Tony and Sharon are awesome. My husband and I had to travel out of town last minute for a family situation. We have two kittens, one was only 5 months old, the other almost a year old. Because of their age we were really worried about having a friend stop by here and there. The littlest one could get into so much trouble in between the visits! I called a few places, but something about speaking to Tony made me feel like they would be the best decision (and there’s a lot of options in Denver!).
We found out we needed to travel on a Monday, they worked us in to meet us on a Tuesday (working around our crazy hours), and then we flew out on Wednesday and Sharon took over. A two day notice for a new client is really incredible. Every day we got text messages from Sharon with cute pictures and updates of our kittens. We were able to focus on our family and not stress about anything. And by the end, our shyest (hardest to win over) kitten was playing with Sharon and loving her so I can tell they approved too. Thank you to Denver metro pet sitters for saving the day and for taking care of our little ones.
One last thing — we just bought a house and are sadly out of the area that they serve, but upon reaching out to Tony, he made sure we found a new pet sitter in our new area that was just as reputable as his own company. SO so helpful and nice. Great company, 5 stars.

If I could give this business less than one star, I would. Abruptly canceled service without providing adequate time to find a replacement. Extremely unprofessional attitude and conduct. Very disappointed.

Thanks to Tony, Claire, and everyone on staff! I was really worried about having to leave our little-​old-​lady dog with almost no notice and right after a big surgical procedure (two teeth removed, under anesthesia for a while, 13 year old dog). When she gets stressed, she often refuses to eat and I was concerned that oral surgery and not having us around would make that worse than usual. When I got home after the DMPS crew looked after her, she was as happy as can be, ready to eat, and clearly in great shape for her recovery.
She’s still upset with me for taking her to the vet, but she is doing great and I can’t tell you how much stress it takes off me to know what a great job everyone did.
We’ve had months of experience using this crew for our regular pet sitting and they’ve always been outstanding. Claire especially keeps us updated on both of our dogs and sends pictures of them enjoying their walks. She even takes it in stride when we unexpectedly added a third crazy pup to the mix.
Couldn’t be happier with our decision to use DMPS. I love everything about their service (including my ability to book over text and pay electronically — including tip!).

I couldn’t be happier with my experience. It was my first weekend away from my dog since I moved to Denver. My dog experiences high separation anxiety, and Tony and Sharon were able to accommodate. A log was kept of times of each visit, pee/​poop, and if walked. I also received many texts reassuring everything was fine, and including pictures (which I loved). I will definitely be using them again for my next weekend trip!

Tony and his wonderful staff are an outstanding investment in the happiness of your pet. I had special needs for my dog and was staying at a hotel in downtown Denver and they came to my hotel, sat with my dog while I had to attend to some business, and were not only sweet and kind to my furbaby, but wonderfully accommodating to me.
If you are looking for a long-​term relationship, Denver Metro would certainly be my choice. But if you need a reliable, short-​term solution, I couldn’t recommend them any more highly.

Recommend highly. My cat Buddy who used to be okay staying alone recently had some medical issues where he needed some meds. My job takes me away from home few days a month so I needed to find some help with Buddy. Left a message and was responded to the next day! Tony came over to a «meet & greet» to get info on locks, alarms and of course Buddy.
It’s just Buddy & me at the house right now so it is a relief to know when I’m out of town everything at home is good and most importantly Buddy is good. Tony always sends a text about his visits and will send a pic of Buddy sunning on the outside deck when it’s warm outside.
Very reliable and even visited Buddy Christmas Day and New Years Day!
And most important, it’s easy to tell Tony really likes and enjoys being with Buddy!

I was SO very disappointed with Denver Metro Pet Sitters. We had Sharon walking our boxer 2x a week and unfortunately she neglected our dog, lacked common sense and we caught her in several lies.
Lies:
–The in/​out times were inaccurate, (we have an alarm system that records every time a door opens)
–she said she was taking him for walks when she wasn’t, (no access to sidewalks from gates and didn’t go out the front door again the alarm system showed open/​close times
Neglect:
–She didn’t give him water on multiple occasions and then lied about it! I had a bad feeling after catching her in several lies (and seeing the water bowl near empty before after she said she checked it) so call me a cynic but I tested her to see if she would be honest. I left the water bowl empty and came home to an empty bowl with a check mark on the «checked/​filled water» box. When I sent her a text about it she flat out lied and said he definitely got water and she checked it, though now she wonders why she didn’t tell him to slow down (if he drinks fast he throws up). Poor guy had no water for 9 hours while we were working. When we got home would drink 3 bowls in a row! Letting him potty and get water is the whole reason we paid this company!!! (This happened more than once)
Common sense:
Little things like I would say the treats are in the green bucket by Dexters kennel and she would leave a note saying that she couldn’t find the treats.
Bad habits:
Since we hired her Dexter began misbehaving. He has never been a whiner, and now he can’t be in his kennel without pitching a fit. He also has become defiant.
She is scared of boxers after being bit recently. I don’t know if this factors in but it has cost us more training classes and finding a new dog sitter.
When we called to cancel there were no apologies offered by Tony, which is unfortunate. He seems like he loves animals, but his lack of caring was upsetting. I’m assuming he has known about Sharon’s issues otherwise he would have made some effort to keep us as customers. Instead he just set up a time to get the key. No excuses, no apologies, no questions, no explanations.
I understand she would rather be teaching yoga, but in that case she should stop dog walking.

AMAZING! My cats were the happiest… usually when I return from a trip they look sad and exhausted. But, Tony musta loved ‘em up so good, they did’nt even care I was gone for 6 days. I even had to extend a day and Tony was more than happy to oblige.

