This is my second try with Le Grue’s. The first time, I walked in and asked for help with a quick or ready made flower arrangement to cheer up a friend. The sales person had nothing but attitude and seemed irritated that I was bothering him. That was 4 years ago. I decided to give them another try because they advertised unique floral arrangements. I ordered flowers for Valentine’s Day – to be delivered. It is 3 p.m. on Valentine’s Day and still no delivery. I called to make sure the order was OK and once again, I got nothing but attitude! They said they are busy and do not guarantee Valentine’s Day delivery before 5p.m. I wish they had mentioned that when I ordered the flowers, a week ago. The person who answered the phone didn’t offer any kind of apology or assurance that my flower order would be delivered. Just, «tough luck.» I think I will take my business elsewhere, next time. Too bad because I try to support small and local businesses.

I ordered flowers for my girlfriend a week in advance. My girlfriend took a picture of the flowers and sent them to me. I thought they looked a little out of arrangement. She brought them home from work and the smaller roses were already looking a bit wilty. I called the store and they said they would be happy to redeliver the flowers, but would require the old«arrangement». I said that would be somewhat inconvenient, but if you want those ugly flowers to sit at her business so customers can see what she got from your company that is alright by me. When they came to deliver the new flowers, my girlfriend forgot the arrangement at home, so their was some confusion. The owner of Le Grue’s got on the phone and started yelling at her receptionist. This company has no sense of customer service. I will never buy flowers from them again. I thought because they were in the neighborhood, it would be good business. I do not recommend this flower shop to anyone and will spread the word of their shortsightedness.

I can’t believe I’m the first to review this place because, especially around the holidays, the place is a madhouse. If you’re looking for anything Christmas/Winter wonderland — this is the place. The whole second floor looks like Santa threw up from November on. From simple little holiday tchochkes to elaborate hand blown European ornaments — you’ll find everything to turn your house into a holiday showplace. This time of year they are a very reputable florist and stock all manner for decorative items for your home. They excel in having probably the city’s largest selection of silk flowers. Just picked up a lovely spray of tiny orchids for $ 10 and with a little work, no one will ever suspect they aren’t real. Their designers are eager to help you if you’re artsy or do it for you if you’re not. It’s really one of a kind and you should check them out.
