This review is just for my engagement shoot, I’ll update it for my wedding later :)
Myrium is a GENIUS! I only had 1 hour to get my hair and makeup done for my shoot because of a time change with the photographer and Myrium was so accommodating! She brought in an assistant to work on hair last minute and they were able to finish my hair and makeup in under an hour. They gave me the look I wanted with the hair and made it even better than the picture and my makeup?! Oh my god it was amazing! I’ve posted some pictures so you can judge for yourself. The hair and makeup held up to the wind on the beach along the 17-​mile drive where my shoot was. She’s also super nice and professional, much more so than most other desi makeup artists I have worked with. She books up really quickly and has limited weekends here since she moved to Denver, so definitely plan ahead! Her pricing is reasonable for the product she creates — $ 300 for airbrushed makeup + hair for any event and $ 150 for regular makeup + hair. Keep in mind the fee goes up if she has to travel to you and may be subject to change based on the time of the year. I booked her for airbrushed makeup for everything and it’s 100% worth it.
I read some other reviews about her being difficult to get in touch with and was worried — not a problem for me at all! She’s been incredibly responsive, expect at least a 48 hour response time from any wedding vendor (can you imagine trying to respond to e-​mails while doing hair and makeup for a party?). I love working with Myrium and I cannot wait to see what magic her team creates for me and my wedding party on my wedding day!

Let me just start off by saying that Myrium did a decent job on my hair and makeup for my wedding day. But working with her was NOT worth the stress she put me and my fiancé through. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER.
Myrium has a large clientele and books tons of weddings and events. Thus being said, it was VERY difficult to get in touch with her and get simple things like a contract when asked. I had to ask on several occasions for a contract. I finally reached out to my wedding planner to try to wrangle it out of her. After about a month and a half, I finally got a ‘contract’. I use the term contract lightly since what she gave me was a photograph of the contract I filled out and her handwritten breakdown of the costs. This should have been the first sign of trouble.
Also, let me say that both my sister-​in-​law and I hired her for our weddings that were three weeks apart. We both told Myrium on multiple occasions that we were related. Each time we spoke to her, she couldn’t for the life of her remember who we were or that we were part of the same family. You would think that someone playing a HUGE role on your wedding day would at least try to get to know her clients or remember them.
During my trial, we DID NOT do a hair trial. I should have asked her to do one since I wasn’t entirely happy with the way my hair turned out for my reception. Again, this was a trial for a pretty big day in my life, it would have been nice to feel assured that I would not have to deal with planning my hair on the day of. As she did my make-​up during the trial, she made some comments about my eyebrows and said that I shouldn’t pluck them for a couple of weeks leading up to my wedding since she would thread them on the day of… okay, cool. I will get back to this point.
The week of my wedding, my planner had put together a VERY thorough schedule for myself, my family and friends, and ALL of my vendors. She sent them out and made sure that everyone had the most up to date schedule.
We were set to start hair and make-​up on the day of the wedding at 3:30AM for an 8:30AM start. My girls were awake and ready to start by 3:15AM and waited for Myrium and her girls to arrive. 3:30AM came and still no Myrium, I figured it was fine, but questioned that since I booked her at the SAME hotel we were staying at. After 15 minutes of waiting, I called my planner to see what the deal was. She called saying that Myrium and her team had drove to a DIFFERENT HOTEL 15 minutes away! When she finally arrived, 30 minutes late, she walked in huffing and puffing with her iPad out ready to show me the schedule my planner had sent her. I was LIVID at this point but wanted to see the excuse she would come up with. She ended up pulling up an OLD email, dated in MARCH (my wedding was in AUGUST), that gave the address of a hotel we had thought about booking for our stay. I know for a fact that Myrium was given the right schedule. She was just trying to cover up for her unorganization and lack of professionalism. I can’t believe she would blame her mistake on someone else rather than just own up to it. She did not apologize for this.
She had two other women working on my bridesmaids and mothers. She was supposed to have another girl with her but told me that the other girl was on her way to my mother-in-law’s house to do my MIL and SIL. I later found out that this girl did not show up for another hour! I have no idea what this other girl was doing during this time. She should have had her come to my room to help pick up the slack!
The girls on her team DID NOT know how to properly put in the tikka hair piece in my bridesmaids hair. We had to FORCE it into their finished hair when it should have been put in prior to starting. My girls were not that happy with the way their hair turned out. One of my girls has long hair and the girl that did her hair did not properly curl her hair. Instead of having curls all the way through her hair, she had straight pieces at the bottom! My SIL and MIL were also very unpleased with their hair because the girl did a REALLY rushed job. My SIL ended up redoing her hair herself for the reception. If more time was needed, Myrium should have properly scheduled the time. We wouldn’t have minded waking up earlier.
Throughout MY day, Myrium kept bitching about how she hates working with wedding planners and rather work with the bride directly. If you’re in the wedding industry, I would think you would know how to collaborate with other vendors. She also DID NOT thread my eyebrows. I had to pluck them myself after she left. She was also VERY pushy when it came to my hair. To make up for her earlier mistakes she tried complimenting me throughout the day, even saying she would have her magazine editor friend email me since we were having a fusion wedding and would probably want to feature us. No email was sent after our wedding.
I DO NOT recommend hiring her. You’ll be a forgotten name on her long list of other clients.

