Light Speed Delivery

***EDITING PRIOR REVIEW as Coleman Furniture stepped up to correct things. They reimbursed me the $ 30 fee charged by Light Speed. They contract out to Light Speed and I blame poor communication & procedure. Hopefully they will communicate better moving forward.
I ordered a loveseat from Coleman furniture online on 3÷29÷16. It was advertised as free shipping & handling. I was called by Light Speed Delivery on 5÷5÷16 that they were going to deliver the loveseat to me the next day (finally!) but no «heads up» they they’d charge me for the drivers to take the item into my house. I was charged $ 30 for them to drop off the loveseat in its packaging in the center of my floor. They didn’t unpack it, assemble it, nothing. I know it’s not a lot of money but it’s poor customer service on both Coleman furniture’s part and Light Speed Delivery’s part not to notify me in advance of the delivery fee. Apparently it would have been free if they left it on the sidewalk vs. rolling it into my home. If I knew, I would have simply had a friend help me roll it into the house. I called both Coleman and Light Speed and both pointing the finger at each other and I’m left paying the bill. Terrible customer service on both companies part.

So when movers I hired decided to screw me over by saying, after they had loaded up everything else, that they couldn’t move my refrigerator, after I had confirmed TWICE, that they would, Light Speed Delivery totally came to my rescue!
The house was sold and I had to get the refrigerator our! To say I was panicking is an understatement, but Angela, who was so sweet and kind, listened to my problem and got me an appointment within three hours. Kendrick and Jeremy were nothing short of amazing, their efficiency, not to mention their empathy for my situation, was wonderful. I don’t know what I would have done without them, Light Speed Delivery definitely saved the day!!!

I recently moved my mother from Salt Lake to Denver and if God himself was going to move he would use Light Speed Delivery. My mother has a lot of medical issues and therefor she has a lot of medical equipment. They took exceptional care of her equipment. thanks guys

Light Speed Delivery handled my furniture delivery in a most efficient and courteous manner. Angela was helpful, knowledgable and pleasant to work with. My delivery was complicated by the fact that I do not live full time in the condo that was the destination for the furniture. I needed to have accurate and timely updates on the delivery in order to coordinate with my property managers, and she was able to do this until the delivery was completed. I will definitely use Light Speed again.

I hired Light Speed to do a delivery on an extremely heavy gun safe (1100 pounds!) for installation into a tight basement.
These guys are not cheap and I would say that the price is borderline crazy but moving such a heavy object where the potential for major damage or injury is present I was not willing to save a few bucks and get someone without the experience. In fact I would comment that local safe retailers wouldn’t even consider my installation because they viewed it as too risky due to very little room to maneuver and very tight access.
Kedrick and Jose showed up and got my safe in with a lot of sweating and tough turns but amazingly little to no damage to anything on the home (I might have had a tiny amount of paint rubbed off of a corner as well as a gash in a door molding at the basement entry). I was most concerned about our soft plank birch floors near the entry location but they didn’t ding them up at all (/​/​edit … I do see that I got one small gouge in the floor that I will have to repair but I can just fill it with some wood putty).
It’s worth noting that they have a very expensive stair climbing motorized dolly, without which the job might not have even been possible. I was concerned about the weight on the staircase but the dolly and two guys were spanned out over 4 – 5 steps so it was not a problem.
I did notice after the install was done that a bit of paint was chipped off on the bottom of the safe. Honestly considering how hard my install was I think if this is the worst that happened I should consider myself lucky. The safe manufacturer provides a touch up kit so I will attempt to repair that myself.
To sum up, extremely courteous and polite company and delivery guys who you have no problem having in your home or even having a beer with under different circumstances. My only reason for dinging a star is that you pay a lot for what you get. 2 guys + robot dolly and 3 hours for an installation set me back $ 540. Ouch. Then again, who else is going to do this in the area and not scare me half to death in the process that something is going to be destroyed in our home? No one that I know of.

Light Speed Delivery showed up on time, and provided fantastic service. In my case, they were moving a 600lb+ safe down two flights of stairs, across hardwood floors. They didn’t leave a scratch behind and they worked their tails off to get it done. I ended up with Demetrius and David.

I would rate them as ZERO.
They are the most unprofessional moving company I have ever used. They damaged numerous items including an antique table from Holland and an antique hand carved chair from Belgium, and will not repair them. It is now three weeks later and they are still «investigating the damage.» Not sure what they are investigating since their own driver admitted they damaged the items, and took pictures of the damage himself.
They did not assess my moving needs prior to sending out an inadequate crew on the day of the move. The driver told me that my move required 2 trucks and 5 men. The company sent 1 truck and 3 men. The antique chair was damaged because they did not wrap any of the furniture, and due to the inadequate size of the moving truck, piled the chairs so high that one of them fell down and broke. They banged up my antique table and several other chairs and bookcases because they were not wrapped and they consistently bumped into walls as they carried the items into my office suite.
Then they had the audacity to dun me for some totes and moving supplies that they claim were never returned to them. As if I was going to keep large yellow plastic totes and metal bars.
The bottom line is that they are so disorganized, that they didn’t know how many totes were actually delivered to me nor did they know how many they actually retrieved.
This moving company is SCUM. The owner, Brian, is dishonest and lied to my face telling me that he would have a repairman fix the damage in the next day or two, while at the same time demanding payment in full prior to the departure of the moving crew. He had no intention of fixing anything they damaged nor did he accept responsibility for their careless shoddy work. If they were the last moving company in the city, I would NEVER use them. 10÷04÷13

WOW WHAT GREAT SERVICE!!! ANGELA WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. I was so pleased and grateful. It was a small move but fraught with misadventure. Angela smoothed everthing out and I was spared and old age of drugs and alcohol.

The only reason i even gave one star was because the movers were very friendly. We called for a quote and said everything we had to move, and even over shot it with the boxes just so we’d be ok. We were quoted $ 225-@290. The movers showed up, packed stuff up, and i’m not really sure what took them so long to get from my old place to my new place. Anyways, they unloaded in 15 minutes. I thought that was great, until he brought in the bill. 300 PLUS 50 for the truck which we were told was all included! So it was way more than the actual quote, but of course the office was closed when we tried to call and complain. After tipping (bc it’s not the movers fault), it was way too much for a 2 hours move. And a couple things are scratched but thats the least of my concern right now.

Light Speed Delivery has moved me twice over the course of three years. Each time the movers have been on time and have completed the job in the assigned time. The price came in the same as my quote. I had three other moving companies bid on the project and Light Speed came in the most competitive. If you luck out with either Brian (the owner) or D on your move you can go buy a lottery ticket. You just hit the jackpot… both guys are great to work with. I also use Light Speed Delivery for my storage needs. I have used two other vendors in the past. Never had an issue with Light Speed.

We recently moved from the Riverfront to the Ballpark neighborhood and had a 5 day gap between our move out and move in. Light Speed gave us the most competitive quote of the 10 moving companies that I called and came in right at the quote. They were also able to store our stuff on the truck for 5 days at a very low per day cost. The two gentlemen that I spoke to on the phone were both very helpful and had a very low pressure sales approach.
The actual movers were also great. They were fast and professional. We were very impressed with the care that they took with all of our stuff. I don’t think there was a single scratch on any of our furniture and everything came through in one piece.
I would highly recommend using Light Speed Delivery for your next move. We will definitely be using them again in the future.
