure about your color choices or don’t really know what you’re doing… he is so helpful! Great experience and great to work with a local paint shop instead of a huge hardware store.

Wow! I won’t ever go back to crappy paint at a large warehouse store again. The gentleman that helped us was incredibly knowledgable, thoughtful, considerate, and friendly. The paint far exceeded the«high end» walmart paint I had just bought(I didn’t like the color). It went on smoothly and dried beautifully. This place is worth the extra expense without a doubt.

I love this place. The staff here is so friendly. For example, once we stopped in from a walk with my dog to pick up some paint swatches. One of us stayed outside with the dog, and when the owner noticed, he insisted we bring our dog inside to browse with us. They will give you little 2oz samples of any paint color you want. I’ve since found that most Benjamin Moore places only offer a small selection pre-mixed in these sample sizes. Also, they carry Aura paint which, while expensive at $ 55+ a gallon, is well worth the price because you usually only need one coat of it to cover the wall. We’ve averaged about 50%-100% more coverage than regular paint with it and the extra quality and pigmentation make the paint seem to almost change while you are looking at it from different angles. Also, it’s washable in any sheen and dries very quickly with very little of the common obnoxious odor associated with most paints. Please support this very cool local shop, they’ll treat you right and they deserve your business.
