Westside Girl and the Kitchen Rocker attended the Golden Fine Art Festival this past Sunday after searing rains all weekend, a bit of sun bought out the crowds. Perused the food court which looked quite lame, and decided to experience the Golden dining scene. We immediately found Grabas, Med food right along main street with a super cool relaxing back deck along Clear Creek. The deck was the only highlight of the whole meal experience, although the art crowd spilled over into Grabas, they were’t very busy and service was turtle like slow pace. It took 10 minutes for basic contact, 15 more minutes to take our order. Then another 15 minutes to bring my bloody mary, which I found sitting on the bar melting into water.(got another one from bartender) We ordered pannini sandwiches with goat cheese, tomatoes, herbs, sounded great-horrible bread, almost biscuit like quality which fell apart in our hands. To make matters worse the insides were so thin I thought maybe they forgot the cheese! No one cared about our complaints, and guess they figure survival is going to happen with all the new lofts in Golden. Service-Steven King nightmares Food-go to Chipoltes, much better flavor Atmoshere-real cool deck on the North Side Price-way too much for the quality We crossed this place off our list permanently!
