Larimer Mission Gift Shop

Right across the way from Dream Gallery gifts I expected the same sort of deal.
This place specializes in Native American type jewelry, turquoise, topaz, and all.
As I walked in, the old Korean guy behind the counter came to his senses (you could tell this place had been empty for quite awhile) and showed me around, telling me that everything was half off today.
As I perused the selection, he made the smart move of asking who I was looking around for… seeing as how this was a jewelry shop, I say my girlfriend and then he makes the smart prosecutor move of placing the murder weapon into my hands (in this case some nice earrings for cheap).
Needless to say, I bought something from this place even though I wasn’t planning on it.
After the sale (importantly), he then asks me my age and tells me he has a son in the infantry in Iraq in broken-​accented English, that is also 23. In this sort of situation where a random stranger starts talking about their life suddenly it is easy to get dicey or annoying, but you could tell this guy was genuine and was deeply worried about his son (seeing as how Iraq is deteriorating to hell on earth). I really felt for the guy, seeing as how his heavy accent shows he is somewhat new to the US, and his only son was now fighting in a horrible quagmire of a war.