I made a Unilocal account to specifically write this review. I had my hair/​makeup done by Myrium and her assistant for 3 of my wedding events in September. The bottom line is that they are absolutely phenomenal! Not only is Myrium extremely talented, she is so easy to work with. Our ceremony ran late and I ended up having less than an hour between my ceremony and reception to completely change my hair/​makeup. I was SURE I’d be late. But to my and everyone else’s surprise… I was ready EARLY and had a totally new look for my reception. I was in shock. Not only is she extremely professional and skilled at what she does, Myrium is also so sweet and calm through the whole process, I honestly felt like I had a friend getting me ready and looked forward to seeing/​chatting with Myrium. I really have nothing but great things to say about her. I sometimes wish I could get married again just to have her get me ready again. I would highly recommend her! You won’t regret it!

I recently got married and hired Myrium to do both my hair and makeup. We did a trial for my makeup, but not my hair. So, on the day of the wedding, I had absolutely no idea what she was going to do with my hair. I have wavy, medium length hair, so it would have been hard to style. Well, I was beyond happy with both my hair and makeup. I got extensions for my hair and she basically curled it and did a side sweep which made everything look very elegant and sexy:) My makeup made my skin look like porcelain and my eyes really popped.
She helped me put on my outfit, dopota and all my jewelry. She called me on the morning of my wedding just to make sure I was doing okay, which did ease my nerves. While she was doing my hair and makeup, she was very friendly and very meticulous with her work.
I got SO many compliments on the day of my wedding and the makeup stayed on until midnight!
If you are a South Asian bride, definitely hire Myruim — she is very creative and really knows how to make your face look beautiful:)

I booked Myrium for my wedding and what can i say, she is phenomenal! she was extremely helpful throughout the process and became very creative. everyone complimented me on my make up and hair! she is one of the very few artists that does magic in such short amount of time. on the day of my wedding, she was able to get me ready before anyone else in my entire household did… whoever has heard of the bride being ready to go by 7am before everyone else?
i look forward to having my make up done for other occasions by her! :)

After seeing in person the beautiful work Myrium did on friends’ weddings, I knew I had to book her for my own wedding, and I was not disappointed! Myrium loves what she does and that love shows in every aspect of her work, from the makeup trial, to questions over the phone, to the day of the event itself. Myrium did my engagement/​sangeet, wedding day and reception makeup. I wish I had more events where she could do my hair and makeup cause I felt like the prettiest girl in the world at every single event.
I do not like makeup on me, but with her makeup it did not feel cloggy or heavy. I had another makeup trial where the makeup looked greasy and oily and my entire family did not like the overall look. My sister never likes makeup on me — after Myrium’s trial, my sister gave an overwhelming nod of approval, and if anyone knows my sister, thats a big deal. One reason why I even had trials with other makeup artists was Myrium could only do my reception makeup very early in the day, and I was concerned the makeup would melt or not stay. Let me tell you, Myrium’s makeup will stay put the entire event, so there is no need for concern!
Also, one of my lenghas was delivered from India, and the blouse was way too short. I did not want too much skin showing, so Myrium styled my lengha as a sari and it looked incredible — some guests even thought it was a sari, or some new style from Delhi! The style looked amazing, and I felt comfortable with the dupatta draping hiding the much too short blouse.
Myrium is a beautiful artist, and a beautiful person on the inside as well. My wedding day was chaotic, and she definitely helped calm me down. She was equally calming on the day of the Reception, and my mom, sister, and good friend from Canada cannot thank or praise her enough for helping us get ready.
You will not go wrong with booking Myrium — do not second guess it, just do it!