Love! Holly & Tony did an excellent job. Very professional, and they obviously care about the animals they take care of. Daily messages, they left a note to tell us exactly what was done, remembered everything we asked of them, and were just overall kind and easy to deal with. You can tell if anything goes wrong, they’ll handle it ASAP. I felt very comfortable and at ease leaving our pets/​house in their care. Highly recommended.

Rob takes care of our Great Danes, Clyde and Louis when we are on trips that they can’t go. We couldn’t be more pleased. Dogs love him and the daily texts are great.
These boys are family to us and I would not take giving an excellent review of Denver Metro Pet Sitters lightly.
Extremely reliable and goes the extra mile to make our trip worry free!

Tony is by far and away one of the best finds since I moved to Denver! He is always willing to accommodate my travel schedule, sends me daily updates on how their doing, and genuinely cares about doing his job professionally and with compassion. I depend on him constantly, and wouldn’t have it any other way!

1. One of the pet sitters lost my house keys. I wasn’t informed of this until I book another appointment WEEKS later. I find this unacceptable. 2. I went out of town for the weekend, the sitter was suppose to check on my dog 4 times over the course of the weekend. Come to find out Sunday that no one checked on my dog. Thankfully a friend of mine went over to my house immediately to check on my dog once I found out she was left unattended to make sure she was okay. I will NEVER trust them with my dog again.

I have had Tony and Rob watch my cats several times. They genuinely seemed to care about them, kneeling down to their level to approach them and asking detailed questions about their likes and dislikes. I have trusted them to come into my home when I am not there and they have always maintained that trust. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good pet sitting service.

They do good work! I have called on less than 48-​hours notice and Tony is more than accommodating. You will get a text after every session they spend with you dog regarding behavior, if she has been eating or anything really. It is very reassuring when you are off in the mountains and are unable to take your pup with you!
To start off, Tony likes to come meet your pup with one of his walkers. The session lasts about 30 minutes and allows your dog to be acquainted with their new friends. Once you have met with Tony, everything else is done online. You make the request, then within a few hours Tony will give you a call to confirm your visits. Once confirmed a bill is generated and you pay online with a credit card.
If you are thinking about leaving town without your pup, I highly recommend this in home service! It beats a kennel anyday!

I greatly wanted to add to the many accolades Denver Metro Pet Sitters has received on Unilocal,but unfortunately I cannot. It was because of the wonderful reviews they have received that I chose to have this company pet sit for my diabetic cat and provide him with injections while I was out of town on business. Although Tony and Amy came over for a trial run to meet my cat and complete an injection while I was present, they were unsuccessful in providing the necessary injections while I was away due my cat becoming aggressive as a result of his illness and my absence. I understand that because of this the company/​sitters were not able to provide the service, I do not take issue with this. I do however take issue with their choice to inform me of this problem via text by saying «We will not go back.» When my call for more information was returned (several hours later) we had a discussion about the inability to complete the service.
Unfortunately, I had already paid for the 2 days of service and although I reminded them to apply the new client’s coupon of $ 10 off, it was not deducted from the total. Upon my return home, I emailed Tony and requested a refund, as I do not feel obligated to pay for services not rendered. When I didn’t receive a response for over a week I called and left a message requesting a response. I received a message from Tony stating that the key to my home had been lost (which occurred twice) but that a refund would be issued and sent via regular mail. This message was left over a month ago and I still have not received a refund. Any attempts to contact the company further regarding this issue have been ignored. I have filed a claim against the transaction with my bank and hope to receive a refund soon.
I thought Tony was a very nice man and I wish things had turned out differently. The situation has been extremely frustrating to say the least. I believe that if it were handled in a more professional manner I could have added another complimentary review to the pile. I will not only never use the service again, but I truly wish I had used a different one all together!

Tony and Rob are great and take wonderful care of my cats when I go out of town for work. I don’t hestitate leaving them in their care. The text message updates are great, I even got picture mail once!

I absolutely adore this company. Tony and Rob have been nothing but FANTASTIC! My dogs love them and they are always prompt and on time. I sometimes give them short notice, and they always fit me in and treat my boys like rock stars. They have been lifesavers on many occasions.
I trust them to be at my house, which is so nice! their prices are definitely within my budget.
I always receive a text message with an update as soon as they leave.
Very friendly.

We loved working with Tony and our sitter Rob! We contacted Denver Metro Pet Sitters just a few days before a weekend trip to Phoenix. Our 11 year old kitty is on Thyroid meds that she needs every day. Tony was able to fit us in, and quickly scheduled an intial visit where the sitter could meet our pet (Zoe). It was really comforting to have them come to our home with us there, they asked very thorough questions about Zoe and spent some time with her so that she could get to know the sitter.
As stated, we received a text after each visit with our pet letting us know how everything went. Meds were given as needed, and our little kitty seemed calmer when we got home (she is normally super anxious to see us!).
Will use again and recommend their services to anyone looking for a professional and caring pet sitter.

Tony and Jessie are life savers. When my work schedule picked up, I was worried about my little ones, but I know they are in good hands. I have been using them for over four months now and it has been great. They leave a progress report when they go, so I know what the dogs did.
I highly recommend them.

I started using Tony and Austin to watch my animals when I had a last minute flight and they were very accommodating. I live in a downtown high-​rise with a cat, an epileptic miniature pinscher, and a 9 month old great dane. I was gone two days and Tony and Austin kept me in the loop and updated me every time they dropped by to let me know how every one was doing.
Unfortunately for my miniature pinscher, she experienced a seizure in their care. Thankfully it was while she was under supervision from Austin and he turned down the lights and helped her relax and made sure the apartment was quiet for her when he finally left for the night per my instructions.
They were amazing to my animals and to me, they made sure all medications were taken on schedule and were on time for every visit. I couldn’t have ben happier with them. Hands down the best pet sitters I’ve used.
