Highlands Church

Wow! I’ve been a part of Highlands Church now for almost five years. It’s been such a great experience overall. I think the best part of my week are the great sermons by Mark and Jenny and others, all done with Biblical concern for accuracy, well mixed with grace and practicality. And I love the weekly communion (Eucharist) offered to everyone. Thanks for making me feel so at home!

It is 4 years later and I still see myself deeply immersed in this community and the growth of my faith. There are days I can sneak into the service, not speak with anyone and receive so much. There are other days where I can walk into the door and be greeted by friends that embrace me in loving arms (almost more warmly than my own family) and take a genuine interest in my life where it is now. They challenge me, celebrate with me, and invite me to do the same for them. This is the church equivalent to the TV bar «Cheers» and I the charismatic Woody.

All I can say to review Highlands is that I have searched 25 years for this community. It’s about love here, and in that I find Jesus.

I have searched and searched to find a church like this! I share it with everyone I know. It is a place that is warm and welcoming and God centered, regardless of who you are or where you might be in a life stage. They completely practice what they preach. Haven’t missed a Sunday since I found them :)

Never have I felt so at home at a church. All you need is to read their ethos:
Married, divorced or single here, it’s one family that mingles here.
Conservative or liberal here, we’ve all gotta give a little here.
Big or small here, there’s room for us all here.
Doubt or believe here, we all can receive here.
Gay or straight here, there’s no hate here
Woman or man here, everyone can here.
Whatever your race here, for all of us grace here.
Live and love without labels. Prepare to grow, laugh and love in the most real way. The world needs more of this.
Service is Sundays at 10:15AM, there’s a community hour and coffee starting at 9 where you can hear other’s stories. The first Sunday of every month there’s BBQs and Potlucks directly following service. Lots of opportunities to connect through the week as well! Great place.

New church that has a great mission statement. Really good message — awesome musical ministries. I have been looking for a church that is intelligent, thoughtful and without so much religious dogma. I feel pretty good about this church. Younger congregation with lots of singles and young families.