Myrium is one of the most talented make up artists and good hearted people I have ever met! Myrium did my makeup and hair for my wedding and reception. We had a trial and a styling appointment beforehand, where I described the look I was going for, and she gave many useful tips and suggestions on how we can achieve it.
Fast forward to the wedding day– Myrium was very punctual. We had organized for her to bring 2 assistants along to do my family members’ hair and makeup, however one of the assistants did not show as her car broke down. Myrium was very apologetic and made sure that she and the other assistant got everybody ready on time.
Myrium made me look like a princess on my wedding day, and kept me so calm while she was working on my hair and makeup. I was stunned at the outcome, and everyone could not stop complimenting my subtle yet striking bridal makeup and beautiful updo for the morning ceremony. I had one hour between the wedding ceremony and reception for Myrium to completely change my look– she re-​did my hair and makeup quickly and efficiently, and gave me a totally new dazzling look for the evening.
I do not have enough good things to say about my experience with her– she is AMAZING. I consider her one of my best wedding vendors. If you are looking for a reliable and professional make up artist who is also great to talk to, I HIGHLY recommend Myrium.

Myrium not only has the top notch skills for a make up artist, she is also very professional. She knows how to handle her clients and is always on time. At my wedding, I was very nervous and requested to start getting ready a bit early. She was on time and throughout the morning she calmed by nervous just by talking to me. As of makeup and hair, I loved her work and will go always back to her for any upcoming occasion.
She is one of the best in the bay area!!!

Myrium did makeup for my fiancée (now my wife). She is great in communicating and made my wife feel very comfortable and relaxed. Myrium first scheduled a trial make-​up session to go over my wife’s likes and dislikes. She looked at my wife’s wedding dress and gave suggestions accordingly.
She is very nice to talk to and gives a 110% to the task at hand. Many of the guests loved the make-​up and they still do. I definitely recommend her.

Only person i can trust when i need to get my make up and hair done is Myrium she is awesome. I can not trust anyone else beside Myrium. Every time she makes me look very beautiful. I very lucky to find her and she is also very sweet person to talk very friendly :)

Myrium is the best! her makeup is on-​point and on each of my wedding events she made me look absoultely stunning. I’ve recommended her to everyone I know who’s getting married. She is very talented and creative in creating a different look each time her make up is exotic and vibrant in style. I recieved so many compliments throughout my wedding on how beautiful I looked.

Myrium transforms you and enhances all your features. I got so many compliments on how I looked for my wedding and reception and it was because of her! I personally am very critical with makeup, and do makeup on others for fun, so I am really picky. But Myrium goes beyond my expertise and satisfaction. If you have a certain vision of how you want to look, describe it to her and she’ll create that plus more.

I looked like a goddess (literally, that’s what my husband said) on my wedding day and it was all due to Myrium.
I chose to have a destination wedding (I’m from NJ originally and was living in Denver while I was planning my wedding) in Sonoma. While I know the wineries really well, I really had no experience with any other types of local vendors. My long search led me to Myrium and I could tell that, from speaking to her and poring over her website, she was the best option for me.
I had ideas in my head but Myrium came up with her own once she met me. She did a great job explaining everything to me during the trial (& tactfully steering me away from what I was thinking) and showed me some sample looks. Everything translated perfectly on the big day.
The pricing was fair and oh-​so-​worth it. It was a perfect day and I really looked wonderful, if I do say so myself. Thank you so much Myrium for your professionalism and expertise!

I am telling you hands down she is the BEST makeup artist in the Bay Area (and surrounding vicinity)
When it came to hair and makeup for my wedding I knew what I wanted. to look like the best me i could be.
I did a lot of research online about makeup artists in the bay area and decided that there were a few that sounded like they really knew what they were doing, and so I figured I should give them all a try.
I booked trials (on the same day) just to be able to compare and pick the best.
My fiancé (now husband) came along with me for my trials.
I had some disappointing experiences that day, and then we went to see Myrium. Right off the bat my husband was «hands down you need to have Myrium do your makeup on the day of the wedding»
Not only did he love her work (which says a lot) I was completely impressed as well.
Do yourself a favor and have a trial done by her if your looking for a makeup artist for your wedding, I promise you will not be disappointed.
Her and her team are super friendly and professional as well which is a big plus.
She def. knows how to give you that flawless look every bride is looking for on their big day.

As a girl who doesn’t wear much makeup, I was nervous about my wedding day. I booked Myrium after reviewing several friends’ makeup whom she had done. I am thankful. Myrium is awesome and a very sweet and classy lady.
I had six bridesmaids and a mom who had very different styles and each was particular in how they wanted to look. Myrium adjusted to each person accordingly, allowing everyone to represent their style but in a gorgeous way.
I had a church wedding followed by an Indian reception so the makeup went from natural to more dramatic. Myrium totally delivered in a VERY short period of time. We had about 30 minutes to change clothes, makeup, and hair for the reception and she pulled it off. She even helped me drape my dupatta, which I had no idea how to do.
Myrium is professional, talented and most importantly, very sweet. She knows how to deal with frantic brides and bridesmaids with a smile and will fix /​adjust makeup and hair until you are satisfied. I highly recommend her.

