Holiday Inn Express & Suites Denver Airport

Super clean !! And comfortable. Friendly in person not so much on the phone. But maybe she was busy was a last minute stay due to weather so pleasantly surprised.

I’m partial to HiEx and this one is my favorite thus far. I’ve stayed here four years in a row. The photo is the stunning view from the room as the sun was rising.
This location is a busy one but it has excellent access (including a free shuttle) to and from DEN.
Overall, I love this hotel chain. The rooms are consistently stylish and well appointed, and the breakfasts for no additional fee are good.

I’m very surprised, but Holiday Inn isn’t bad at all! I’m a Marriott and Hilton fan, in that order, and hardly consider the Holiday Inn line. However, I just needed a place to sleep that was super close to the airport for an early flight out of Denver the next morning.
The hotel is basic, but I was pleasantly surprised by the room — very spacious, high ceilings, updated furniture and the beds were soo sooooo comfortable. The bathroom wasn’t updated, but whatever, The place was clean and just what I needed for a quick stay. Breakfast, though basic, was nice to have in the morning.
Now the gripes: despite being right next to the airport, the sprawling nature of the Denver airport means this was a 7-​mile/​10-​minute ride from the terminal. The shuttles come only every 30 minutes, which means I waited for 20 minutes before getting into one. There are a ton of shuttles so make sure you ask and get in the right one. After dropping my car rental off, taking the car rental shuttle to the airport, waiting for the hotel shuttle, and then getting to the hotel, I was kind of over it. It’s not a quick trip — so save yourself some headache and grab a cab with some other guests if it’s insane. I heard the driver say during the winter there were like 300 people waiting for shuttles and it was snowing so it was madness because there were mobs coming at the shuttle. Yikes.
There’s free wifi, but the staffer at the front just gave me my key and sent me along my way so I had to call back and ask about it. Sigh. Oh well, what do you expect. It’s Holiday Inn EXPRESS haha.

I stayed here recently. The room I was assigned to was really nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I fell asleep very well because of it. They also have free shuttle to and from the airport which is a plus in my book. The breakfast was good. One thing about the breakfast: BAD COFFEE! This coffee looked like TEA. Either the person who makes this coffee hates it or this Holiday Inn Express is trying to save money by making coffee flavored water because that’s what this was. The other wrinkle I encountered was that I received a wake-​up call at 5 a.m. when I didn’t request it. I was suddenly awaken and later couldn’t go back to sleep because of this. Later in the morning I went over to the front desk and told the attendant (named Michael) about this and he acknowledged this happened but did not apologize for the error. I know stuff happens but it would’ve been helpful to have seen «Michael» cared by simply apologizing. I really would’ve given 5 stars to this HIE had these two incidents not happened.

Though the rooms were good looking. I noticed settled dust on the lamps, just showing that they had been superficially cleaned. The website advertises a free 24 hour shuttle to the airport but when we asked for a ride, we were told we had to make a reservation. We asked for the reservation and were told that we would have to go at 5 in the morning as the shuttle we wanted was completely reserved.

Outstanding in every single way. We stayed in Colorado for over a week at three different locations including some competitors but this was by far the best.
The room was great and the staff was even better. They really understood what it was like to be traveling with small kids.
Thank you so so so much! This is now our third stay at a Holiday Inn Express and we are customers from here on out. It will be our first place we search for.

Long check in due to overly friendly front desk person who was a bit chatty. 3am my time. I just want key to room. Thanks.
Room carpet was entirely wet due to steam cleaning (I assume?) they need to make sure to allow time to dry after a wet cleaning. Complained to front desk. They had no other room and did not offer any comp. bad form. Free breakfast. Free wifi.2,5 stars. Hm. Will probably look for other similar priced hotels at DEN next trip.

Once I got to the hotel, it was very nice, room was clean and large. I only gave 3 stars because, I had to wait 45 min at the airport waiting on the shuttle in the cold and no Holiday Inn Express Sticker on van so I almost missed it… GET A STICKER ON YOUR VAN PLEASE. Lastly, I was on floor 3 and the (elephants) staying above me where having a stomp the yard party, its 11:30… I called the front desk an hour ago and asked them to address the elephants upstairs, she said she would… Based on the elephant dance still going on upstairs. She never did a thing! Listen to your customers… We pay your bills

Great hotel, friendly front desk. Didn’t like getting 2 phone calls in a row asking if we were staying longer. Also, asked to be on a shuttle at 5:30 that day but they drove past me, and got a wake up call the next morning at 5:30am instead :/

