My family has been members here for 20+ years. It has usually been our favorite place in the summer but this year’s guard staff is changing that. We have never been treated as rudely as we were this year on the Fourth of July. The guards were mean, rude, and just plain disrespectful. They ruined the day for us and we will be reconsidering our membership in the future.

HHST is a great neighborhood pool. It is the cheapest private pool in the area and a great value! There is a warm baby pool for the kids and a full size pool with a real deep end(10 feet). In addition, there is a sand volleyball court, sandboxes, a small playground, gas grills, and two tennis courts! The best part about this pool is the shaded grassy area. On family nights(Wednesdays and Sundays) it stays open until 9 pm, which gives everyone plenty of time to drink, eat, and be merry! There are swimming lessons and social events. The swim team, Hampden Heights Hurricanes, is fun for kids of all ages.

It’s not super fancy, but cozy and friendly. I grew up in this area and spent countless summers here teaching swim lessons, coaching, and lifeguarding. If you live nearby this area and are looking for a nice little summer club to join, Hampden Heights is perfect. There are regulars who have been coming here for generations and lots of little events from time to time. Kids can join the swim team and adults can go to the social events to mingle with neighbors. The pool has a swim team and lessons for swimming and tennis. Also, there are bbqs that you can use and a volleyball pit. Take advantage of this hidden gem if you can. Go Hurricanes!
