EXDO Event Center

I’ve attended several events and participated in one.
First, I consider it irresponsible to not offer free tap water when alcohol is being served. It’s not caring for your patrons’ well-​being. I have learned to bring my own water in my car whenever attending to avoid dehydration if I don’t want to charge $ 3.50 to my cc for tap water.
Second, in the event I participated in, despite very clear instructions from the planner the event center was not prepared at all. They did not provide seating to the event performers in the changing areas or the setup for performance. I would not want to work with the Exdo center for event planning… it sounded like a nightmare.
Third, kuddos to whomever cleans. The bathrooms were clean

We held a corporate event here and were very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and disorganization of our event planner on site.
Accounting at the bar wasn’t accurate, our contact was nowhere to be found during the event and the AV «tech» instructed me to run the computer during the presentation because he hadn’t been given any guidance prior.
I don’t know if the guests noticed the glitches but for those of us staffing the event, it was a nightmare and by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a venue.

My work had a party here during Roller Prom, and we all had a BLAST! It was SO cheap to get in (free before 10pm!), and only $ 5 for roller skates! They have the roller rink in the back, and Karaōke towards the front. The roller rink isn’t the biggest I’ve ever seen, and the floor has some cracks and stuff (somewhat dangerous for the novice roller skater), but it’s a ton of fun! They have a bar in the roller rink room, as well as the Karaōke room. They’ll even sell you sippy cups so you don’t spill stuff all over the floor, for $ 3 extra of course:) I hear that they do themed roller skating nights once/​month, and count me in!

Roller night is fun! Drag Nation is usually pretty good! The Jackalope Arts & Craft fair was absolutely awesome! There is plenty of room to dance and waiting for a drink doesn’t take that long. The drinks are super strong so you don’t need that many.
But the bartenders seem to act like you are bother. Seriously don’t be a bartender if you are going to roll your eyes if someone asks for something. I don’t know what their problem is… rant over.
Taxis go fast so call for one ahead with your name on it. There is some street parking but it runs out quickly.

I have been to EXDO for both the Jackalope Art & Craft Fair and several concerts. I must say that this venue is incredibly versatile! I love how they utilize ever aspect of it’s ample space for the Arts & Crafts Fair. They even have a beach party that happens every weekend in the summer. Yeah that’s right I said a beach party! Check out the listing for the Rino Beach Club. Which seems to coincide with some of the other events happening so you can swing by both. Score! My concert experiences have been awesome as well. They fit a ton of people in such a small space and the acoustics are actually pretty darn good.
I agreed with Katie R that parking here can be a bit of a b!@tch, but just know that you may have to walk a couple blocks or carpool with you friends. We live in Denver, we all don’t mind a bit of walking right? ;-)

This place is a piece of shit. High cover prices, with ever increasing drink prices. I don’t even pay this shit in LA. Don’t bother coming to their events, it’s just a bunch of promoters looking to exploit gay money.

I’m reviewing the EXDO Event Center for the Raise the Macallan whiskey tasting event. They did an excellent job of making this event very luxurious and intimate. I’d never been to EXDO before this and would never guess that it’s a large event hall. Prior to getting seated, we were offered small snacks and had the opportunity to have our pictures taken. For the actual whiskey tasting, they had leather couches and tables set up in front of the stage making it feel casual but high end which I thought was a great setup.

Every experience I’ve had with working with EXDO has been so seamless and easy. From set-​up to clean up they handle it with ease. In addition, the event coordinator, Ching, is so accommodating and eager to help out with any question, event idea, concern.
But what I really most about EXDO is the community events they provide Denver. At reasonable costs, you can find anything going on at EXDO. Whether it’s a $ 5 roller skating party or the final Friday drag night — there really sing something exciting going on. Sure, it’s not a low key, dive bar where you just go to grab a beer on a Monday night — but the event production here is worth seeing and experiencing. It’s a huge warehouse for every event dream to come true. They even work consistently with non-​profits, which is admiral business move that should always be recognized.