Had a layover in Denver and the flight was canceled/​delayed so I ended up having to stay overnight. There is some issue in the contact number of the Holiday Inn property and what Unilocal provides. In any case, the front desk was friendly and even gave me bathroom supplies. However, she did not greet me as an IHG member. I don’t care about it but it was a question in the survey so I thought I’d mention it. The place did not smell of smoke at all. The room that I had was clean and felt very comfortable. They even had a hair dryer in the bathroom. Some places you have to either request for one or bring your own. The bed was excellent and I had no problems falling asleep. I prefer my pillows to be on the stiffer side so their pillows didn’t work as well for me but at least I did not get any neck tenderness in the morning.
What I didn’t like was the shower head. It was loose and I couldn’t adjust it to my liking. Another thing was the internet. It kept kicking me off and even when I was on, websites loaded very slowly. I could barely open gmail! For the night that I was there, the wireless internet was not usable.
There was quite a bit of variety for breakfast and luckily they had the cinnamon rolls out even at 5am! There was no other hot foods around but I was able to get a cup of yogurt on the go.
I would not mind coming here again at a discounted rate. Regular price for this place is not worth it.
One interesting thing to point out is that the Holiday Inn is located on the front property and the Express in the back. Weird to have them so close to each other.

I was VERY surprised!!! We stayed there for one (short) night before we left for New York from DIA. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful… especially considering that we arrived at midnight. I had to leave my car, and I was expecting to have to drive to a commercial lot, when they said they offered parking and a free shuttle for 5.00 a day!!! I paid 8.00 for 1 hour and 8 mins at the airport picking up my best friend earlier that evening, so this was definitely a deal!!! And a free shuttle down stairs at 5:00 am (we didn’t plan the New York portion of our trip… sadists did), so I didn’t have to try to navigate to a parking lot in the dark in the middle of nowhere WITHOUT coffee!!! This was fantastic. My car was prefect when I cell back. I even had to call from the airport and ask the front desk (Mike) to check if I had locked my car bc I panicked (not something you could do at a random lot). Oh, and the room was VERY clean (I’m a germaphobe) and beds were comfy… even if our relationship was too short. I can’t comment on the free Breakfast… because the afore mentioned sadists made us leave before the hot portion was out, and it was too early for my brain to manage to even pour coffee! :/​All in all, it’s my new favorite hotel that’s close to the airport. We actually have to DRIVE 4.5 hours to the airport from where we live now (originally from Southern Ca), so it’s nice to drive in the night before, stay and not rush like crazy people!!! The staff really made this a fantastic experience! Thank you!!! :)

Although hotel is nice and deserve higher rank in the review, experience how front desk handled situation with shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel deserve not more than one star. For over 50 min, on outside temperature below 20, front desk was giving to us wrong information. Routine respond was «in 10min». Upon arrival their attitude was «I don’t care», «talk to shuttle driver».
Sporting News Grill located in the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Service was excellent, and quality of food above average.

It’s hard to give a review for this place. I stay here quite a bit and have status as a priority member. Love love love when «M» is handing my reservation. He recognizes me, is polite, goes out of his way to help, and ALWAYS is charming and happy. He deserves a raise. He is consistent and makes sure I’m comfortable.

«D» is the opposite. Complicates matters and is never helpful. In the middle of «helping me» she stepped away to discuss an issue with the shuttle driver and Didn’t say why or if she was done with my transaction.

I work in customer service. I understand my standards are high. But I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want to not be treated like I’m not a hassle or a burden.
However, I will happily come back because M makes up for everyone else.

After being stranded in Denver, found this hotel to be very clean, the rooms completely comfortable, and the staff quite accommodating! I became a Holiday inn fan after my experience.

Short stay here after we arrived at the Denver airport so I really can ‘t review some of the amenities.
What I can tell you is that the shuttle policy is a bit silly. My husband booked this for us since he missed his connection in Chicago and he would not arrive to meet us in Denver until the following morning. No problem — shuttle runs every 15 minutes, just call We arrived just as the full shuttle was leaving apparently. I called as soon as we started walking to baggage. The front desk said I would need to call when we actually had our bags «so she can tell the driver how many people we would have». Hm. Provided I don’t lose any kids between here and baggage, I already know that. So, 3 minutes later, I call back, bags in hand. The shuttle will be back for us in 20 minutes. Go wait outside. 39 minutes later, the shuttle arrived with exactly 3 spots left. One in the front with the driver. Check in was easy, the front desk lady turned out to be super nice. But I had to ding 2 stars for making me wait in the cold with 2 whining, arguing children in the cold Denver night.

Nice hotel, convenient to airport, and the free breakfast made getting on the road quick and easy the next day.
Room was extremely clean and got the job done.

Brand new hotel… there’s not much more to say. Its hard to have a bad experience when everything is new
