History

Established in 1999.

Devil’s Food opened it’s doors as a little bakery and expanded in 2004 to become a full restaurant offering pastries, a full breakfast, brunch, lunch & supper.

It is with exuberance that we rattle the iron triangle commending the two year anniversary of our kitchen leader, Chef Brian Crow (a native of Ashville, NC). Brian trained and mentored with Fred Schneider (formerly of The French Laundry) and Duane Fernandes (formerly of Per Se). Both Schneider and Fernandes worked directly under celebrated Chef and author Thomas Keller.

Our pastries have a French tendency, but with an owner having a flare for the county fair, you’ll find a spot of that as well.

We make everything at Devil’s Food in small batches from scratch daily using only the finest ingredients.

We are a cellphone free environment for our guests and we recycle & compost for the world.

Hope to see you soon!
