Hot Tips Nails and Spa

They always do such a great job! I won’t go anywhere else. They get busy but always seem to have room. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get in for an unscheduled pedi or mani.

My sisters and I came here for a pedicure this evening. It was an excellent experience – very clean, a thorough pedicure, and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended!

My nails look nice, but I asked for powder gel full set and she gave me acrylic. She lied and told me it was gel powder but it isn’t. So I paid for a service I didn’t even get. I won’t be going back.

I go here consistently for my shellac mani; not just because it’s close to home, but for the service and quality. The staff are kind and many of them speak English. They have a rewards program as well.

Probably going to be my go to place. I just moved to the area from Portland, Oregon and I have been struggling to find a good nail place close by. I’ve been to a couple in the area and they are all average, and don’t do the best job. Anyone who gets gel/​shellac knows it’s a long shot to have all ten nails chip free for 2 weeks. That really is a tall order, but gel chipping within 4 days or so is really unacceptable in my opinion and that’s what I’ve been getting at these other lackluster places. So I decided to try Hot Tip hoping I had found a winner and I have. The place is a little nicer than the other places, which I really appreciate. A nail salon is a nail salon I guess but I appreciate when they put a little effort into sprucing the place up. Hot Tip looks like they actually care about how it looks in there! On top of that they do a good job. It will be two weeks in two days and my nails have held up surprisingly well. I’ve got like one chip out of ten… that’s a great ratio! They still look nice nearly two weeks later! That’s what really seals the deal for me! If you are going to spend 30 bucks on nails every 2 – 3 weeks plus tip they should actually last and look presentable! Thank you hot tip for being a great place right down the street from me so I have a go to nail salon!

I came in to Hot Nails Nails and got the best manicure and pedicure ever. Nikki took care me great. I wish this shop was back in California because i would always return back to this nail salon. They have great workers and great service and they’re really nice people. I totally recommend this if you’re in Denver, CO. Just ask for Nikki!

I used to go here regularly for gel manis every 2 weeks, but the service and quality really started going downhill so I had to find a new nail shop. I felt like they were in a huge rush to get me in and out and the quality the last few visits was really poor. Based on the other reviews I just read I am not alone.
Also, if you go to a nail shop every 2 weeks for an entire year wouldn’t you think at least 1 employee would know your name? Or ask your name? Nope, it was like I was a complete stranger. Just sign in and pick a color. No thanks, I’m done.

Came in as a drop in for a mani/​pedi — for $ 35 for both, they did a great job. The place is super clean and the staff is nice. Pedicure was much better than the mani; the mani was butchered a bit as the girl cut my nails waaaaaay too short (but that’s probably my fault for not communicating that better). Overall, solid!

In town for a few days and needed a mani/​pedi. I found Hot Tips on Unilocal and they are OK.
When I walked in with my friend – I cannot say that the welcome was warm… but my manicurist was very nice, she did a far better job on my pedicure – which I am very happy with. The manicure was lacking when it came to trimming my cuticles. They were just kind of grazed over, passable but nothing exceptional. Also, I had to let my manicurist know I wanted all of my nails to be the same length/​even. This is kind of a given to me… but maybe other women like uneven nails? Anyhow, overall they got the job done. Not so friendly welcome, mani’s not so great. Excellent pedi:)

I’ve been going to hot tip nails for two years now I follow the owner Nikki from another salon since I’ve been going to the new place I’ve seen a few of the nails techs they’ve all been wonderful and very professional and very good at what they do!!! The salon is immaculate and extremely comfortable !! Chi is my nail tech now & does an amazing job!!!

Great place to go to if you love shellac/​gel manicure! I came here for the first time and made an appointment… and they got started the second I walked in. The staff is very kind and friendly. The person who did my nails paid a lot of attention to detail and made sure my nails looked PERFECT. The shape and quality and coat on my nails were as good as it gets. Their salon was very clean as well. Will definitely come back!

