I’m surprised this place only has a 3 star rating. My husband and I had a great, authentic Mexican meal here today. The queso funditio was one of the best we’ve ever had. The crisp on the cheese at the bottom was great and the chorizo was well blended and two perfectly grilled jalapeños was a great addition. I got a taco salad with ground beef and a chicken tostada. Both were very good. Chicken was seasoned well on the tostada and the taco salad was full of seasoned beef. My husband had the carne asada torta. It was huge and more than he could eat in one sitting. He skipped the fries and went with 3 crispy chicken tacos(might be why he couldn’t finish the torta). He left happy. Steak on the carne torta was grilled and seasoned perfectly. It they just would switch from coke to pepsi we couldn’t ask for a better meal. Service was good. We’ll definately be back!

There are a handful of Neighborhood Mexican restaurants in Broomfield and Westminster that get really busy on Friday nights. So, we went to one spot — they were on a wait — remembered this place and said what the heck. It’s not fancy, very plain really. It’s run by a family and service is friendly and quick. The margs at happy hour are huge and quite good. $ 4.50! I had a fancy marg too — also huge and good! That was $ 8! Chips, salsa and warm queso are complimentary and fresh. Carne Asada $ 11.95 and good — I prefer skirt steak but this was a thin ribeye. We will be back.

The Good: The food is always amazing. The Steak burrito smothered is a game changer. The staff is friendly and there is never a long wait, even when they are busy. This is a must stop restaurant if you are in the area. If you arent in the area, here is a good reason to be in that area! The Bad: They host sporting events on Pay-Per-View there so on those nights it can get a little loud and rowdy. Not your idea setting for a family meal. The Ugly: The layout is odd and the bathrooms are dimly lit. Dont watch any spiders in bathroom videos on YouTube before going there or you will be too worried to handle your business.

Nice family run service. Everyone was very pleasant and genuine. Hot green chile has an excellent kick, but I preferred the flavor of the mild chile. The hot chile had a smoky, almost burned flavor, but the spice was truly hot which is a nice treat. The crispy rellanos were delicious. The Steak Burrito Supreme, Steak Chimichanga, and Nacho Supreme were all tasty. Chips and salsa were good. I really like the flavor of the mild green chile. Hubby said it is just spicy enough. I will order it next time for the flavor, even though I don’t find it particularly spicy.

I don’t understand the negative comments on here… The restaurant is clean, the staff is always friendly, the portions are good and the price is average for Mexican restaurants in the area. The free chips and salsa also comes with a free side of queso. I really like the tamale plate. And the picture of an old Mexican lady smoking a doobie in the lobby is classic!

We were driving around trying to find a Mexican restaurant that was open for breakfast. We seen that was Lagunas was opened. When we walked in it was kind of dingy and little creepy, but we didn’t want to be rude so we tried it. After we have eaten we should of have left and went some where else. We were just disappointed in the quality and taste. I am a big fan of chilaquiles so that’s what I ordered and theses were horrible and I did not even eat half of them. My wife only ate half of her breakfast burrito cause it tasted weird. More than likely not going back. I had a convo with my cousin and explained we ate there and he said you should of asked me first cause I would of told you not to go there. You live and you learn!!!

So we haven’t tried this place in years because it was so bad before but thought we would give it a shot since our usual place was closed today. So we walked in and it was filthy. Dirty dishes all over the front area. We stood there for a couple of minutes and finally asked if we seat ourselves. The gal seemed very overwhelmed filling chip baskets and said give me a minute and left. That was all we needed and decided to walk out. We were grossed out and turned off before we were even seated. Won’t be back here again!

Service is fast and friendly. Server did not speak English well and did not give us the right order. Torta’s were a reasonable price however were not very good. It was mostly just fat.

Food was ok but, overpriced, I did like the queso with the chips though. Waitress was slow and rude, we won’t go back.

This place has gone to hell! It used to be quality. They served my wife and I undercooked pork, they refused to make it right and offer us something else, they refused to remove the charge from the bill as well. The server picked through my wife’s plate then handed it back. who does that shit? The manager didn’t even have the decency to come out and talk to us. Next morning, I was sick as hell. This place needs to be reported to authorities, not praised! Don’t waste your time people!

I like to start out with the positives: great margaritas! Everything else is a bit inconsistent. I’ve had amazing tamales and mediocre tamales. Great service and almost no service. It’s a gamble, but probably one worth making. Quite affordable(comparable to most Mexican restaurants in the area) and the best place right near by I have tried(but venture further south for better options if you’re picky about your Mexican food).

Food was pretty good but the service was horrible. Took a while to seat is, took even longer to order and no one ever checked on us while eating to see of we needed anything. Definitely not going back

CAUTION: BESURETODOUBLECHECKYOURRECEIPT!!! Don’t get me wrong this place has AWESOMEFOOD! Man. this was one of my favorite spots when visiting Colorado good food and nice people. But this passed Friday me and my coworker stopped by for happy hour 2−6pm. we ordered food and drink before happy hour ended like normal. the waitress came by before 6 to ask if we wanted to order 1 more before happy hour ended and we said yea, she ends up bringing the drinks later after 6 we think nothing of it and continue to eat. later when the bill came they charge full price for the drink we ordered before happy hour and said we ordered it to late. we then tell her that she was the one who asked us if we wanted to order before it was to late and she denied it. ONTOPOFTHAT. they waitress charged us for 6 customers which included gratuity, and when i questioned the waitress about it she told me that everyone is charged gratuity if its 1 or 20. I told her to run the receipt with ONLY2CUSTOMERS which was me and my co worker she sayed she couldn’t. Im and easy going person and rarely complain but the way they handled this was wrong and who knows how many people they’ve done this to, all i warn is DOUBLECHECKYOURRECEIPT!

This place is disgusting both inside and out. Embarrassing to have such a disappointment for Mexican in Denver. Took an out of town guest there knowing that most places around here know how to serve up some pretty decent cuisine but wouldn’t ya know it I chose the one place that had dirty bathrooms and food that tasted like it was cooked in one of the stalls.

I can’t believe I’ve lived up north for so long and have never been to Laguna’s. I liked this little place. I couldn’t decide between the carnitas tacos and the tacos al pastor — and my server made the right call when he offered to split an order for me. So I got to try both! And they were both delicious. Fresh ingredients — especially the avacado slices that came with my tacos were perfect — not too hard and not too soggy/soft. The pastor tacos were just the right amount of sweet; the carnitas, which are always my favorite, were a little dry but still had a nice flavor. The service was really friendly and swift. Next time I want to try their green chile and there was a beef filled chile relleno that sounded really interesting — on my «gotta try» list for a future visit. Overall, I would definitely go back!

Nothing to write home about. Good, not exceptional. I highly recommend Efrain’s in Boulder or La Fayette — true Mexican food. Anyhow, the greatest thing I found about this place was their nacho cheese they served with chips and salsa. That was a first! Since I love cheese, I couldn’t complain. Kudos! I ordered their carnitas plate. The pork, rice and beans were delicious but the sauce that the carnitas came in was horrible. Yuck! The sauce wasn’t a tomatillo sauce, but rather, a clumpy yellow green slim. Didn’t like it at all. I don’t know if I’ll be going there again.

Really, really good Mexican /New-Mexican food. I wouldn’t go specifically for the green chili, but the main dishes we had were great. The seafood was fresh, the tacos al-pastor were amazing and the pork was delicious. I would go here again in a heartbeat. Service was fast and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Full bar witha good selection of Tequillas. One negative… The sopapillas were disappointing. I would wait on desert for the DQ next door.
