This place is a-​ok! Like a cheaper ReStore, and a better organized Veteran’s GoGreen Warehouse (back when it was still around.) I love all the hand written signs everywhere. Kinda cute.
If you don’t mind mixing and matching, they have just what you need.

Look at this great front door! Only $ 200. and it’s a Thermatru. I wish I wouldn’t have just bought a new Thermatru back door at Home D ’ Peau, for a sickeningly higher price. All the extra money could have been spent on fun stuff, like a limo for Halloween.

Got what I was looking for and then some. I am finishing my garage and wanted to put cabinets up and build a workbench, BINGO, Extra Building Materials had matching cabinets to complete the job. I also found some other stuff I would need or could use around the house! I’ll be back!

This is the spot for cheap high quality building materials. They have an extensive selection of parts, hardware, doors, and much more. The prices are great and the staff is very helpful. If you’re remodeling and need to save money come here.

Super helpful, incredible prices on what I was looking for, some other items weren’t as good price-​wise though, but great for windows, doors, cabinets, trim, skylights, etc. I was looking for lumber and found some incredible deals, but their lumber selection was pretty small.

hands down the WORST experience I have had. A gray haired lady very rude, bad attitude. unwilling to help, even insulting people. charging retail prices in a surplus store WOW someone needs to understand business.

This is, hands down, the best surplus building materials store in the DMA. It has any and everything, to include very helpful people working there.
Like any store of this type, you have to be patient and check back often. They don’t mind taking phone call inquiries about what they have on-​hand.
I hate to write this review, as I don’t want the place to be swarmed with people but I also have to tip my hat to Extras.
Anyone know where I can find 1000sqft of 2 ¼″ x ¾″ T&G oak flooring?

Amazing, awesome, rocks! If you like to tinker around the house or have projects to do, this place is fantastic. I just bought rough cut douglas fir, 1×6×12 for a buck a foot! The boards were straight, clean and perfect. I could spend 3 days in this place and still not comprehend the inventory — just great! Will be back, over and over and over again, because that’s how projects go!

I love this place. My husband and I bought our house and it needed a LOT of work. There was a cabinet door missing and we needed to find a matching replacement — there are tons and tons of cabinet doors here! And they’re $ 10! Can’t beat that deal. The selection is fantastic, and there’s more stuff than you can dream of — floors, trim, moulding, doors, windows, sinks, faucets, locks, base cabinets, etc. It’s like Disneyland.

I wish I had found this place a few years ago when I started major remodel projects on my house. Their inventory is well organized, and if you can’t find something, their staff is friendly and helpful. The best part is their prices. Everything I purchased recently was about ¹⁄₃ the price of the same thing at Home Depot.

This place is a huge warehouse of extra construction pieces. Doors wedged in racks like so many library books, piles of mismatched cabinets, sinks, prefab countertops, doorknobs, and several aisles of things I couldn’t identify but my hubby found fascinating. Must be a guy thing.
While we were renovating our house we gave this place a good once over to see if we could save some money by picking up some of the things we needed. While only a particularly awesome bathroom sink was up to our modern tastes, if we were flipping a house or had more traditional tastes, this place would be a goldmine. The sink, which we got for about $ 25 – 30, was at least $ 200 on the online retail site I was going to buy it from. If shabby chic is your thing, you could do really well here.
Also, it should be noted you can haggle with these guys. A lot of the stuff doesn’t have prices and they kinda seem to make ‘em up on the fly, so feel free to do some wheeling and dealing.

Developments are popping up in Denver, like acne pops up an a young adolescent boy’s lip, and when contractors buy one to two hundred more kitchen and bathroom cabinets than they needed, they sell them to Extra Build, who in tern sells them to us, the hungry public.
Extra Build is the place to come if you can claim that you are thrifty and sporadic enough to pick out our kitchen, bathroom or living room cabinets at the time you encounter the item. The stock may or may not come as a complete set and there are no more colors in the back. What you see is what they got and is what you get… (fewww, try saying that one fast). The benefit of course, is brand new cabinetry sometimes 90% off.
Things are not cheap here, but most of the items are brand new and in great if not perfect shape… don’t come in here expecting layout ideas or combination examples, this is certainly no IKEA. This is a haven for flippers and or a great way to spruce up many different rooms in your house for a fraction of the budget.
Great finds include bathroom sink pedestals, TV and living room cabinetry, and amazing interior and exterior doors, including screen and sliding doors for every room of the house.
You can also be creative here and just go here to pick up goodies for artsy projects that may or may not have anything to do with your home, apartment or flip. About four months ago, I was on a mission for a way to make my own jewelry box. I was looking for a long wooden box that I could hang on the wall, cover the interior with velvet and screw nails into the wood so I could store my necklaces and earrings in it and feel like a princess when I opened it. Well, I definitely found what I was looking for, but I could never bare to spend the usual $ 75 – 100 fee for the wood itself. So, I guess I just went to kind of tease myself and see if I could find a screaming deal. That is where this place looses a star.
Another project that you could do here is a mirror. You can find tons of wood scraps here, as well as framed wood or window-​frames (glass free). Take a mirror of the same size, place it behind the frame and screw the wood together if necessary or attach it to the mirror. This will cost you hundreds less then what it would to purchase new, and takes less then an hour to make yourself. (I was going on a TLC rampage there.)

It still seems expensive to me.
