Do you like feeling good in your body heart and mind? Do you want to get more balance, strength, and personal power? Do you want to be more grounded, calm, centered?
Yes? Me too. I’m practicing Kung Fu to get those things and I’d love for you to join me.
Kung Fu literally means hard work and practice put forth to cultivate one’s art. Art, being what you like to do. So if you like to move your body, fluidly, and with intention toward growing the good feeling inside you, try Kung Fu.
Kwan Yin is the Goddess of Compassion. My intention is to balance the yin with the yang, creating a safe space for practitioners to explore a heart-centered approach to some of the most deadly self-defense techniques known. I provide instruction in application of movements, so I show you how to do it and why. I emphasize energy sensitivity as well as moving the body as a connected whole. Whether seasoned or new to the art, with bodies young or old, my classes are for those seeking a path to better health.
History
Established in 2012.
The classes I teach follow what I have learned from my sifu, Master Sing Chui, whose lineage connects back to Yue Fei (1103 – 1142 bc), the creator of the 108 Hands style that evolved into Eagle Claw. Master Chui is a closed-door disciple of Master Zhang Zhan Ming. He immigrated to the US from China in 1992, and has continued teaching Kung Fu to a dedicated group of practitioners that has grown each year. Master Chui began teaching in 1968. After the Cultural Revolution, he taught at Jinan University where he spent twelve years as head Kung Fu sifu. He is the vice president of the Eagle Claw Association in Guan Zhou, and is a member of the Guan Zhou Martial Art Association. Several of those who studied with him are now well-known Kung Fu teachers themselves in Guan Zhou and Hong Kong.

I have been studying under Master Sing Chui since 2007. I love Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. I love to share my Kung Fu with others. Teaching Kung Fu makes me a better student. I look at those who wish to learn from me and I revel in learning more about my art from them. I listen to my students and respond by working on what will benefit them most. If any of this sounds good, come see if you like the way Kung Fu feels.