I am reviewing this for Roll Denver, which is the roller skating event. Someone told us about this ‘warehouse’ down the street so we rode our bikes and came across it. We had absolutely no idea what we were getting into. Long story short, by the time we made it inside we were floored that it was a roller rink! What a surprise!
My first instinct was to grab a drink, served in sippy cups by the way, and to watch for a bit and leave. My friend decided we were actually going to skate! To get skates, it took maybe 10 minutes for $ 5. It might have been the best $ 5 spent in a long time. I felt like I was 10 years old again skating around to 80s music. I had an absolute blast! And to be able to drink while skating was a complete bonus! It’s really everything you’d ever want– skating and drinking without kids! Loved it!

The actual space at the exdo center is really spacious and great for events. I have been here for a couple of occasions, one being the Unilocal factory fête event which was amazing!
Twice I have been for the roller-​skating, the first time was almost a year ago and I believe it was run by a different company because it has changed drastically since then. It is now Roll Denver and it offered every third Friday. Overall, I give this event 3 and half stars because there is major opportunity for improvement. After you fight the long line to get in you are prompted to get on your phones and sign a liability form (hopefully I didn’t just sign away my first born because I just went through the prompts) you then go through three different people and get two different stamps THEN you get to point where you pay… which was a fair price of $ 5 that includes your skates. Once you are through that line you wait in another line to get your skates! Now, it was late when we arrived so it might be better if you get there earlier the 11:30pm. We decided to forgo the line and grab skates that were being returned since there was just piles of skates everywhere and no organization. After that it is skate time! What I miss from the first time I went is that they actually had sippy cups that you put your booze in this time around they just gave us plastic cups with a lid and straw.
Once on the «skate arena» which basically circles around the center of the room… you have to be careful and fall from the many divots on the ground… and avoid people colliding, falling in front of you. Personally, I think it is a great time familiarizing myself to my favorite childhood pastime! They just need to pull it together and make it more organized.

I have been to EXDO several times for many different types of events. Concerts, fundraisers, ping pong… It is a large, cavernous space but the folks at EXDO can really make it into anything you want. From large concert mosh-​pit, to classy sit down dinner, to dance floor and bars… it is a versatile space.
I have had some really good interactions with management and overall, a great experience at EXDO!

There’s a few neat things about this space if you’re considering using it for an event. The layout is very very open which lends to a better shared experience for everyone, and it you want to create some anti-​rooms off to the side they can accommodate pretty much whatever you need. There’s a large open space that serves as a great dance floor, and the perimeter can hold a dozen or so food and booze tables as well as a number of couches and lounge areas.
Conversely, there’s some odd things about this place. First of all is the location. I’ve lived here for many years and there’s still a stigma about 5 points. It’s getting better, but for the uppity crowd, they will turn away pretty quickly when they see where it is. Then there’s the lack of signage guiding you to the front entrance. It was 2 degrees the night I came here and I circled the building almost twice before seeing someone go in a side entrance that apparently is the main one. Inside the bathrooms are split up oddly, with the men’s being on the left side of the stage and the women’s being to the right and far back.
The entrance could use some work if you’re trying to queue lots of people through ticketing and coat check. It got very congested. They also have this very odd back (secret) bar that has three bartenders bored to tears and no customers. Similarly there is a main bar off to the right that wasn’t up and running during our event.

Came to this venue for the Unilocal Factory Fête event. It’s a big open space with a checkered dance floor. For the Warhol theme of the event, the venue covered the walls with tin foil, which added a really cute touch. There’s at least one bar in the corner, possibly two. The stage has huge screens and the DJ is on an elevated platform.
I wouldn’t recommend this venue for say, a wedding, but it would be great for a party or any other non-​formal event. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to find. I’ll definitely keep this spot in mind if I ever need to book a venue!

We did not even know this Event Center was here. What a great place for an event! It is large and very clean. We attended a Unilocal event here, and I have to say I was really surprised at the great location and parking. It is in an industrial warehouse area and you really wouldn’t know it was here if you drove by. The most impressive thing was the very clean and modern restrooms. I sure didn’t expect that. We will definitely come back here if an event we are looking to attend is hosted here. Sound system was awesome as well.