I was excited to get my hair and make up done by someone who knows how to create and be spontaneous. I came accross myrium’s portfolio and it was lovely. so I scheduled an appointment. The day finally came and it was time to have the make up and hair done. Well at first the eyeshadow looked amazing but I really didnt like how she applied the foundation. Then the hair. I wanted a similar hairstyle pic I chose from a website. I can say that my hair didn’t not even turn out near that picture. By the time I arrived at church, my boyfriend did not even say how beautiful I turned out. He asked if I did the make up and hair myself because he thought I would have my hair done professionally. He said nothing. My mother was there and she laughed at me! I wanted to look picture perfect but I turned out the same as all the guests did. My curls did not stay and my hair got tangled! I wanted to cry soo bad! Worst of all. my fake eyelash came out! I was so embarrassed! I was upset! No wonder it sounded to good to be true! ;0(Very disapointed!

God, now that my wedding is over and I am going over the photo’s my photographer sent me, I have to say, I looked quite stunning and it is all thanks to Myrium. She did my makeup for my engagement session, wedding, and reception, and every event I looked amazing and flawless.
Like the other lovely ladies have stated, your hair and makeup and how you are styled can make or break your outfit. Myrium knows this and uses her vast knowledge to make sure you look amazing on your special day! Every girl wants to look and feel like a princess on her wedding day, and Myrium sure delivers!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. so why would you risk it on the most important day of your life when you have 300+ sets of eyes looking at you!
I got married July 16, 2011 and like so many brides, I was trying to keep each and every cost minimal but when I met Myrium, it seemed my budget had a sudden growth spurt! Her work is seriously one of a kind! Not to mention, she is a very sweet person who loves and takes her work very professional.
I would recommend her services in a heartbeat without any hesitancy because aside from the numerous compliments I received from my guests that night, there is no words to explain how confident/​beautiful I felt inside…

I booked Myrium for my wedding this past weekend and think it was the best decision I ever made.
I initially found out about her 4 years ago when she did my friend’s wedding. When it came time for me to get married I looked around and realized there was no one else who could do what she does.
Firstly, she is amazing at doing the natural but gorgeous wedding look. At my trial I told her exactly what I was looking for and she knew right away how to do it. My girlfriends could not stop talking about all the looks she did for me. As another reviewer pointed out, I had a different look for all 4 of my events! I had a Chinese tea ceremony after my Sikh wedding and she even did my make up and hair a bit differently for that event! She’s phenomenal at doing eyes, I felt like a movie star! I danced all night long at my sangeet and reception and my make up looked flawless at the end of the night.
She doesn’t use any over the counter make up. I have super sensitive skin and I never broke out or had any allergic reactions. The make up she uses feels SO light on the skin I forgot I had any on! She really listens to what her clients want and goes above and beyond for them.
She’s also really good at helping set up your clothes and even helped tie my friend’s sari right before reception!
Here’s the thing, you can find make up artists anywhere, but to find a quality one is really hard. The icing on the cake is that she’s one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet which is really important on the biggest day of your life. I know I will use her for all my events here on out and I’ve already recommended her to all my friends.

I am glad I booked Myrium almost 1 year in advance for my wedding day for the following reasons:
* She knows how to do make up AND hair!
* Unlike some other makeup vendors, she ACTUALLY knows how to do beautiful eye and face make up.
* She can contour your face to make it look more sharp and defined.
* She focuses on the whole look instead of only focusing on the eyes.
* I had 3 wedding events; Hindu Wedding, Sikh Wedding, and Reception. For all of the events, I had a different look. All of them were equally amazing.
* The make up she uses is amazing! It survived through extreme heat, sweat, and tears! In pictures, your skin will look absolutely fabulous. My skin is quite sensitive. However, even after having a lot of make up on, a few days after my events my skin was still the same.
* She is extremely sweet and fun to talk to. I was quite nervous and sick of family! It was refreshing and almost therapeutic to go have my makeup done by Myrium.
* I really like makeup and know how to apply it nicely to some extent. Every time I have gotten my makeup done elsewhere, the makeup artist does not do the best job. Myrium is the ONLY makeup artist that has made me look beautiful! And I can confidently say that without being conceited because I received so many compliments.
Lastly, I initially felt guilty for spending so much on getting my makeup done. After everything was done, I was extremely satisfied! I think this is the best investment I made during the wedding. Your outfit can be fabulous, but if your makeup is awful, then it will ruin your whole look. You should definitely book Myrium! She is simply great!
