**About the Boutique Photography Experience**

The photographic art you place on your wall is the sum of the vision of the photographer, what you wear to your session, the environment, the lighting, and your mood and personality at the time of the session.

Custom photography is ultimately about choice, experience and finding a professional who takes the time to get to know your family and your needs, giving you full, undivided attention.

**What is it like working with Suzy?**

I try to put everyone at ease when they are in front of my lens. You may hate the idea of being the center of attention or you may love it — either way, I do my best to bring out the best in you and your family. I do give my clients direction when it comes to posing, but I also capture those in between candid moments that show connection and real personality.

When I pick up my camera, I look for the best light and when I get home and upload your photos, I take my time selecting your images and then retouching every photo that you are shown. I am not a shoot and burn photographer. This means that I do not take photos and then just give you all of the unretouched images. Think of me as an artist. I use my background in design and photo retouching to «hand paint» each individual photo to present you with heirloom quality images that are both professional and beautiful.

WHO IS LILY RED? Lily Red is a pseudonym for Suzy Rohan (owner of Lily Red Studio) — Suzy \s (u)-zy\ which is a variant of Susan (Hebrew), means «lily», and Rohan \ro-​han\ is of Irish origin, and means «red».

In the summer of 2009 Suzy fulfilled one of her life-​long dreams of starting her design and photography business — Lily Red Studio!

Business Owner

I am Wisconsin native. I spent my childhood building forts by our creek and pretending I was an explorer on an adventure that took place within the boundaries of our 100 acre farm. My grandmother was my first art teacher — I still remember her showing me how to properly draw a face in perfect proportion. After studying Graphic Design at UW Milwaukee, I left Wisconsin and ventured to New York City where I worked as a designer and photographer.

Lily Red Studio was founded in July, 2009 in Chicago, IL. After spending five years focusing on family and wedding photography, my little family moved to Denver, CO where I focus on child and family photography.
