Description

Specialties

Restaurant 1472 blends the flavors and selections of the Southern US and Colorado for a feel that is very unique, within the comfortable setting of Old Pearl Street. Both the dinner and brunch menus offer a wide variety of eclectic dishes sourced from sustainable producers and farms here locally in Colorado and as far away as New Orleans & Texas to provide authentic ingredients for a one-of-a-kind flavor composition.

With large serving portions, family recipes, house made dressings & sauces and house smoked meats, 1472 derives their cuisine from the traditions of the Carolina and Georgia coasts and inspired by the Caribbean and Cajun Louisiana. Locally raised Buffalo Ribeye steaks from Northern Colorado, Alligator Sausage from Louisiana, Wild Boar Ribs from Texas, Tiger Shrimp from the Gulf Coast… if that doesn’t piqué your interest, maybe the craft can and bottled beers, the local lineup of draft pours, numerous wine varietals and Lowcountry specialty cocktails will get your taste buds working.

History

Established in 2012.

1472 used to be a simple rental property that, over the span of 2+ years, was converted into a very comfy, casual restaurant space on Old South Pearl. 2 of the original restaurant owners converted the 2 bedroom house into a 100 seat eatery, complete with rooftop patio, double-sided full bar, street side patio and small beer garden. The patios are dog friendly, the drinks are made from fresh to order, all sauces are made from scratch and they smoke their own meats to create a homestyle of cooking that fits the Lowcountry building design and atmosphere