First time ever being at this event center for the Beer and Bacon Festival!
What a great event! I felt that it was organized and set up very well!
They could have had more places to sit though, but over all what a great turn out!
I don’t think I have ever eaten so much bacon in one sitting.
The options they had to pick from were all delicious, everything from Bacon bread putting to Bacon corn dogs and even Bacon ice Cream! The beer selection was just as good from what I tasted.
They had all the food on one side and the beer on the other. So it was easy to find a drink and then go find some food.
They give you one plastic small cup and you get a pretty awesome spork you can keep as a remembrance of the event.
I can’t wait till next years!

This review is for the Exdo Annex at 3090 Downing Street.
We held our wedding reception here this past weekend and I can not say enough about how wonderful the event was. We worked with Ching, who did an amazing job working within our limited budget and making it work! The venue is really lovely and classy with an awesome dance floor and outdoor patio. The food was fantastic and we continue to get compliments. The staff was amazing and the bartenders were super generous! We had a couple of hiccups (as any event of this type will) but the staff did an amazing job of addressing them right away and making it all work.
I’ll definitely be looking to this group for our next event!!!

Was just here for Alkaline Trio and Bayside. Parking was kind of a pain, but there is plenty of street available, which is great (read: free).
Security outside was fine, moved the line along pretty quickly and appreciated the fact that they actually had security for so many people.
The bars were put in sort of strange places, and there was not a real line to speak of (next time, I think maybe a couple tension barriers might help). They did have free water off to the side of the bars, though, which was great.
The venue itself is just sort of a big warehouse, which doesn’t make for the best acoustic experience, but I was near the front and only noticed it when I was in back checking out the merch.
I saw disruptive fans talked to, and removed if it continued, which I also appreciated. The security up front had no problems catching crowd surfers and making sure everyone was having a good time.
It’s not gonna blow any minds, but I think this is certainly a serviceable venue for a large crowd. I’d go to another show here.

I came here last night to see a fantastic band, unfortunately the hearing part of the experience was somewhat diminished. It actually reminded me of the places we went to see garage bands in high school, sad to say.
The Exdo center is a massive open warehouse. Wide open space with bars against the back walls. The sound quality is pretty bad. I tried repositioning myself a few times to see if it was a matter of my proximity to the stage and speakers, but no, it really was just poor all over. The other major downside was the bars. There’s several bar tending stations to grab drinks, but it’s simply a giant cluster of people. I missed almost half a set waiting to get a beer, and I got in line right after one band was done. Over 45 minutes. There’s no order at all, the venue should try roping it off, because what happened was people just snuck in somewhere trying to get served. The bartenders were just too slow, it was complete chaos, and the prices were far too high. There’s also no food or tap beer.
In the plus column, security was on their game. They were spaced out well throughout the venue and I saw two fights that got shut down and the idiots removed immediately with almost no interruption for the crowd trying to enjoy the show.
Still, between the sound and the bar situation, which I must say was simply inexcusable, I really don’t plan on coming here again.

This place is bush league when it comes to show venues. Yes it is a large space but that doesn’t translate into a good venue.
— The sound quality is not great. Not sure the issue but it doesn’t sound nearly as good as other venues in town.
— The drink situation is ridiculous. The lines takes atleast 15 minutes to get through and they don’t even have draft beer. It’s also over priced, even for a show. I’m usually not one to complain about booze prices but I felt a little violated.
— It seemed over sold to me. I get selling out and wanting to get people in the door … but getting too many people in there seems to bring diminishing returns. Too many people equals you cant move around and the bar lines are outrageous.
I don’t see myself coming back to this venue for a show … it would have to be one hell of a band for me to deal with this place again.

I’ve been here three times, all for awesome events [Firemen’ s calendar promo, Denver Fashion weekend’s fashion show & most recently Unwined! ] and i really dig this venue.
–Large and spacious space. perfect for all kinds of events!
–Super nice staff & volunteers
–Nice outdoor space, perfect for food trucks!
–Clean and tidy venue :)
The only downside about here, is parking is a bitch. with no lot, it’s all street parking, so be prepared to walk a few blocks or pay for a cab!