This place is awesome! Phoenix who does my nails is very good I have had my shellac for over a month and it has not chipped! Still looks great. Very busy but worth it

Though the pedicure was great, I got a horrible plantar wart from the salon. I won’t be back. :(

HORRIBLE! my nails were the worst they have ever been in my entire life! The actual manager (Kim I believe) did my nails and she rushed thru the whole process. She missed several spots, acrylic was missing. It was just a horrible experience! This was my first and LAST time trusting these people with my nails. I was so disappointed. I was better off taking my $ 30 and literally flushing them down the toilet…

I have been going to Hot Tips for shellac manicures for the last few months and overall I am very happy with there service. The location is convenient, clean and inviting. The prices are good and I appreciate the three different tiers of pedicure.
My only note would be that the quality can greatly vary based on who you get. I have loved working with Nicki (the owner), Chi, and Ann. I would recommend requesting one of them if you are going there!

I’ve gone to Hot Tips off and on for about a year now. The business there seems to continue to grow, because each time I come in there are more and more people in there getting manis and pedis.
All in all, I like this nail salon. I would like it better if it wasn’t so busy, but I don’t think that’s necessarily the salons fault. I’ve made an appointment in the past, and it didn’t seem to make a difference on whether or not there was a seat available for me when I arrived for my appointment. I think the availability is based on how many people are in there at the time. They do move people through pretty quickly, too, which could be either good or bad depending on how you want to look at it.
The manis and pedis that I’ve had from here have been good. They last too. Also, they give you a stamp card for each time you come in. Once you get 10 stamps, you get some money off your next visit. Which, now that I’m typing this, is probably why I keep going!

I’ve been coming here for around 6 months and it just keeps getting worse. The service is always rushed, even on slow days. The owner is friendly, but her great customer service goes unnoticed when her nail techs do a terrible job.
I just had to ask a technician 3 times to file my nails so they weren’t so jagged… her response, «your nails are short» to which I replied «that doesn’t mean they can’t be straight!» The manicure and pedicure aways look half assed.
I’ve spent a lot of money here and my mom and I have spent even more on generously tipping these girls. I won’t be returning when I’m in Denver.

My girlfriend and I went here yesterday after reading all the other glowing reviews! She got a regular mani, and I got a gel full set and designs.
I came in with a picture from Instagram of the shape and design I wanted. Emily, my nail tech, WAS AMAZING! She shaped my nails perfectly, paying close attention to every little detail from the pictures. She executed the design I wanted perfectly (see pics). She also cut my cuticles, and she gave me an unnecessary but totally appreciated 10 second hand massage at the end. It ended up being 65 dollars for the full set because of shellac-​a bit pricey :(
I’ll be going to Emily from now on, and highly recommend her to anyone else who is looking for good nail tech. She is great, and can do tons of designs.

I gave this place a chance when my regular spot was too crowded and will not go back.
The salon itself it new and clean. They offered me something to drink, the staff was friendly, and the experience at the salon was good. My issue is with the manicure itself.
I drove from the salon to the airport and noticed a small chip right away. I was going out of town and wasn’t able to go back to have it fixed. By the end of the day, the small chipped turned to a huge chunk of polish gone. It catches on everything and drives me nuts.
It’s since been 9 days and the polish on the edges of multiple nails are beginning to lift up and will soon peel off. My normal manicure lasts up to 21 days and I have to get the polish taken off because it’s grown out so much.
$ 30 for shellac is pretty standard, though I’ve been to places who charge $ 25 or even less. But, for $ 30, I want it to last at least two weeks.
Overall, I was disappointed and won’t go back.

So, there is a definite difference between something being cheap, and something providing good value for the cost. In my opinion, Hot Tips falls firmly into the later category. I popped in for a standard spa pedi around lunch time. They were not that busy and I had zero wait time before I was in the chair starting my pedi-​adventure (thus demonstrating that they do indeed welcome walk-​ins). The young lady who was helping me this day was pleasant, with minimal chit-​chat. This was fine with me. The massage chair was very new and quite comfortable. I frequently just leave them turned off, as I find many to be more irritating than relaxing. This one was nice enough to almost put me to sleep.
The entire pedi (from nails, to salt scrub, to massage, to hot stones) was thorough, efficient, and enjoyable. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. This seemed close to perfect, as I neither felt rushed, nor that it was taking overly long.
As I paid my bill, they provided me with a «buy 10 and get 1 free» card. Somehow, even though it will be a while in the making, I think I will actually be cashing this in.
