I use a lot of shipping supplies and this place nearly always has what I need. They’re friendly and attentive, too.

I have come to them for every move I’ve made since 2002. I’ve been a renter in Denver for all those years. I’ve moved a lot and become good at it. Box and Barrel has always had everything I need at great prices, and in one place. I also find the staff friendly, genuine, and helpful.

I called this company today and 10:12 AM and was inquiring about barrels for our non-​profit as we are getting ready to launch our fall food drive in conjunction with AARP and Pet Smart. The lady that answered the phone was very unhelpful. She kept stating that they have already donated their limit on barrels this year unfortunately for them we were looking to buy barrels. I can’t say how disappointed I am in this business and their customer service.

My husband and I recently moved to Colorado from Texas. We had professional movers who packed for us and when the unpacking dust cleared, we had more packing paper and boxes than we knew what to do with! I wanted to hold onto a few of the sturdy packing boxes for storing things at home, but we definitely didn’t need hundreds of boxes lying around! We took the packing paper to a recycling bin, but still needed to haul off the boxes. Johnson Box & Barrel will purchase once used movers boxes (they have to be boxes from a moving company) for .25 cents to $ 2.00 each depending on the size of the box. We filled up our cars and dropped off our boxes, leaving with enough cash to treat ourselves to a dinner out!
If you are on the moving end, Johnson Box has extremely affordable boxes for sale. They’ve only been used once, so they are in great shape, but will spare your pocketbook the sticker shock of new boxes from Uhaul or a moving company.
Johnson Box is family owned and the husband and wife team were a pleasure to work with. They assisted us in unloading our boxes with friendly chat and a smile. Their genuine desire to help people ship or move by providing an affordable option for boxes was apparent. I would highly recommend Johnson Box.

Moving, organizing or just need a big box to mail Christmas gifts? Johnson Box & Barrel is the place to go. We have frequented this place on several occasions including moving from two houses into one, boxing up all of our books to turn our office into a guest room when our son arrived and getting a box to ship rugs back to LL Bean. Every time we go, we find exactly what we need for half the cost of a moving supply company or local postal store. They also sell moving supplies like paper wrap and packing tape.
In addition to selling boxes, they also buy them back. I am not 100% sure of how the buy back works, but give them a call and they will explain the process.
The staff is always very helpful and can usually help you find the exact size box that you are looking for.
